| Huh. I hadn't noticed this, but then my frequency of embedded video viewing isn't too high -- usually even when it is embedded I jump to YouTube to watch it. Not sure how or why I picked up that habit. |

LMAO! That has to be the funniest thing he's said in any review in the last year.
Really? Even after google I don't get the reference. Your googling must really suck even more than mine then. Try "Jonestown". I'll save you the trouble, here is the wiki entry: Jonestown. |

Been in my house coming up on seven years now and I think the total amount of time spent talking to neighbors is under 15 minutes -- and that includes arranging a brief incursion onto someone else property to have my landscaping guys clear some "junk trees". |

InBlack wrote on Mar 26, 2013, 10:11: Well that makes a lot of sense. You mention liquidity. So they have a lot of cash at hand, so if they use that to pay for their losses wont they have to make up for it somewhere else? (Like in worker pay cuts or whatever) What Im really asking is, is that cash just sitting there or is it part of the usual company cashflow? I don't know the answer to your question. But I will say that corporate finances are a bit mind boggling. For instance, a huge corporation like GE, they don't keep enough "cash" on hand to pay their enormous employee payroll every two weeks. Instead they borrow money from banks to pay that. The idea being that they make more money using their cash in other ways (investments in themselves or other companies) than the cost of interest on the loan for their operating capital. Sounds a bit crazy to me, but it is in fact "normal" to operate like that. |

Ah, cool -- thanks nin. I didn't know about the comics and I had wondered if I "missed" why Nero was mad at Spock for the destruction of Romulus. Not to mention I don't recall the movie covering why Romulus was destroyed to begin with.
Did the movie actually cover either of those points? If it did, I either entirely missed it or have totally forgotten it. (have I mentioned recently that getting old sucks) |

| I like it all mostly... except like the first two seasons of TNG. I can understand a "purist" not liking the reboot -- destroying Vulcan was fairly rude, but meh -- not an issue for me. |
