5 gig of gameplay? |

what twaddle. is the exe that controls gameplay 5 gig? nope, they mean 5 gig of FMV, textures and sound files. Gameplay comes from good game design and good coders. Not just bloated install sizes. |

errr... role playing?
i thought that was the original idea. They have just turned into tedious repetitive stat-munchers that have little atmosphere. pity. |

people should demand that ads are not put into the games they buy, but also, secondly we should demand that reviewers state EXPLICITLY that there are ads in a game when reviewing it. I certainly will not buy any games with adverts in. Its abd enough having to delete all the "runs best on intel" crapola before I run a game. |

| although i symnpathise with your point of view, just nicking something because you dont like the price isnt anything noble. your just being cheap. By all means email the publisher and tell them what you think, but dont stoop to getting a hacked copy. That just nothces up the torrent statsistics for people who argue for stronger DRM. |

*APPLAUDS LOUDLY*
How is a fantasy MMORPG with 'warring factions' the remote bit fcking imaginative or innovative? How about a napoleonic MMO? Jesus its not difficult, but I guess the artists enjoy modelling buxom elves. truly sad that people would invest money in such an overdone idea. |

crunch mode is bullshit. crunch is actually 'factored in' by producers. I've heard these reatrds actually say "X is paid for a 35 hour week, we will assign him 50 hours this week on that bit". Thats bullshit. these people are PAID to deliver a schedule that works. Often they are paid more than the artists coders and animators. They clearly cannot do their job. Its not just EA but the whole big name industry. There is no real need for crunch if you have proper scheduling and proper management. Sadly 90% of games companies have crap managers who couldnt run a bath. Theres nothing magical about games that means they must have a crunch period. I worked in the mainstream industry for 5 years. I love coding games, but Ill flip burgers at Burger King before I go back and make the idiots who own dev companies any richer. grrrrrrrr! |

all hail this post, made me fcking laugh. Whats sad is you know this hyped crap will get front page coverage on every mag when its released. I pity the good playable games that get released the same month. There again, when that happens we will all be living on mars in flying cars, so who gives a shit? |

lets not dignify this overhyped crap with further comment Honestly, I'm more excited about running that 'fish tycoon' demo on my desktop than I am about Duke Nukem forvapourware. I would be glued to the TV for a documentary on the whole farce though. Thats what they should release instead. "how we threw away 5 million dollars and did fck all with it" |

spent way more time downlaoding it than playing it. The staged zoom was irritating, and it doesnt seem to be anything radically different to sim city. that first window explaining what the different colroed squares meant was way too confusing, so I ended up playing galciv |

well with an RTS I'd like to see 'SOME' GUI. otherwise all you are looking at is a 3d engine, which is fine for an FPS, but do RTS gamers really care about the 3d engine? I prefer cossacks to AOE2 anyday, even though the graphcis are inferior, because of the gaemplay. RTS games are not about eye candy, or at least, not to this hardened RTS addict they arent ;( |
