uhhhh.... Baldur's Gate isn't comparable in scale to ANY TES game. Not even close. Maybe if you could find a TES mod that ties a rope to both the beginning of the game and the conclusion of the last quest(is there such a thing?) for you to follow then maybe...
Baldur's Gate feels streamlined because it isn't of "grand scale"
