For comparisons sake, I opened IE, which would likely be the only officially supported browser. About 25MB of RAM there, sitting on a blank page.
Any particular reason why you didn't mention the amount of RAM used when IE is minimized like you did with steam?

Crap, my system isn't good enough apparently.
That site is bugged. I have yet to select a hardware configuration that is accepted (it doesn't like firefox).

In game ads, meh. Should be blockable and I'm sure I'll see someone post solutions before the release is out. If not, it could be as easy as netstat -a to see the ad server IP and a hosts file modification. Anyone who didn't want to run steam won't find such easy solutions.
And speaking of steam, I find having to run a second program that uses my computer's resources and controls when I can run my game a much bigger problem than some billboard or image on a wall. And please, the tracking abilities in steam pale in comparison to this, down to how long you play a single player game! I bet alot of these people screaming the loudest are the same ones running steam right now. You've already given devs everywhere all acceptance they need to pull all kinds of things like this.

I was also surprised there aren't many complaints from subscribers about 'new subscribers only' to start this off. I guess they're the type that don't mind, after all, they're already paying for demos and betas. Wait for the next stage in their never ending quest to make more money, where they put the first 100 beta slots up for auction.

future Bungie games will be developed for remains in the hands of Bungie Studios, in the hands of the teams developing them
I wonder what happened to the hands of the Myth dev team. Maybe their hands were blown to bits by a dwarf satchel charge.

There's no real downside to enviormentalism.
That is not really true at all. You who are so anti religion should recognize that most environmentalism is nothing but a religion.
Yep, it's just a money grab by many of the same people who probably pointed at religion calling it a money grab. Power corrupts, no matter which side you're on.
True environmentalism, where people are actually spending most if not all the money on real science and real improvement of the environment instead of themselves or propraganda meant to incite hysteria, isn't that common IMO.

You have to be somewhat of an idiot to claim that the game was in development for 10 years because it sat in development hell. Again, look at how many Hollywood movies sit in development hell for decades before finally getting made. Does that mean they were in development that long? Of course not.
Yeah, only an idiot would spend a decade DevelopiNg a game. I dare you to Find such a situation! I mean, who would possibly do such the thing? LOL.
Look, ridiculous press releases full of nothing or tiny screen shots are going to get met with joke posts. That's all they deserve. What else can people really discuss when given these tiny scraps of information about a game that won't be released for years anyways?

this game passed its cycle of anyone being interested in it over a year ago
Team Fortress 2 is now THE main game on said radar.
The time limit has passed on Quake Wars? Yet, Team Fortress 2, a game that was first annouced in 1999, is now the main game on your radar? That makes no sense.

Splitting out products that should have been part of the initial release to begin with is a plus for Valve? I guess that's why Valve tried to go episodic, they saw acceptance for this practice.
The only difference I see is Valve is hiring mod teams and selling the content off as their own. Epic could have done the same with XMP, which I personally preferred over the MP games Valve has offered. Of course, if Epic followed Valve's lead, we probably would paid for XMP too.

NOW what happens to VG is SOE's responsibility... not what happened during launch. Yep, but NOW it's too little too late for SOE to do anything to save this thing. Stick a fork in it, it's done.
2 US PVE servers.. lol.

Not many people playing that game at all. Contrast that with the 223 servers listed on the WoW realm status page and it's obvious any "WoW killer" comments should now be changed to "Killed by WoW".
They probably killed themselves, but still, show any weakness in MMORPG market and the competition will have you for lunch.

Yup, fanboy or not, I don't see how anyone could spin this in a positive way. Even SWG didn't fold this quick.
Two US PVE servers?!? What is the capacity per server?
