I haven't until recently had a machine that I thought I'd want to try playing it on. Now that I do have a machine that can play it, I'm hearing more about the shitty support of the game.
I'll pick it up, but probably when it's in the bargain bin.
And I'm still busy with TF2.

I went ahead and just bought it on 360 from a guy at work that was done with it, and had completely written off spore because of it.
I guess I could still buy spore. hmm, if only it were on steam.

I'm still on 1.0.2 firmware. Not gonna fuss with update, the Phone is too important to be usable to worry about new features. Everything works great for me, and I don't know what I'm missing, so I don't care. 
However, I think I'll be less likely to try doing this again, even though it's cool hardware, I would still like to be able to update or get support from apple, and I'm on T-Mobile, I don't get support.

Wine has come a long way since cedega first got popular. Wine now supports more games than cedega and there are plans for DX10 support. And wine is free.

That's probably part of the reasoning behind it, to make you feel claustrophobic, thereby adding a bit more immersion because you are deep under water in an unsettling place.
I can see it as being a design decision.

awesome, at the least I could call my bank and have them fuck them visa style. I'll wait it out before I do anything drastic.
Edit: deleted both clientregistry.blob and appupdatestats.blob and now i'm in updating bioshock.

I actually installed my copy this week, but with games causing the NV display to black or to be completely green with spiraling patterns of black dots instead of anything useable.
So I installed Gentoo, and I'll see if NV's Linux drivers are any better, and play with wine for a while.
