| Well, on the 11th thru the 14th they got $545,107, an average of $136k. Double that for today and tomorrow and you get just over $3.3m, add the Paypal and you are over $3.4m. Getting $3.5m is going to be close unless it kicks up again today or tomorrow. |

Creston wrote on Oct 13, 2012, 23:08: LoS in this game is seriously, seriously, seriously fucking BROKEN. Basically it doesn't really matter what kind of cover you have. If you're in range of an alien's gun, it will fire at you and most times it WILL hit you.
This turns it into not so much a game of tactics, as a game of health management. I'm actually getting kind of irritated with it, especially since that kind of bullshit puts my guy back in the hospital for 10 days. This seems to be a continuing theme of complaints. I never played the original, but have been considering giving this version a try. I think I'm going to wait a bit and hope for a patch that fixes this problem. If it doesn't get fixed I might try it when I run out of other games... |

Haha! After watching the "Honest Trailer" of Prometheus I watched the one for The Dark Knight -- it was great.

Well, I did think it was an interesting role for Albert Brooks, although he may have played roles like that before, I don't recall one. And you are right, their final scene together is a good one.
You are also right about it not having a story. Not many people would consider that a plus. We don't learn anything about where Gosling comes from, or what he wants to do. He's a wheel man for crooks. No, he is a stunt driver. No, he is a mechanic. No, he's an aspiring race car driver. And I thought the toothpick was out of place for a guy who was presented as being meticulous about whatever he did.
But, whatever. Guess we'll have to agree to disagree. Thanks for telling me your perspective. |

And thanks to microtransactions for purchasing playable characters and items, League of Legends is also likely generating a lot of revenue from those players -- Ngmoco GM and free-to-play expert Ben Cousins estimates that the core-targeted game grosses $5-10 million every day. Here is what I don't understand about that quote -- whether is true or false why would you say it? I don't see upside either way... |

Verno wrote on Oct 12, 2012, 10:26: Go watch Fracture, a really average Hollywood effort brought up by both Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling. I always view a good actor as someone whose performance can elevate a mediocre script and Ryan Gosling can pull that off. Drive was a great movie BTW, just probably not what you were expecting. The trailer for Fracture looks interesting, I added it to my Netflix queue.
I watch all kinds of movies, thrillers, comedies, dramas, horror, musicals, sci-fi, everything. I wasn't expecting anything, certainly tastes and opinions differ, but I don't see anything "great" in Drive. Is it bad? No. It's just average. Maybe I overlooked it, what do you think makes it great? The acting, the screen play, the character development, the action scenes? Like I said, it gets bonus points for not having a typical happy Hollywood ending, but that's about it in my book -- flat average, 2.5-3.0 stars out of 5. |

| Ok, I tried searching for the topic, but couldn't find it. Whoever it was that thought "Drive" was a good movie -- you are off my list as a movie appraiser. Although it does get points for not having a Hollywood ending. |
