Once games from Valve and Blizzard (plus The Sims) require DX10 and Vista, you can consider it truly relevant to PC gaming.
One thing is sure though, people who like the game and can afford the game and run the game, who go out and torrent it ARE a lost sale and ARE helping to kill off PC gaming entirely.
Nice work guys.
Its blue! I am star struck! heh
If you want to make a single player experience the console is the superior place to market it.
have a good friend who is a heavy WoW user. He has 10 level 70 characters (one of each class, two druids; one feral, one restro.). He has run Black Temple with about half of them, and all them in at least SSC. He gave Warhammer a try. What follows is his evaluation, which I found interesting:
If I didn't know better I'd say that developers are TRYING to force PC Gamers to consoles.
Why do so many players not practice religion?
it actually brought some innovations/improvements which WoW has later on copied
50% isn't exactly a reliable number. Much better to have a source that I trust 100% of the time, such as myself. Given the ability to judge games for myself, what logical reason would I have to bother with any other source?
All I hear from you about piracy is that you should be able to try products before you buy them, which is bullshit. Demos exist to test games - you can argue that they may not represent the game accurately but then neither does a 200 mile test drive in a new car and no car manufacturer is going to offer you a 20,000 mile demonstration.
So frankly, you should care. PC gaming IS NOT PROFITABLE.
The idea of cover being an important part of gameplay was innovating
then you can spare $50 each month on a game, regardless of it's quality.
Tough shit if you don't like it, not everything is sure in life.
I guess I'm in the minority around here. I actually love the game. It's so refreshing to get away from a game like WoW and play a game like AoC, with far more lore & realism. The game play mechanics are top notch & the graphics are the best out there for an MMO. It does have some problems like all MMO's though. Overall it's a great game & well worth your $$.
I'm not really talking about the content in fact I dont even play WoW.
Although i was not impressed at all with the graphics. But that's how a lot of these MMO's are, Second Life has crappy graphics, WoW's graphics are nothing to write home about. I want an open world MMO like second life, or Vegas with graphics as good as Crysis or Age of Conan.
