Probably would take only 10 mins for valve to whip up a customer hat and give it to everyone who had the game prior to today. Or maybe a $10 credit at the TF2 store, that would encourage people to spend more there. You get a hat called "The Proof of Purchase" that all classes can wear.
From a lot of the comments I'm reading, it really sounds like a lot of people talking shit about the game don't even play it. Anyhow, I've played it off and on quite a bit since it was released and have casually gotten every weapon in the game multiple times. None of the weapons/items are necessary to be good at the game. People saying "best stats win" are full of crap. All of the default weapons are very good. Switching over to any customer weapons requires that you lose some benefit that the default weapons provide. You can use whatever you want at anytime and still be a great asset to the team (minus the engineer using mini-sentries while playing defense).
The game is fun because there's no best-in-slot bs that you have to mess with. You use whichever items you enjoy the most. Maybe if you play in a league then it does make a slight difference, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the pugging that most players are going to be participating in. |

| The soundtrack was the best thing about Oblivion. I've been a huge Elder Scrolls fan since Arena (still even have the box for it and everything that came with it), but Oblivion kind of killed itself because of the way things leveled with you. It never really felt like progression. |

| It's kind of dumb to associate the sales of the years old DS/DSi with the sales of the iPad. The people that are buying iPads obviously have the spare cash to purchase such things, and if they ever wanted a DS/DSi, they would already have one. Nintendo just needs to step up their hardware game or they're going to end up like Sega. |

Don't try to hide behind the "I have to use adblock because of flash"-crap, because it's bullshit. There are alternatives.
Don't like the site because of this? Don't use it! It's like all these ad-blocking morons think every site on the net ownes THEM something. WTF.
(yes, I run a site. yes, it is 100% dependant on ads. no, they are not intrusive. yes, it is usually better with an active user that blocks ads than not having that user. yes, it fucking BLOWS that > 50% use adblock. yes, I still think he's a dip-shit for blocking the ads.) Getting an adblocker is convenient. It's silly to expect people to decide they want to block certain ads but allow others, and then find some software that will do that. It's just too convenient to grab Firefox and Adblock Plus. If that's a problem, then maybe you shouldn't be running a website. |

| I really hope I'm not the only one that doesn't care at all about gaming on my iphone. Touch screen "pads" just weren't meant to be. |

I think it is Blizzards responsibility to provide exciting and fresh content for all of their players. I think I should have a Mercedes, but that doesn't mean it's the best use of my money. No matter what they come out with, people will still finish it quickly, and it's a far better investment for them to be finishing Cataclysm sooner, as it will last all players longer than a single raid.
Would it be so hard for Blizzard to devote a special team to focus for content for hardcore gamers? That's what the entire raid design team is.
Seriously are you employed by blizzard or are you just a kiss ass fanboi, my money's on the 2nd.
Blizzard is PAYED a monthly fee by its customers you fucking tool bag. Now we all know that Cataclysm wont be released until next Holiday season and if you think its gonna hit this summer dream fucking on, this is Bliztard were talking about.
So..in that light lets take a look at what its player base will be doing for the next 9 months.. They'd better have something up their sleeves for summer boredom or they are going to see alot of subs being canceled until Cataclysm.
Thats fact. You probably are not in the majority with your opinion. There are countless more casual players than hardcore players. |
