Seems there still is trading, wonder if the economy reacts the same way as in PR2 where you could potentially buy out commodities and manipulate prices throughout the game world (if u had the gold) |

imo MMOs need to go the route of one world server about now, no more 100 people on server x and you're stuck with 10 people on yours.
Ofc then you'd get ping issues etc. So that's where they need to develop more tech to handle that in some way |

Down here in Australia the minimum wage is $20 per hour. I've heard from some Americans that minimum wage there is around $7 even.
Doing a quick Google search revealed this to be true. |

CCP has already hinted that Dust may come to PC.
besides that, exclusive games are usually on consoles only, they can usually make their way onto PCs without any issues, Gears of Wars, Halo and such
Dust is an experiment, it has to be a great shooter to at the least hold its ground against COD and Battlefield and the EVE mechanic can match it for other online stuff

If you get good at making money in game you can easily pay 350mil ISK to purchase a plex.
A dude in my corp spends 5 days mining to pay for his month then goes and does whatever he wants to rest of the month.
Tho you'll need a hulk and orca to do how he does it like a billion in equipment alone :p |

plex is an in-game item that you can buy if you choose to get rich quick without going and buying isk from illegal websites.
Plex is also used to renew your subscription but it can be expensive or cheap depending on how you look at it.
End of the day you don't really have to invest more than $14 for a month's subscription.
As far as the other thing you mentioned, EVE is not for everyone, EVE is hard, if you don't want to play MMOs that's fine, if you don't like EVE cause its "tough" maybe you should try out WOW instead. |

IMO the main reason why Origin is getting a bad rep from everyone is the exclusivity deal they announced yesterday.
Most people who are on their preferred digital distributor like steam would like all or most of their games on steam.
Since Origin is trying to get more people to use their service they announced that most new games will be exclusive to Origin for a certain time period.
Most people don't like that, like me I would like to get Mass Effect 3 or the next Dragon Age on Steam and play them on day 1.
This forces me to either wait for the game to come out on steam after a week or month or get it from Origin.
This is primarily the reason why people are already hating Origin.
I would have liked to get my games off steam, but I'll wait or get it off other sources and play till they release it on steam. |

He just resigned from his position as CEO and President of Publishing, he's still with the company probably getting paid shit loads and all kinds of allowances.
Suits are overpaid agree with that 100%
If they actually did something and not fuck people over it would be worth the extra $ they get paid, but in the gaming industry they have to look at every developer, programmer and artist as more than a number because their experience and willingness to work will make or break a company not like P&G where R&D designs something or they buy an idea and the process workers take over, you can get anyone to work in a factory but not as a game dev of any kind.
Most of them bring their experiences in management from other industries which can mean didly squat if they cannot "think outside the box" and adapt. I'm pretty sure Blizzard doesn't think of anyone working for them as a number. |

you wasted a good 10 minutes of my life with that game....
10 years ago in march I was an irc addict, browsing napster playing thief unreal tournament vampires redemption and diablo 2.
i had a girlfriend named sabrina who i was crazy about and this is all when I was turning 17
edit: diablo 2 and vampires didn't come out till 2001 I think...not sure |
