I played for 2 weeks and got to level 40 or something when WoW was first released. I thought to myself how I wasted 2 weeks playing that game, and quit.

Whatever floats someone's boat though. I find WoW and WoW MMO Clones boring as hell.

A common criticism that I have never understood. Are there any PC games that aren't a repeated series of clicking(or keyboarding)? I'm sure there must be some, but not many. And I'd be willing to bet you play some that are, if you read this site.

Passed my two year anniversary last month of getting out. I haven't missed the game, only the people. It's possible they could interest me with a new expansion, but I'd say it's a pretty low chance, under 5%. All games have a life expectancy, nothing lasts forever.

I wonder if the next Wolverine movie is a full 2 hour version of THIS.
Aren't they all? That's kind of the point of the skit...

Did Jackman say he was done? I hadn't heard that. For all I know he loves the role. *shrug*

After gaming on a mac for the past 6 years, I might have to buy a PC just to play this game.
Just wait until it's out and the consensus opinion is positive. It all feels too good to be true at this point.

I don't know about the rest of you, but this was easily my worst week picking games. I think I got a whole 5 games correct.
HEY! No complaining when you are in first place.

Haha, there is only one of my 5 wrong picks currently that all three of them didn't also get wrong.

My saving grace this week was picking Cleveland. Didn't have a specific reason to pick them other than I just thought they were playing better than Baltimore was.

I was so busy last week I didn't have much to do research or etc. I just figured I would trust the Insider picks and end up ok. Never again!
You can see their picks? How?

Annnnnndddd Houston loses. Luck's 10th 4th quarter comeback, most of any 2nd year qb of all time. Really diggin that guy leading the Colts. On a side note, i hope Houston's coach is ok.
Heck of a deal, I had the Colts. So, now I am either going to be 7-6 or 8-5.

Yeah, I hate weeks with a lot of home underdogs. Didn't feel confident at all going in. By far my worse week so far but I have a feeling I won't be alone.
My worst weeks so far were 3 and 5 when I was .500 (8-8, 7-7). If Houston's lead holds up, and Green Bay wins tomorrow, I'll go 7-6 this week. So, not quite my worst... yet.

Like that DST article and fully agree!
As I've said before, have everyone use GMT. Now, make a meeting appointment with someone on the other side of the world, and have no confusion over the time. Does it really matter if the time you are getting up is 7 am or 13 GMT, of course not. Sure it will be tougher on us "old" folks, but in 10-15 years there will be a generation who will find it quite natural and useful.

Agreed, nothing wrong with reading and liking Ender's Game when you're 12 or whatever, it resonates with young males especially. Looking back on my memories as an adult though it's easy to see Card's bizarre personal views there just under the surface. I certainly don't regret enjoying the books once upon a time but I have no desire to revisit them.
They really are quite different from most sci-fi. There is a lot of interpersonal relationship stuff in the sequels. I don't think I would have enjoyed them "way back" when I originally read Ender's Game. I suspect the movie will be "okay", but not worth the premium of seeing in the theater. I'll wait for it to be on DVD or on the movie channels...

As the article indicates, he already made his money by the large boost in sales of the books. I have to admit I contributed. I had read Ender's Game previously, but never got around to reading any of the others. And the movie ads basically inspired me to go out, buy, and read the three direct sequels and Ender's Shadow (Ender's Shadow is supposedly included in the film). But whatever. Yeah he's wacko, he still deserved the money from the enjoyment I got from the books.

Football has always had its dynasties, with the Steelers in the 70's, the 49'ers and Cowboys (and the Bills, I guess) later on, then the Patriots.
Can you call losing four consecutive Superbowls a dynasty?

David Stern? Is that you? Cause seriously, thats not how the NBA works, even with the new CBA.
So, I was dreaming when San Antonio won those championships? Granted, that was six years ago. They did make the finals this year again... Although I agree it is true the NBA is less competitive than the NFL.
