Quite cool for a quick blast, but im wanting a more realistic racer, something that handles like a car. Im waiting for GTR, and after experiencing the demo, it will be the shit. Not to say NFS:U2 wont be a bad game, in its own right. But as mentioned previously, not a good time to be releasing a game.

If it is true, an official announcement from Valve would be appropriate. Dont let people wonder, assume, denounce it as fake, mess their pants etc in the meantime. At least get the professionalism part right.

allowing another chance for gamers to pre-purchase the still not-gold game.. LOL
so what we have is a bunch of people with HL2 vouchers from what.. last year? most of the game on their HD doing nothing... and now the ability to pre-purchase the game... with no definately release date this side of six months..
no thanks, as Sauron said a while back this is joke. Bring it out already, and ill go pick it up at the local Walmart.

Half Life2 - preload = waste of time. 1 gig of useless data sitting on my PC, no thanks. Ill rock up to the local geek store when its released. People playing it a day earlier than me ? no big deal, no sleep loss there ....

Thats your opinion, not a fact. In fact I believe ID has released some of the worst games ever, mostly from the perspective of failing to live up to the potential. The main one being Quake 1.
maybe Quake1 single player wasnt the greatest, but take a look at multiplayer. Quakeworld. enough said.
Wolfenstein and doom were inovative yes..
Yes slightly innovative. probably the sole reason why the FPS is around today.

Im disappointed in Valve, for the sake of half life fans who deserve to at least know wtf is going on. Valve, take a good look at ID Software, that is how a professional game company operates. Bring on Doom3.
