A game doesn't depend on it like it does on graphics and sound.

*cough* HL2 *cough*. If you dont agree, well fuck you because the graphics in HL2 weren't exactly D3/FEAR standard. Infact they still aren't. Damn that seems as if im angry. I'm not, but i stand by my point.

I have to say though that they do have some bit name games on that list already. GR:AW, RoN:RoL and UT2007. Wow. I'm just suprised they didn't do a deal with say Asus/Abit/MSI/some other motherboard manufacturer to put the chips straight on there. It'll save space and just be easier for the consumer.

I played it fr about 10 or so minutes at my local GAME store in town. Granted it was the 360 version, but boy was it good. I hadn't gotten out of the dungeon, but i'd just re-met the emperor dude.

I love the combat in it, It feels so much more natural than before. Ah i just want to play it properly now!!

I got Oblivion on pre-order, i should get it on Thursday (i'm going to be a hermit then), but one thing im wondering about is character creation.

What's it like? How many races are there? What aspects of the race can you fiddle with (height, build, sex etc)? What about classes? Is it the same as in Morrowind where you can create a custom class with what skills you personally like?

Also, remember in Morrowind where certain character races were more accepted than others, has that affected you in any way so far when playing?

Oh and what about horses. Do you need a special skill to ride them, or is it like an instant know-how?

Edit: Anyone who's in the UK use GAME to pre-order your games. Every game i've pre-ordered through them has arrived the day before release, and in the most extreme case i got FEAR on a friday when the release date was the following Tuesday. They're good, and relatively cheap.

How the hell can they release another BF game when the previous one has only just come out (within a year).

Ah i forgot. They want to make the BF franchise into a Madden or Fifa. Next year we'll see BF2242. Now wouldnt that be fun?

Thats the problem. I reckon what will happen is Medieval 2 will be released and hailed as a fantastic game by everyone but the hardcore gamers that remember the original Medieval. At which point the community will use the SDK to mod the game into what it should have been.

In fact that's what happened with Rome:TW. It came out, but the AI sucked, there weren't enough provinces and the amount of units, although quite a few, wasn't enough. At which point the Rome: Total Realism Mod came out and made Rome what it should have been.

I really really hope that they literally just port over Medieval into a better engine. That would be brilliant. Enough provinces, good range of units, AI given a tweak to be decent, and the ability to command personally more than 2000 troops.

I hated not having the ability to command 5000 troops in a massive engagement in Rome.

I guess it must just be the US then. I know in the UK there's been stock of 360's for at least 2 weeks now.

Medieval 2 will feature a similar number of provinces to Rome.

Argh. Thats crap. The one thing i didnt like about Rome was the lack of provinces. They were too few and too large. Ok it is understandable in that era due to the fact there were no real nation states within central/northern europe, however during the medieval period is just as the nation state is beginning to arise.

There needs to be the same/more provinces than Medieval. If not, for me, it'll seem as if there's nothing really there.

Sorry this game is one of the games i was going to buy when i get an Xbox 360. The features the game has just blow my mind away. The ability to buy ingame apartments for your driver and to drive over 1000 miles of Hawaiian roads? Damn that sounds great. Not to mention that it has a hell of a lot of cars to drive around.

This is one i will be buying. Probably for the 360 (when i get one) but i'll still be getting it.

Right here's something right out of the blue. I got myself quite a hi-end hi-fi system plugged into my computer and i was thinking of getting some soundcard. Is it worth it?

I was looking at the Sound Blaster X-FI Elite Pro with X-FI Console. Now i know it's expensive, but the reviews are good. I was just wondering if it'll have a huge impact on the sound quality coming out from my PC. The pain in the arse is that i can't test one out like i can when looking at amplifiers/speakers etc.

If i shouldn't go for the X-FI Elite Pro card, what should i go for instead.

I think you guys just need a hug. Like Mystikal. He needs a hug, and so do all of you.

