Is it me, or has this Friend or Foe game been getting little coverage. My son LOVES the Spiderman games, but after the kick in the nuts that was Spiderman 3 I'm going to wait for a ton of reviews before considering a purchase .... I still can't believe I put down $60 for that POS Spiderman 3.

My PC is too old to be running this new shit, which is why I'm hoping a demo comes to XBL, then again, see below comment ....
I got mine in the first batch and i have been playing the beta since then and it is a ton of fun. I can not wait for this game to come out. They just updated the beta a few days ago added clan tags and new weapons and weapon upgrades. This game is already rock solid they should just release it already. Got my invite a few days ago when on vacation, came home, plugged in the token, downloaded the beta, played two minutes until my 360 froze up with some fucked up graphics. Restarted the system to see the Red Rings of Death .... oh well, maybe the beta will still be available in early October.

I think Halo 3 has some similar feature as well where you can kill your enemy after you have been killed. I can honestly say that I don't understand people's obsession over Halo ... I have yet to see anything new it brings to the table.
COD4, on the other hand, looks to set the game up by allowing custom classes with these sweet abilities (chalk me up for the "last man standing" upgrade) ... oh yeah, this game is gonna rock.

Wow, they made GeOW for the PS3, I might have to check that out. I'm sure they've made modifications to the engine to allow the PS3 version of UT run at 60fps that they didn't have when they made Gears ... for the PS3, because it's the PS3 that they're talking about.

Great for the 10 people that actually own one! I don't know, I think that there's more than just 10 people with a PS3; in fact 119 user reviews on Amazon for Resisance would tell me there's more than 10.

Agreed about Halo, IMO games like R6:Vegas are the ones that people should be calling innovative (with it's cover system).
Also, I gotta agree about UT3; aside from Warhawk this is the one game I'm looking forward to from now until the end of the year (go mouse/keyboard!!).

Silicon Knights boss Denis Dyack has said a demo for 360 exclusive Too Human is in the works and should emerge at some point before the game's release in 2008. Soooooooo, the game could come out in November of '08, and the demo COULD hit in August or September of '08. Given the track record for this game, I'm not expecting it to hit all too "soon" since there's quite a bit of varience in "soon" (Bioshock demo soon versus Duke Nukem 4 ever soon).

Tribes:V beta had more people playing it. Tribes:V was on my purchase list until they made a harsh change to the beta which affected the way jumping / jetting worked, after that I never played it again.
This game is one of the few I considered upgrading my PC for, but now I'm not sure about that.

You know, for some reason I really can't get into Metroid after playing the original Prime. Don't get me wrong, Prime was a good game, but I think constantly going back and forth fighting pirates that are only susceptible to certain attacks (use blue beam against this guy, use red beam against this guy, etc) I got burned out. Hopefully this game is better, but from the vids I've seen it looks like they've taken the original and just moved you to a new location.

You didn't answer the question, from a consumer perspective, why is this a bad deal? Actually it's not, from what I'm reading it's nothing more than a rebate for $150, not to mention that this card will most likely give "Sony Points" which can be used towards Sony products.
If you're like me, you put everything on the CC for the month then pay it off when the bill comes, that way I get the points, build credit, yet still can control my spending.

I would venture to guess that they'll change the name before it goes public. They'll probably call it "VIDEO-gamer card" or "gamer achievement card" or "kinda like the XBox 360 gamer card"
As for those who got Bioshock early ... I hope you burn in a fiery hell for all eternity after getting herpes.

I was watching the gameplay video on my PS3 last night for MGS4, and though it looks good, it really looks like they've borrowed quite a few elements from Splinter Cell. I kept watching it saying "Sam Fisher can already do that". I don't know, I really enjoy the stories the series have told, but the series doesn't seem to have the "amazing" feeling that the original MGS had.

Walmart buys 360s for X dollars. When the price cut goes into effect (they are listed right now for the original price) will they drop theirs tomorrow? You should see the price drop at the majors tomorrow. This is no different than when the PS3 dropped, Best Buy and Circuit City had their price changed within hours (and this price drop has more advanced warnings). I would say if you don't want to wait for 65nm, tomorrow will be a good day for you!

Did you try the demo? I didn't care for it... I agree, I tried the demo and thought it was just mediocre.
As for the 360 exclusives, appearantly there's quite a few that I forgot about (including Mass Effect which I have already pre-purchased). I agree that Sony doesn't have as strong of a line-up, but I'm hoping that at this time next year we'll see a comparable list to what the 360 has right now.
Either way I could care less, I have my 360, Wii, and PS3 but it would be nice if all of them had a solid line-up that I could look forward to.

I know the PS3 doesn't have a whole slew of exclusives, but I can't put my finger on how many big games are coming for the 360 that are exclusives as well. I know they have the big hitters (BioShock and Halo 3), but aside from that I think alot of the majors this year will be on both.
Don't get me wrong, I have a shit-ton more games on my 360 than I do for my PS3 and given the option I almost would say I'd get the 360 version of cross platforms because I like that controller better.
What I am saying though is that Sony was (and still is slightly) struggling in the first year, but it's good to see that they are starting to get some exclusive content that doesn't suck <cough>MotorStorm<cough>.

The new PS3 libs went out to devs a few days ago Wow, Sony is now hiring liberals to go and fix their issues ... just kidding.
That would help explain it, it's possible that Rockstar wants to incorporate features of the new libraries (and Home) into the game. I'm not sure why they just didn't release the XBox version then have the PS3 version come out 6 months later (ala R6:Vegas or GRAW2), but it's most likely based around wanting to have a single release date.
No problem for me, I may get the LE/CE now that I have more time.
