>Dogs are carnivores

Behaviorly dogs are largely carnivorous. Biologically, however, they are omnivores. It has to do with the surface area of their gut. While cats are obligate carnivores whose digestive systems do not have the ability to gain nutrition from vegetable protein, a dog's gut, on the other hand, has enough surface are that they can get some nutritive value from simple vegetable proteins.

There is so much bullshit and propaganda in the spheres of human and animal nutrition, that it is hard to tell the floor from the wall.

Tribes multiplayer, eh...

I'm really looking forward to the single player game.

With a few of the ex-Looking Glass folks still at Irrational, I prefer to think of this as the long lost sequel to Terra Nova: Strikeforce Centauri, one of my favorite games of 1996.

Don't think so. We subscribed around the time the Series2 boxes came out.

They did say we had the option of paying for warranty replacement with the same level TiVO box or purchasing a new upgraded one. If we had chosen to purchase a new one, we would have had to pay for a new subscription.

It didn't seem like the technical support person was giving us any special treatment. Though, he was quite friendly and seemed relieved to be talking to someone rational and technically competent.

Since it was out of warranty, we did have to pay about $150 for the replacement unit; but, TiVO allows you to transfer the lifetime subscription to the replacement TiVO.

Unfortunately, they don't allow you to keep the broken one.

I feel your pain Blue.

The hard drive in our TiVO gave up the ghost last Saturday night. Told the technician what was wrong; but, he still made me put the phone on the TiVO to hear for himself.

Unfortunately, it was out of warranty, so we were forced to buy the replacement unit.