Are there many people playing X3 still though? I know i bought it then within a week i was bored of it. Mainly due to the bugs and the choppiness and all that jazz. Do the patches actually make the game what it's supposed to be? Or are there still a lot of bugs within the game?

Don't forget the release of Halo 3 to really cut into PS3 sales...

I am suprised though that the PS3 will have a worldwide release though. Not a typical Sony strategy.

I've yet to see a single ingame bit of footage from a PS3 game, so i'm still leaning towards an xbox 360. Plus i just so much prefer the xbox controller. So much nicer to play with.

I remember making a serious level for this once. It was a convoy that needed to be destroyed by german he-111's and Stukkas. Man 6 bombers, 6 stukkas, against 4 ships? hell you'd be lucky if you managed to get away....damn it was good fun that.

Anyone noticed the date of the "Fight Night Round 3 Cover..." article? It was posted on December 12th. I think it might be slightly out of date

Wasn't Operation Flashpoint a FPS/RTS game? I could swear it is....as such does this mean that this will be a spiritual successor of Operation Flashpoint?

Thank god one place has the balls to review R6: Lockdown right.

Oh and it's great to see Gal Civ 2 doing really well in the reviews. It is a great game, i've yet to actually finish a map (granted it's on gigantic setting), and i love the reasearch tree/build-your-own-ship ability. Wonderful

The one thing that i loved about Gothic 2 when i played it, was the ability to actually have a job. Ok it sounds pretty poor, but hell having the ability to create your own swords, or go hunting to skin some animals and get some gold was a great little bit of interactivity that i just didn't see in any other rpg at the time.

I am definately looking forward to this game.

But sitting back having all my arguments proven right due to ya'lls [bntollerance[/b] is even more fun for me.

Heh.

On other things, i've always found these "award" shows to be partyl if not completely bullshit. I'm glad that Crash did win best film, as that was a fantastic film. But what about other films that came out that were brilliant? Man On Fire i found to be on a par with Crash, and what about Jarhead? That was basically an updated version of Full Metal Jacket true, but it was a damn good film none the less.

I never have and never will take these award ceremonies seriously purely because the people who decide what are good films and what aren't are usually critics with a fist jammed up their arse.

Oh and i think i'm one of the few people who's watched Hercules in New York all the way through, and actually liked it because of the comic genius.

Is your refrigerator running? Cause if it is it probably runs like you, very homosexually.

Ah i'm gonna have to use that later tonight on a mate. Damn that made me laugh so much when i read it. I got a lot of jokes similar, like... the difference between Neil Armstrong and Michael Jackson? Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon, Michael Jackson fucks kids.

Classic no-nonesense punch line that doesnt require intelligence to laugh at. Or maybe it does because people just dont seem to get it? Fantastical.

I reckon they puposely ruined the Rainbow 6 series because they can't be bothered with it, just so they could implement the features into GR.

It'd make sense. And tbh most console players who buy R6 do so because of the PC following, and most people who buy the GR franchise are consolites, and as such they want to swap it around.

Well maybe, but then again i could just be spouting shit again Dammit i swear Iskaral Pust rubs off some of that blathering style onto you even if you read a fraction of his speaches.

My dad sent me that water bottle jetpack thing a couple of months ago, and it's nice to see it's finally being seen by more people.

But i just have one thing to say. Mythbusters is not the definative program as to whether a myth is true or not. In fact, although they try to recreate the myth as well as possible, they hardly do. Just because Mythbusters failed to recreate the water jetpack does not mean that it's faked. Dammit the reason they couldn't recreate it was because they were using 2L bottles instead of the (im guessing) 5L ones that he used.

Argh but anyway, im not going to rant today. I'm tired and have a headache, plus im halyway through The Bonehunters by Steven Erikson and that book is by far a more productive use of my time than ranting on here.

Oh and for those who care, The Bonehunters is cream-your-pants good so far. Damn i love Gesler, Stormy, Fiddler and Karsa. Ah Karsa. If you were real i'd let you rape me
