If that's true, then I'm definitely sticking w/ BF1942, despite the graphical glitching that occurs at times.
C'mon people - that game (BF1942) was -NOT- that hard... (bots were kinda dumb, though...)

Saw Groundhog Day a looong time ago. I thought it was pretty good back then. Not sure what I would think upon another viewing these days. Or rather, "would it stand the test of time?"

as "iKonk". The cases look and sound neat though, from what I read.

One minor addition to that would be that "Super Bowl Saturday" doesn't quite roll off the tongue as nicely as "Super Bowl Sunday".  Not that I watch it as much for the sports as I do for the commercials.... *ducks*

I slipped and fell last night just taking a couple small garbage bags out to the trash can by the curb... didn't go anywhere after that!
(I'm back home now... navel's a bit leaky but otherwise everything down there seems fine.)

Taking it easy for the week. Snow tomorrow morning... ugh. No can lift for several weeks.. but otherwise am ambling around here and there until I get too exhausted/pained to do so.. which oddly enough, is infrequent even without Percocet or Advil... wondering how driving my Hyundai Elantra (stick-shift) will feel later on...

Band-aid? Finger? Hah! Try a polypropelene mesh sutured to the abdominal wall, covered by a huge gauze pad and lots of tape! (Hernia repair surgery yesterday afternoon, whee!)
Nah, seriously, though, hope you have a speedy recovery. Bleeding fingers + keyboards != fun!
EDIT: I could use me a robotic snow shovel come Wednesday, considering. Or I could just ask one of the neighbors to shovel the steps for $20...

I'd really like to visit NYC myself - one excuse I have to visit: my godparents' daughter and her bf are up there, so I could hang out with them for a weekend, at least.
Also... hung out with some old friends tonight after helping one of them paint a room in his house, after which we all sat in the living room taking turns playing Guitar Hero (Legends of Rock, I believe) and Halo 3 on Xbox360. I'm late in jumping on the bandwagon as usual, but I have made my decision between XBox360 and PS3, going for the XBox360, and preferably at some point picking up Rock Band (as that has some songs I really like) and probably some other games - GTAIV, etc.
Any recommendations for games in particular? This is not to say I'm going to pick up a system tomorrow, but I have been thinking about adding to/replacing the PS2 in my living room with something that 1. is internet-capable 2. is easily playable with friends in the living room, all at once.
Reasons against the other systems:
Wii - 1. while at a decent price, storage options are limited, 2. there are games on other systems that (I think) definitely aren't available that I'd like to play... 3. Wii motion on default controller is a bit laggy... (does Wii Motion Plus come with newer Wiis?)
PS3 - 1. Still way too expensive for my tastes. 2. While I hear it's a decent BR player, I don't see any reason currently to upgrade my library of movies. 3. Still not too happy about Sony's management decisions regarding their music CD releases in the past, and their attempts to shoehorn in proprietary standards (though MS can be accused of this, too...).
I think that about covers it...

Agreed wholeheartedly.
Yes, historic moment, new president and all... but what will be even more interesting is what he will -do- during his presidency.
I guess I just "got over" the fact that he's of a different color/background/etc very quickly (and am frankly sick of the whole rah-rah going on, myself). Actions, people, actions... not (just) words.

Several people have told me they are staying where they're drinking but you all know how that goes...
I originally had plans to get out to Worcester to see some friends there for New Year's. Now? Not so much.. so I'm going to probably go on over to the girls' next door and have a few beers with them and the other neighbors.
