I disagree on the commander assets. If they become a constant target of spec op attacks now than it will actually become fun to defend them for a squad or even just for a lone sniper.

How about not wasting other peoples time with senseless postings. Anyway..I'm looking forward to this. The first Vietcong was great for single and multiplayer.

Agree deeply with kimbambaman -- AT is too weak (by far), support is too weak (by a little bit), helicopters are too strong, and spec ops may be too strong (by a little bit). Balancing is needed... but I don't expect that to really happen for at least 6 months.
AT seems a little weak against choppers but in general it all depends which part of the vehicle you hit. Also two god AT guys in a squad working together can be devestating against any vehicle

Instead I've spent the past two weeks going back through Syndicate, which was well worth the $10 I paid for it 7 or 8 years ago.]
That is funny.... This game was good at its time but give me a break...

Completely different feel. The focus is definitely not on crashes but rather on the actual race. Also driving is mostly done in nature settings with no big cities

Yup. Great Game. Played it around christmas in germany. If you like arcade style racing with great (but over the top) physics this is a must-have. Make sure to play it with a steering wheel though

Very Choppy?? What do you define as "very choppy"?? Runs pretty smooth on my p3 2600 9700pro system? Everything above 30fps is fine in my book.

I think it does look very good considering that it is an X-Box port (or at least simultaneous development). Not sure about the engine, might be home-grown.

Walked through the maps briefly (no mp-servers running yet) and it looks good. A lot of foliage even though the jungle map appears to be very small. I guess I put this one on my buy list.

Or could it be...
1) You don't like it because of the crappy amateurish graphics combined with high system requirements 2) You don't like it because of the bad physics (even after all the patches) 3) You don't like it because of the third person perspective that allows you to look around corners and over walls 4) You don't like it because of the still substandard netcode 5) You don't like it because of the huge balancing problems with their zillon of vehicles 6) You don't like it because of their bug-ridden "commander mode" implementation ...

I beg everyone...wait for the demo!! I bought this game yesterday having high hopes for it and it seriously sucks. Yes, the AT-AT's are cool and some of the scenarios of the movies are depicted pretty well but for everyone playing BFV, Joint Ops or even COD this game is way too shallow. It definitely screams "console" at every corner.

"Sure, who wouldn't want to open a store at a dead market? Certainly not me! Oh, wait... Then again, I doubt PC gaming will "die". But it probably won't ever be as big as it used to (atleast if you compare it to the console market). Unless somehow gaming stop to be mainstream (wich won't happen either). Afterall, it's PC gaming (mostly) that keep progress going in video card (and partly in other technology) and nVidia/Ati sure don't want to be in a market that produce new videocard every four years"
I agree the PC market will play second fiddle to consoles for the forseable future but thats not so bad and yes, it will not die by any stretch of the imagination. Of course it is tragic that all that wasted talent that goes into developing the next Crash Bandicot title is lost for PC gaming but again I see more and more smaller more creative software companies filling that void.
