one cool possibility |

the mgs4 buzz seems to indicate a move towards more freedom in gameplay (something closer to gta/deus ex etc). a game like this could certainy benefit from such a move, though lame studio execs love the market research contrivance of the "dumb gamer" who would sooner be lead down a hallway than choose where to go.

itd be cool if he had to "break" from the NSA - story is so important in games - it "builds" much of the experience of the gameplay and helps pace things out/reduce boredom etc - i hope its just not new (but cool looking admittedly) maps and a new gun. him going rogue could be cool. heck, make the world he's in disintegrate and he can become a mercenary...though maybe itd take hideo kojima to do that.

it really is sad how far from any sort of industry bar/standard this guy operates, fueled it seems by his own solipsistic self-imposed isolation - like, this is evinced by " This patch requires the previous v2.00.00 baseline patch released in May." - what patch ever needs a previous patch these days? you at least see the option of one patch that will bring the oldest version up to the newest, if not in betweens.

"Well were down to less then 2 weeks now.. I just wonder which game i will be playing more that week? Halo 2 or Half-Life 2- Metroid Prime 2 or Metal Gear Solid 3. Hmmm!! dammit now they got Ghost Recon 2 hitting that week 2.. Hmmm...."
dont forget about that new goldeneye game as well :-|
my decision is made easier on account of not having a good computer but having an xbox. i hope halo 2 is cool :-

Hey guys im thinking of buying the rights to Doom 3 and developing a martian-research sim game. Youd get to draft grant proposals and order equipment and much much more. Any thoughts?

does anyone hear know how to fix the stamina bug in doom3? whenever i have to jump 4 or 5 times or run my stamina bar drops to the bottom and it doesnt return to normal for what seems like forever - tho its only ~5 minutes (i timed it).
it seems to be especially bad if i have to leap off stairs or something
i want to be killing things not standing there listening to the doom marine wheeze

If your skillz suck so hard you have to play on normal, you deserve a 4 hour playing time.
"That's like signing up for a marathon, taking a taxi to the finish line, then complaining the marathon did not give you a workout. ZING!"
whatever, DDI, youre so lame its a wonder why you arent called DDR

whatever man its totally going to suck. i have the game already and you can beat it in 4 hours on normal. im just going to wait for hl2 the REAL FPS that doesnt draw all its artistic direction from Nickelodeons "Are you afraid of the dark?" series.
the one cool thing was the nude john carmack easter egg
