Guys, take your pointy tin foil hats off. How did they get the information that she had mental health issues? They googled her. You can to - look up her name: Ellen Richardson.

Or maybe you prefer to believe that the NSA hacked into Canada's healthcare database and then turned the info over to customs.

Also: I hear that there never was a Soviet Union, much less a fall of the eastern block. It's a lie perpetrated by evil capitalists meant to discredit the virtues of communism.

The real story here is how stupid some people can be by spewing info like that all over the internet and then be surprised that the government can in fact use public search engines. And then there is the fact that apparently no one else uses a search engine - they just take it for granted that some reporter is not trying to slant the story.

Are you really going to stand by that total load of crap? Are you really suggesting boarder agents google people? They actually google someones name on the fucking internet!? I really have to ask, have you ever used google!?, ever? You really think an agent is going to sit there and sift through pages and pages of internet crap to verify someones history and identity? Only stupid person here is the one who actually believes that load of shit. He accessed a government database, period... and WTF does the USSR have to do with it?

From the article "Disabled woman denied entry to U.S. after agent cites supposedly private medical details":
U.S. Customs and Border Protection media spokeswoman Jenny Burke said that due to privacy laws, "the department is prohibited from discussing specific cases."

They're taking the piss...

I was just going to quote that. Apparently those privacy laws aren't in effect when you go snooping through someone's medical records? Especially when said someone isn't an American citizen, so how the fuck did you get access to their records to begin with?

US Government grills medical providers about HIPAA; ignores HIPAA itself.
US Government grills every single legitimate buyer about software piracy; pirates software itself.

The pattern is becoming nicely clear.

That pattern has been clear for decades, at least to people who live outside the states, been pretty much the US foreign policy since the 60s.

Well Casino was pretty much expected considering the building is in the game with a big sign saying opening soon. Indoor race track is a surprise, I assume they will be opening the big stadium down by the port, nice. Racing for pink slips, ya guess it'll be something for the money glitches to do, highly doubt anyone who has earned their money legitimately is going to risk all that work on one race... though I suppose it could be used as a way to give one of your cars to a friend.

EDIT hmm listening to the audio files sounds like you'll also be able to buy money generating properties (online?) and also sounds like you'll be able to run drugs and weapons in free roam.

EDIT Borderlands 2 and Grid 2 to hit instant game collection next month for PSN+, sweet.

So EA is going all in on the Star Wars franchise, that's three devs now working on SW games. Normally 3 Star Wars games in production would be friken awesome news, but in EAs hands, not so much.

Here's what the mainstream media thinks of video games

You know nothing Jon Snow.

A person who cannot see or understand another point of view outside of their own world view. Had a relative once give me the whole grow up video games are for kids routine. This person then proceeded to tell me how great this soap opera they watch is. Just like the old geezer in the video who cannot fathom that video games are simply just entertainment. He doesn't find it entertaining so therefore it must have a beneficial impact in order to justify it. I'm quite sure whatever he enjoys wasting time on seems quite justified and needs no other explanation other then he enjoys it.

Decided to not buy Skyrim, had that Sleeping Dogs and Dead Island in my cart. Then I thought, I got 5 PC games yet to play and probably that many untouched PS3 games and not to mention I'm pretty much only playing GTA right now... and I'm thinking of buying more games?

Uh, the "dedicated fans" don't wait for DLC prices to drop below 15 dollar, which they are definitely worth (They're not worth the 15 dollars if you compare them to the grandiosity of the vanilla game but NO SHIT!!!!!).

Notice that I said the "more" dedicated fans. I didn't say the "most" dedicated fans. If I wasn't a dedicated fan, I would wait to buy it when the Legendary version went on sale for $7.50.

This is where I'm at. Do I wait until I can get the whole package on the cheap or just grab the vanilla game now. Thing for me is, will I ever play the DLC. Hearthfire looks like something I'd use on my play through but the other two would probably never get used. This is what happened to me with FNV, waited until I got the whole thing on the cheap, sunk over a hundred hours into the vanilla game then stopped playing. Same with Oblivion and Fallout 3, by the time I was done with the vanilla games I was done... though TBH I did start one of the DLCs for FNV and it sucked.

I'll say one thing about the Hobbit movie, that scene with the battling rock giants was stupid, way over the top, and pointless. A simple rockslide would have done the job. Not a big fan of the whole miracle fall down the crevice after the big goblin battle either. Was beginning to wonder if Lucas got his hands on it Otherwise I enjoyed the movie, it does feel a little weird though, seeing as Smaug has pretty much become a sub plot in a story where the dragon is supposed to be the main plot.

Hmm could become a reliable source for game reviews. The fact you actually have to own and have played the game you are reviewing is a huge plus. Not saying it can't be abused, but it becomes less likely.

