Gotta say, that image before playing the video is really fucking cool.

Contrawise, I think it looks like shit and absolutely nothing like Garret or the world in which he exists.

Or were you saying you liked the image after stripping away the ridiculous idea that it should be part of Thief?

I am very cautiously optimistic. There is a lot about this game that interests me but, so far, this is all just eye candy.

Also, the old trailer had him inside a building while a party was going on. Or was that the very first trailer and you guys are referring to a second trailer that I did not see?

The opposite of love isn't hate, it's apathy.

I disagree. Apathy is the antithesis of motivation.

Both love and hate have the same core value, an intense interest. Ergo, both are two sides of the same coin even if they are polar opposites.

Just for btallas (so he'll have something to read in the morning and evening), here's a list of games nin luvs:

Bioshock Infinite

That nifty new pirate game!

Sleepin Dogs!

The original Bioshock

Dragon Age

Kerbal

Borderlands 2

This Kickstarter

All these kickstarters

Rawk Band

DN3D

While I agree with you, nin, on most of these, I have to vehemently disagree on Sleeping Dogs.

I bought it on your recommendation back when it came out...and I hated it. I thought it was a horrible game. The main character was uninteresting and the story presentation was like watching a spastic epileptic try to scramble eggs; messy and ultimately pointless.

Now, granted, I know I am in the minority but...yeah.

I *heart* STARWARS MMO!

Hows that?

Not nearly convincing enough! You have to call everyone else haters who bash your beloved game, and then tell them to get bent!

Antihater paradox...If you hate the haters, do you actually...love them?

There is a very thin line between love and hate. Also, I genuinely believe you have to have some core of love for a thing you hate passionately. Otherwise, why would anyone expend that much energy and effort?

It's fucking Jack Emmeret and Cryptic. The very queens of "No depth gameplay".

Star Trek Online anyone?

He's trying to lick EA's ass so he can get Yet Another Alice Game made, after he nearly burnt bridges with them awhile back...

Is it me or did the second one REALLY suck ass? I remember enjoying the first Alice game tremendously but the second one just felt like a half-completed mess.

It's a shame because the lore was so very well done. I LOVED the Mass Effect codex.

I agree which is why the last bullet point pisses me off so much about how the games themselves handled that universe.

Still, a PnP RPG could rock in that universe.

A new universe:

  • Where you have one of two generic looking avatars to choose from

  • Where every building, npc and item is a microtransaction DLC

  • Where every moral choice is easily color coded for you

  • Where every 3 foot tall wall is a fully covering, impenetrable bulwark from enemy fire

  • Where, in a universe of infinite possibilities, there is only ever one possibility presented to you at any given time.

  • Yep, really looking forward to your next "experience" EAWare.

That's really cool of the Creative Assembly guys to do that for him and his family.

I wanted to like Endless Space but I felt...meh about it after a few hours of play. There's no hook for me, or as other have said, no soul that draws you in and charms you.

In fact, I find it very hard to give a damn about any particular race in the entire game. In the end, they all play the same.

I'm...looking forward to this. I really liked both games when I was a kid younger, primarily because they were hard in an intelligent way.

Shy Gypsy Slyly Shyly Tryst By My Crypt.

I remember that solution to this day.

There was no Deus Ex Invisible War. I have heard blasphemy but there is no proof.
