I was so busy last week I didn't have much to do research or etc. I just figured I would trust the Insider picks and end up ok. Never again!
You can see their picks? How?

Annnnnndddd Houston loses. Luck's 10th 4th quarter comeback, most of any 2nd year qb of all time. Really diggin that guy leading the Colts. On a side note, i hope Houston's coach is ok.
Heck of a deal, I had the Colts. So, now I am either going to be 7-6 or 8-5.

Yeah, I hate weeks with a lot of home underdogs. Didn't feel confident at all going in. By far my worse week so far but I have a feeling I won't be alone.
My worst weeks so far were 3 and 5 when I was .500 (8-8, 7-7). If Houston's lead holds up, and Green Bay wins tomorrow, I'll go 7-6 this week. So, not quite my worst... yet.

Like that DST article and fully agree!
As I've said before, have everyone use GMT. Now, make a meeting appointment with someone on the other side of the world, and have no confusion over the time. Does it really matter if the time you are getting up is 7 am or 13 GMT, of course not. Sure it will be tougher on us "old" folks, but in 10-15 years there will be a generation who will find it quite natural and useful.

Agreed, nothing wrong with reading and liking Ender's Game when you're 12 or whatever, it resonates with young males especially. Looking back on my memories as an adult though it's easy to see Card's bizarre personal views there just under the surface. I certainly don't regret enjoying the books once upon a time but I have no desire to revisit them.
They really are quite different from most sci-fi. There is a lot of interpersonal relationship stuff in the sequels. I don't think I would have enjoyed them "way back" when I originally read Ender's Game. I suspect the movie will be "okay", but not worth the premium of seeing in the theater. I'll wait for it to be on DVD or on the movie channels...

As the article indicates, he already made his money by the large boost in sales of the books. I have to admit I contributed. I had read Ender's Game previously, but never got around to reading any of the others. And the movie ads basically inspired me to go out, buy, and read the three direct sequels and Ender's Shadow (Ender's Shadow is supposedly included in the film). But whatever. Yeah he's wacko, he still deserved the money from the enjoyment I got from the books.

Football has always had its dynasties, with the Steelers in the 70's, the 49'ers and Cowboys (and the Bills, I guess) later on, then the Patriots.
Can you call losing four consecutive Superbowls a dynasty?

David Stern? Is that you? Cause seriously, thats not how the NBA works, even with the new CBA.
So, I was dreaming when San Antonio won those championships? Granted, that was six years ago. They did make the finals this year again... Although I agree it is true the NBA is less competitive than the NFL.

Looking around the web, it looks like bitcoins are on the way back up, over $200 again on some exchanges -- personally, I think he should dump the other 4/5 and find something a bit more stable.

Mistake to spend any of that. Should have reinvested it into diversified index funds for long term growth. If you get a windfall, never cash out on the principal!
Buying real estate is a long term investment. If anything he was too conservative selling only 1/5 of his bitcoins. As the article states, the value crashed shortly after he rediscovered his bitcoins. He probably would have taken a heavy tax hit, but cashing in the bitcoins at $266 before they crashed to $30 -- would seem to be good planning in my mind. Obviously he didn't know the value would crash, but I would have guessed it was coming...

I would imagine (looks at stats) that Steam is only 20 Million actual accounts. The rest are dupes and 2nd,3rd,4th accounts (see mess that was holiday sale).
I was gonna guess 5 million when you don't count abandoned accounts. Might be higher than that...
