was, was a bunch of people walking, three movies of people walking to a
fucking volcano. Even the fucking trees in those movies walked!"

Oh my my, oh Hell yes. Honey put on that party dress.

"Last Dance with Mary Jane" always reminded me of American McGee's Alice for some reason.

From the two (very small) Youtube videos that are in the "Media" section of the website, it appears that the game's design theme is scale, scale and more scale.

Which is rather disappointing. In a way, it reminds me of a line from the Borderlands behind-the-scenes videos where Claptrap says "You may have heard that we have like a million bajiliion guns..."

The one thing that GalCiv2, SoSE and SotS got right, and I think they actually got it from the Homeworld franchise, was that I could have multiple fleets but they were all damn important, representing a significant cost of investment in time and resources not to mention the secondary investments of technology and the time and resources that went in to researching them. That made me care about their placements, their dispositions and made me critically think about their best use.

Giving me a million bajillion ships spanning thousands of solar systems tells me that I am eventually going to end up playing Excel as the Galactic Bean Counter and Logistics Officer.

Also, after reading the interview, I was left very much with the impression that this was intended to be title that was be everything to everyone. We know how poorly those titles have turned out in the past. No part excels and the whole is, at best, frustratingly average.

I wish you the best of luck, however. Also, eRe4s3r, if anything this will give you valuable real world experience to put in a portfolio and on a resume.

Sucker. Though not nearly as much of a sucker as I am. I bought it at full price and still can't play it. Why? Because I have multiple monitors and THQ's support tells me the only way for me to get the game to launch successfully is to remove all but one from the video card.

Ironically, Guild Wars seems to run worse now than it did before.

I dual boot between Ubuntu 10.04 and Win7 but I don't always want to have to reboot to play a simple game like Guild Wars.

creston, every single one of your posts has some foul mouthed junk in it or some perverted junk and in many it has both. Do you *ever* have a clean pure thought in your head? I cant even imagine what your thouht life must be like if you cant even control what spews out of you on a game site.

Seriously.. do some self evaluation.

I had the pure thought of introducing your mother's colon to my one eyed monster.

It was pure bliss as I imagined the screaming, the weeping and the begging.

Rule of 5?

It's usually the Rule of 3. It's a simple game design formula. Kill X amount of enemies Y amount of times.

In STO's case, it was always 3 groups of 3 ships in space, go to planet and kill, usually, 5 groups of 5 guys. Then, you'll go back to space and kill 3 more groups of 3 ships.

You could see it in almost every single mission.

No. It's still generic, it's still the Rule of 5 and it's still boring.

Or import them in to the game so there is more visual diversity.

Even their web-based "training" is pretty impressive. I understand what you're saying about the weapon's behavior.

What it does is accurately vibrate and climb in regards to how you visually process the your aim and the position of the barrel.

Though I've no room to truly speak. I've toasted the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution already.

I believe, some time ago, someone worked on expanding HW2 up to 1900x1200. It was out for a while but I don't think the original HW was ever worked on.
