fine, thats a business decision. I dont care what reviewers think, sometimes i disagree. I bought lego star wars 2 purely because i unexpectedly found the demo to be brilliant. If s company would rather not let people see how the game plays, thats up to them, I consider it a totally stupid deicision. It's like making a movie but refusing to make a trailer.
As someone who makes his living from indie games with demos, I know that a demo is all important. The retail developers don't realise this. fair enough, plenty of other stuff for me to spend my money on. How can it possibly be 'a distraction' from making the game. the whole point is to *sell* the game right?
No disrespect to the developers in this case, but this game isn't Half Life 3 or Spore. It's not an automatic buy. If they want people to get excited, lets see a demo. |

| eh? you think I should just get a pirated copy? errr.... as a game developer myself I dont think thats exactly good advice. If they dont release a demo, then no sale, its no excuse to go hunting for a pirated copy. |

ilove BF2, but the laod times are horrid, their tech support is useless, and 64 player maops are unusable because of the constant vocie spamming in everyones ears ALL THE TIME.
I dont care if you have spotted a sniper 10 miles away from me, STFU.
People have moaned about this since release date and its still not fixed, so fuck em, I wont be buying 2142. |

| well said, but for me, the in-game ads just push me over the edge to not even consider buying it. I never have, nor will, pay money for a agme with adverts in. |

well said. I strongly oppose in game ads, I was forced to code this bullshit when I worked at lionhead. My games have no ads, they never will, people play games to esacpe from the advertising obsessed bullshit of real life.
If you pay money for a game, wtf are they doing stuffing ads in it?
Vote with your wallet. Dont buy games with ads in. |
