nin: Yea I'm slightly confused by the graphical power of the Wii. Nintendo keeps saying its very powerful graphically, but then says its less than twice as powerful as the GameCube. So its hard to decide what that means. I can assume though that means its more powerful than the original XBox which technically is powerful enough to run FarCry. FarCry had good graphics but wasn't overly demanding hardware wise.

Considering it does come with the console and wiimote plus nunchuck at a value of $20 WiiSports at a value of $30 (given its a forced purchase)
Consider this, the PSP premiered at close to that price.

Wonder if they'll get with the program and support WPA (and WPA2) this time around.
Anyone know of any WPA2/Radius wireless routers that supports the ability to manually add MAC locked WEP on private network.
That would be yummy, cause I'm tired of all the "devices" that don't properly support WPA2 nor could they ever (my network demands a RSA certificate, something I would never expect a embedded device to support)
I guess I could run two networks..

Youtube for games? |

When did youtube only run on the xbox?
Geez people. Ok MS is putting out a product to make live arcade games easier to produce. But trying to compare themselves to youtube just smacks of name dropping.

Any interviewer who cites tea-bagging as in major problem in a video game gets my vote!
Scott Sharkey for President!
/For those who didn't RTFA he was talking about players squating when hes flat on his back waiting for a medic.

The proposed RTS and Sim-city game modes are going to have to be simplified and easy so they can be grokked by the mass market - so how's that going to grab anyone's attention here?
Yea I'm kinda worried about that too. Will is left with an increadably difficult choice, make the game hard enough to please the RTS fans, but then alienate the crowd that bought "The Sims" in the first place. Or make it easy to please "The Sims" players.
Looks like they might be taking the time to solve this issue, best bet is they are going to make it more GTA freestyle like. This comment was edited on Aug 10, 09:45. |

because every winning hand funnels money directly into the hands of al Qaeda terrorists!
They could make offshore illigal while keeping onshore legal. Currently US buisnesses like PlayBoy are running poker sites that are available only offshore, while offshore poker sites are still running because people will always be able to find some way to funnel money offshore.

Ok your not still running this server are you? When an array goes down any errors on the remaining drives will be fatal. Hot Swap IMMEDIENTLY. If you don't have the drive to swap out available turn off the machine untill you do. You simply can't afford the risk of another drive failing while you try to figure out what to do. (Learned this lesson the hard way myself, drives you purchase at the same time will frequently fail within weeks or days of eachother)

venomhed: But see what it ultimatly boils down to the lawyers is they released a game with one ESRB rating and it ended up having to be changed. I blame the ESRB more than anything for that fact (ESRB thinking this very mild sex scene should have changed the rating is laughable). But past that its a simple money grab to sue Take Two because of this fact. The people suing don't give a damn about sex in a video game, they care about the money they can win.. That is all.

Hate to say it but this HAS worked in the past for Israel. At least as far as getting neighboring countries to stop allowing terrorist to set up camp. See Egypt for example. Of course this won't work against Palestine as the government supports these attacks, but it may work against Lebanon.

Yeah, because shooting an M16 in a video game is EXACTLY like shooting the real thing? Please!
Obviously, but there is something to be said for the person who takes the time out to aim properly instead of running and hoping you hit someone. These games can't teach you how to shoot, but they can teach tactics, patience, and the need for practice.

I also know from experience that forcing the video card to resolutions your monitor can not support typically just result in black screen and the monitor shuts off, but no damage is caused.
This is probably the reason you havn't heard many reports of ruined monitors. id most likly realizes that there is a small chance that a few monitors will get ruined though and doesn't want the liability.

Just another viewpoint.. A lot of the heaven and hell stuff is really lost in translation from the ancient writings to modern english.. But if one really studies the ancient text its pretty obvious that hell is more of a state of mind and not an actual place (note my father has done a lot of translation work, I just know what he has shown me so don't quiz me please). Take this for example. The burning bush, God is fire, and he tells (I believe its Abraham) to not look upon the bush as it will kill him. Frequently God refers to his mear presence as an all consuming fire. God is also references himself as a cleaning fire for gold and diamonds
and whatnot. So consider a person whos totally consumed with theirselves in the presence of God who destroys that flesh (flesh being the human part of you). Such will be painful and ultimatly destroy all that is you. While for someone who is of the opposite mindset, such would be a cleasing experience. God also makes mention of a special place put aside for really special people, but this doesn't nessesarily void the idea that heaven and hell are the same, then I guess there is heaven plus for the really good guys Apparently though the dead sea scrolls do make some direct mentions of hell but are generally thought to have been made after the classic Hebrew Old Testament and arn't nessesarily within the believe realm of the Jews and the Christians that followed..
