That's quite the video, color me impressed. I hope they can pull it off before they burn through all that cash.

This presentation should put to rest some of the criticism relating to the slow pace of development

That's one unfinished planetside station after a whole years work. How many of these has he envisioned? True the first has a lot more involved with it and it will get streamlined onwards, but you're still looking at many years of work... unless of course every single planetside station is a cut and paste copy, I got the impression that wasn't going to be the case.

My largest concern with the game is that the world is to big. Whenever I watched anyone else play they'd have mission objectives half way across the map so everyone ended up using cheats to get helicopters to make the travel shorter because by car it's a 20 minute drive.. real time.

Huh? Were they riding bicycles? Even in a semi truck pulling a gas tanker there's no place that is 20 min away. As for cheating to get a helo... huh? They spawn all over the place, even in a mission all you have to do is call Lester or Merryweather to spawn one. Not to mention you can buy one and spawn it anytime you want. Either you're full of shit or the people you watched have no clue what they are doing.

I call BS... they have already told us what players who transfer from last gen to next gen get and it wasn't a new garage. Also why are animals online in red with a question mark and a bullet point with no comment. Seems to me some hacker got in posted this BS and R* nuked the fake post.

Ya I jumped ship a long time ago because nobody from Blues plays the game, but thanks for the promotion. I haven't quit the crew but my primary crew isn't Blues anymore. I hooked up with a larger, active, adult only, invite only crew that has a lot of people playing. We do tons of stuff like our own events, time trails and other stuff. I do my own 'biker' event where we all dress up the part and ride our hogs on LS wrecking havoc. The game has grown quite a lot since we all played back in October... and ya I play the hell out of it. I get in the odd other game here and there but always go back to GTA, love playing in the sandbox.

As I say in my sig, if anyone here wants to get back into the game and you don't want to play in the pubs give me a shout.

I would have thought they had more then enough cash to develop this game, and yet they seem to be using said cash to develop more ways to siphon even more money. As much as I like the vision of the final product, I'm glad I didn't get sucked in.

Star Citizen is a hole in the internet into which you pour money.

Starting to look like I'm going to have to buy a PS4 soon. Multiplayer getting bumped up to 30 people, nice... of course if R* can't get their shit together vis a vis hackers it won't matter. I want more information, don't really care about upgraded visuals. I want to know what upgrades there will be for online... will online get more traffic? wildlife? are we gonna get burger shot, clucking bell back? pool? bowling? Driving range? New cars are nice but I have no room to buy the cars I want right now. Details details details, give me some more damn details!

Cooking from scratch can actually get stupid expensive. I've made relatively simple dishes that easily end up with a food cost rivaling the price of a meal at a restaurant. I use a simple salsa recipe (roma tomato, green onion, garlic, salt, lime juice, cilantro, hot sauce) that costs significantly more than simply buying a jar of Pace.

Or insanely cheap... if you don't count the labor I made a ton of spaghetti sauce last week for less then five bucks, that's how much the seeds cost. Got another 40+ pounds of tomatoes ready to go today.

ItBurn wrote on Sep 7, 2014, 15:06:
I agree, it's not a sport. Just another competitive activity, BUT.

It's more of a sport than poker though... Take car racing, another activity where there's a debate about it being a sport or not. It demands high reflexes and a lot of physical prowess to win a race, but you're basically doing nothing, sitting in a chair and letting the car do the work. Poker on the other hand requires no physical skill, just your brain. (you could argue that the poker face is physical...). Gaming is like racing. It requires high reflexes, tight coordination and dexterity.

So basically, if you think racing is a sport, gaming should also be a sport.

Car racing is most definitely a sport. It requires physical exertion and skill and that is the definition of a sport. There's no way an unfit person could endure the physical requirements of a typical race, be it Oval, Indy\F1 or Rally. Video games on the other hand require no physical exertion and therefore is not a sport.

For those of you who live in the USA, a warning. You may wish to take care in how you interact with people while gaming online.

Deadwood getting cancelled still pisses me off, even more then Firefly. Swore I'd never watch another TV show with a continuous story line until it was finished, and with the exception of The Walking Dead I've stuck to my guns... then I started watching Hell on Wheels. It's another western done with the same realism as Deadwood. Not as good as Deadwood to be sure (subject matter maybe?) but I'm really enjoying it... fuckers better finish the damn story line.

Really getting tired of all this myopic pseudo journalism that's the trend these days. These people care only about advancing their own self interests, period... can you imagine how a girl getting burned alive for trying to get an education or another women getting stoned to death for daring to express themselves would think of this claptrap.

It was once said mass media (TV) was going to make people stupid. Seems they grossly underestimated the damage because it seems to be turning people into complete imbeciles.

Anyway I'm a 'gamer' and I'm going to play me some GTA. I'm not going to kill any virtual hookers or threaten or hit on any women players I happen to come across in that fictional world. I will enjoy the sight of any attractive virtual babes I happen to see... because I'm a fucking hetero male and consequently like the female form, go figure.

Also, Discovery is going the way of TLC. TLC used to be called "The Learning Channel" but they changed it to just TLC and changed all their programming to shit Reality TV.

Yup, it's been quite sad to watch what were once good intelligent TV networks spiral down the shitter. History, Discovery and even NGC are all pure mental shit now. Dunno if you get it south of the border but a new channel has emerged out of the cesspool, Oasis. The name is quite appropriate considering where everything else has gone.

I got the last Tomb Raider for free on the PS3. I've tried a few times to play it and can't get into it. So kudos to Microsoft for shelling out for an exclusive I could care less about. Odd though that that happened after Sony paid them to make the last one a PS+ freebie.

And yeah, I think I'll take a little drive out to the country tonight to check out the moon!

Why? You get away from city lights to see faint objects not bright objects. You could stand in the middle of the Las Vegas strip to look at the super moon.

Xbox exec 'defies you to see resolution and framerate differences on sub-60 inch screens

WTF does screen size have anything to do with frame rates. A Microsoft exec who knows nothing about the industry he's in charge of, why I'm I not surprised.

You go passive on the rides. Got a full crew lobby and we all got on the coaster... It kinda glitched and when two people got in the same car they sat in the same seat. Still was fun. New monster truck is a blast as are the fireworks. New unannounced missions and lester now puts out hits on the AI online.

Yeah, dodging tanks is quite hard if you can't even outrun them

Bicycles go where other vehicles cannot follow Also if what I heard is true tanks now go down with only three RPG hits... time to go hunting
