So basically expect $50 premium planes which will be all but required to fund your high tier planes.

I'm excited for this game and all, but the fact that they're trumpeting the inclusion of a mainstay FPS game mode worries me. Are we supposed to be impressed?

They should finish World of Tanks first... It's been open beta/release for like 1.5 years and they still expect you to be satisfied with grinding thousands of matches in 1 generic game mode.

Doh! I was really looking forward to not having to wait until the 21st to check out the combat.

I guess I have time for a few more Civ 4 games though.

"DDO is easily the biggest MMORPG let down in recent memmory. Talk about taking a huge franchise and throwing it away. Things doesn't look good for Turbine's other MMORPG, LOTR."

You obviously haven't tried RF Online. LOL.

SOE has never been good at making 3d engines. It shows in EQ2, but the game is good regardless. Just don't be expecting the FPS you'd want in a shooter, Unless you've got a fx 60 and a $500 video card. The graphics are better than WoW's at least, but that isn't saying much.

It wasn't just bullet drop, sometimes you'd hit to either side of where you were aiming, because of the bullet deviation. It was especially noticible with the m95. It wasn't a big deal except at long ranges when someones head is pretty tiny.

Hmm so an "IT" company is going to finish it. Doesn't sound promising.

Maybe they'll finish the game before selling it this time... naaahhh thats not their style. I waited 6 months to pick up bf2 and it was still buggy as hell. I might end up checking this out if quake wars gets old. At least splash damage has a reputation for excellence.

35. Re: C: drive free space? Feb 14, 2006, 19:25 Nick Wilson

The incremental patch asked me for about 1400 megs of free space ... for a 80 meg patch, oh yeah. Its worth it though, the changes are awesome. You can totally pick people off with MGs now. Its crazy actually seeing people play support now.

Haha, man those key selling points are hilarious. I hope whoever wrote that press release got fired. For EA and valves sake.

I played the beta and still plan on picking it up. I know a lot of people have bad things to say about it, but I think its pretty sweet. I love the combat and the D&D feel. Sure its a little light on content, but so are most newly released MMORPGs. It definately has more content than guildwars, but I can see why some people don't think its worth the monthly fee.

Personally I plan on playing it for my free month then waiting a couple months for more content to get added before resubscribing.

This game is a total piece of shit. Releasing a demo was a huge mistake on their part. Some people may have actually bought the game if they hadn't. RIP rainbow 6 franchise.