Your edit is correct, but really? You're betting that no electronic consumer product has ever had a fail rate over 50%?

Seriously?

OK I did overly generalize in my statement, but if you consider it in the context of the conversation, yes. So let me put it in the context of the conversation. I would bet there has been no "name brand" "mass produced consumer electronic product" ever that comes anywhere near the original 360s fail rate, it's unprecedented.

... and I believe this is due to a culture in Microsoft. They are\were a software company and developed the culture of release now patch later. I think this mentality got into the 360 development, they wanted to beat Sony to the punch so put the product out with the idea that they could simply fix any problems with a software update. Sony on the other hand being a electronics company understood this and built their machine from a strictly electronics standpoint... which of course cost them on the software side.

Sony seemed to have learned their lesson this time and also took into account the people who make the software... and while it remains to be seen I would fully expect Microsoft to have learned their lesson that the electronics have to work out of the box.

Yeah but 1 vs how many?

I still think it's funny how opposite this console generation is compared to the last one, where Sony was the Asshole, but Microsoft had the RROD.

How is it opposite? Even if 10,000 PS4's are broken (which at this point I highly doubt there are or it would be a statistic on every single gaming site so far, at most estimated is like 1,000), that would be less than 1% failure rate.

Nowhere even close to the RROD's 15+%
or the PS3's 5%
or the Wii's 5%

In fact if they're anywhere close to 1% thats a fucking magnificent launch. There will always be hardware failures.

You may want to wait and see if Microsoft botched their manufacturing again and how many of their consoles have hardware failures tonight when the system actually launches and people start getting systems in their hot little hands before you start fanboying.

Not fanboi'ing as I plan on buying a PS4 long before a Xbox One. But go back to the launch of the 360 and PS4. Sony was telling you how you would need a second job to buy it's console, and Microsoft had the RROD issue (but if I could find the link Sony had just as many Yellow Light of Deaths over the course of it's existence, not to mention if you had a backwords compatible PS3 and it died you were screwed out the wazoo).

But (damn I can't find my links) what was amazing is how low key the PS3 deaths were compared to the 360's.

Da fuck!? What alternate universe do you live in? ... and how was Microsoft not complete assholes last gen? They had absolutely no intention whatsoever of fixing or replacing RROD consoles until the public went bat shit on them because of their abysmal failure rate and forced Microsoft to do something. There is nothing amazing about PS3 not being compared to the 360, because there was no comparison. Hell I would bet there has been no electronic consumer product ever that comes anywhere near the original 360s fail rate, it's unprecedented.

EDIT and out of the box broken isnt what concerns me the most. Working consoles breaking after a month or more of usage will be the test.

I wasn't really impressed with Black Mesa. The part outside where you fight a horde of aliens and soldiers was utterly compressed into basically two small rooms, they shortened the railroad section by a LOT, and there were a few other sections where they shortened stuff, which just felt annoying.

Overall when I played it, I just kept thinking "You know, this would have been really cool if I could've played it in 2006."

I think it's amazing that they made it, and persevered with it for so long, and I hope it helps them get a job in the gaming industry if they want, but I wouldn't pay for a commercial release.

They did a really good job on it, right up until on a rail, then it kind of went off the rail. Not to say the quality of the later levels wasn't done well, and some of them were fantastic... but they somehow broke the flow and feeling of the game with their re-imagining of the later levels. BM did not have the same transition from the army hunting you, to the army fighting you and aliens, to the army getting slaughtered until they finally bail and leave you fighting the invaders alone.

Well, well, well... Beach Bum Pack has hit GTA and the 1.6 patch is a motherload.

Unfortunately they caved on the 'bad sport' crying so I fully expect the public free roam sessions to be a clusterfuck. Try to enjoy yourself now as the money glitchers who own tanks rain death to everyone and camp residences, guess I'll be doing the crew only sessions even more now. Oh and if you did races or parachuting instead of glitching for your money, hope you got your money cause the payouts have been nuked big time. Gotta get the people to buy those GTA dollars, can't have them earning enough by just playing.

On a positive note however, they have removed all vehicles from garages that aren't supposed to be there and eliminated the glitches that allowed it... heh for now anyway as I'm sure the kiddies will find another way. Should be interesting at least, I'll have to log on to see how it's panned out.

There's no way to keep a vehicle in this game, right, other than always returning it to a garage?
You get the 5 vehicles your main characters keep driving (1 for Trevor, 2 for Michael, alternating, 2 for Franklin), and... that's it?

If you buy a vehicle you can leave it without returning it to the garage. It will get impounded so you just need to collect it from the impound yard. So once you buy the garages for the main characters you can have another 4 vehicles each, and you can have a 5th vehicle for their home garage, but that one does need to be returned to the garage or you will lose it... that said I've lost cars I bought for the purchased garage, but that's supposed to be fixed now... haven't played single player since online went online.
