The publisher has already stated that work on CoD 5 had begun before CoD 4 was released, so they had no chance to take the positive reviews and acceptance into account. and your going to listen to a publisher of all people?

if people are activating online, why the hell do they need the cd in the drive? didnt mass effect even remove that annoyance?
i bought my copy of bioshock, but i have used a no-cd crack everytime i play it. i do that with all my games.
i have supported the company by paying for the product (in australia we pay i think almost twice as much as our games than anywhere else, so i have supported them and THEN some). as far as im concerned thats where the relationship ends. i would prefer not to use no-cd cracks, but you leave me no choice.
NOBODY on the face of the planet wants securom on their pc. nobody.

crysis was dull and stale. very much a rent it game. yes i paid for it and regret it, especially with the whole 'we dont support our games' attitude they have now. they also managed to blame the pc community for crysis not selling well, then announce they have a new one they want us to buy. what?
i'm not even going to play a demo of warhead until you finish patching crysis so it runs as it should in SP/MP.
edit - my main beef with crysis was the combat itself. it lacked any excitement or 'fun'.. and it lacked any impact. the blood 'puffs' that you get when you shoot someone is barely able to be seen. at least in farcry they had decals to show you had just shot someone.
the ragdolls are also incredibly stiff. the north koreans all amazingly speak english unless you play it on the hardest difficulty and are quite happy to let you know when they are about to throw a grenade or are reloading.
they also really dont allow you any sort of fun using the suit. as the suit has a battery life of around 10-15 seconds when using stealth. not only that but any area you enter you basically have a teammate telling you to go stealth or go guns blazing. well they 'recommend' it anyway.
so yes, to sum up my beef is with the actual gunplay itself. its just not 'fun'. they spent to much time on graphics and deals with microsoft for vista. i wont even go into how generic the sounds are. actually yes i will, i actually refused to use the ak-47 type weapon that is in the game due to the sounds alone.
every character is a cliche (which i blame on american movies creating those cliche's in the first place), but the only character that does have any personality is psycho. obviously why they chose him for this game.
and what the hell, if its the same story, with the same characters, why am i going to pay full price for it? obviously, im not.

why are you all pointing out the bleeding obvious?
it's EA for fucks sake. of course they are doing anything they can to milk the sims and related fanbase for the money they know they can get.
you have a simple choice, buy it or dont.

fantastic game and a fantastic tool. i cant wait for the full game.
the game wasnt even really on my radar of looking forward too games. i knew it would be significant due to will wright but they had just never gotten me excited about it.
but yeah, just using that tool you get an idea for the scope of the game. each time i load it up i come up with some insane creature.

i straight up have to agree. american games are very bright and flashy and colourful.
i think its those bloody focus groups or test groups or whatever you wanna call them, they obviously take a very moody atmospheric american game and go "oh, its not colourful enough" and fuck things up.

This article pretty much just says they are working on new tech, i.e. new console hardware, and that they plan on supporting 360 for years to come (as does Sony for ps2 now). So, yeah they are working on a new one and I hope it takes Nintendoes control approach to the next level. You just know they will. god i hope your wrong. i cant stand that bloody waggling device.

he really irritates me.
only 2 people in this industry really irritate me. him and that guy from epic games, the one that never shuts his mouth and whenever it is open nothing but shit spews out.
his name escapes me at the moment, probably for the better.
