I wanna go so bad. I've been to Quakecon 02,03 and 04 and this will be the first one I miss because I just moved out of texas. I'm gonna miss it so bad..quakecon is always a blast.
btw I liked gaylord much better than adam's mark , than again I didnt have to stay there because I lived right in dallas

the Plano store is minutes from my home but alas - I have to wait until we get it at my compusa store because I can get it for $39 and I'm not paying $55 just to get it half a day earlier...yeah I am cheap bastard

stores that sell stuff (dvds, games, etc) before official release can get fined big time
that's why I won't be able to buy Doom 3 in my compusa store before tuesday...
We still don't have it anyway, and since we dont receive anything on weekends, we better get it on Monday
btw, you can get Doom 3 strategy guide for $9.99 (regular price $20) with purchase of DOom3

yeah. I had chance to exchange my 250 GB disk for 250 GB SATA disk for free but I just don't have enough space to back up my whole HD so I had to let it go

yeah it does same thing on mine.
I ran my first test and I got 10000 score but every test I ran since only gives me about 8000..weird
And my clockspeed is always different and always wrong (like 7 MHz)
anyone knows ETA for 3dmark2004 ?

Btw, I noticed that you can't find a geforce 6800 for under $410 anymore, even on pricewatch. I guess the demand is greater than the supply.
I bought mine at cost for $320 at compusa 2 weeks ago. 6800GT that is.

I have AMD 64 3200, two maxtor PATA HDs (200+250 GB), one dvd-rom, one dvd-rw and geforce 6800 GT all running on Antec 350W PS.
I was really worried when I bought my 6800 that it's not gonna be enough but everything runs just fine...

WOO HL2! Fuk DOOM 3 and it's stupid XP only BS.
haha, looks like win98 owners are really a mean bunch as the other thread proved.
I am looking forward to HL2 and I will buy it though I would prefer to have it released AFTER I finish Doom 3 SP. Nothing like having 2 AAA titles released at the same time and not knowing what to play first..
though constant announcements from Valve are kinda getting old..I am with the shut-up-until-it's-really-done crowed on this one

When I first installed XP I kept dual boot for win 98 so I can play my games in win98 and do everything else in XP. Well it turned out that I never ever actually went to 98 because all games worked perfect in XP so when I upgraded hard drive I just ditched 98 altogether
