I received this game as a gift and it's sitting on the shelf, after installing but never playing.
Why? Because it loads to a black screen due to my multiple monitor configuration. Their tech support's solution was to unplug all but one monitor and that would fix the problem.
No thanks. Sorry you suck at figuring out the primary display when so many other games, even some quite old, don't have this problem. |

These guys apparently just graduated from the Stardock School of Business, which I wholeheartedly agree with.
Here's what I got from the pamphlet I received in the mail:
1. Don't be a dick to your target demographic.
2. Make fun, engaging games that may, or may not, push the graphics envelope.
3. Treat your customers like customers, not potential criminals.
4. Try to resolve your customers' issue as quickly as possible and be interested in doing so!
5. Reward your loyal customers. |

The quoted text is blatant plagiarism, or theft, of another's work. If someone is the perpetrator of plagiarism, or theft, how are they then not a thief? Did they not commit the act?
Further, how is presenting someone else's work as your own not lying? |

Ok, now I will cut them slack. Especially with the upcoming standalone installer, patch and possible means of distributing the client outside of their wretched delivery system.
Though, I wonder if they are planning to implement a patch that allows for playing the game at resolutions higher than 1280*1024. |

I've got a lovely set of Tritton 720 5.1 surround headphones that sound beautiful with the Dolby encoding I get off of my on-board audio chipset. It's an IDT which, I think, is a derivative of the Realtek hardware.
Zero noise. Not ever. |

This boils down to "This is my pet project and, instead of releasing patches like everyone else does with self-installing executables, I'm going to continue to force you to use this buggy piece of shit because, hey, I have Mechwarrior 4 for free...and you don't."
How is version tracking a "much larger problem"? It isn't. For fuck's sake, you could do basic version tracking in Excel! |

On the subject of kids: Yeah, it's something that needs to be approached (if at all) very, very diplomatically. My wife and I have been married for 7 years and do not have children. It is far more emotionally difficult for my wife to explain why than it is for me. However, on the plus side, no birth control of any sort...ever. |

Rigs:
Frigates are a harassing force, not meant for stand up fights. Took me a while to figure that out. Once you start treating them as guerrilla warfare units, they become much more useful. Well, at least to me. |
