All I saw was a bunch of scripted sequences and QTE's lol but it looks purty

Only some of that was scripted, a lot of it was actual game play. Looked pretty impressive too. This oneís been on my want list for a long time. Coop being the main reason.

Daggerdale could have been a good game, but I think Atari didnít allow them enough time to complete the game. For the most part I was able to finish the game Coop with a few friends. it was fun. But the bugs do make it harder to complete the game. I guess there goes the long awaited and promised patch we all were waiting on. Figures!!

Whats more retarded is that they would implement this type of DRM on a 15 dollar game. thats just Ubi not being very smart business wise.

5. Re: Ghost Recon Future Soldier MP Trailer Aug 16, 2011, 16:53 Darks

Thatís because there wonít be any version released for the PC. I had a very lengthy discussion with those guys at E3 about snubbing the PC. Their solution to me was we are getting the online version. I saw that version and it sucks ass. Looks like shit and is nothing more than another kill me, kill you game. Why would anyone want to play this game DM when you have BF3 and COD coming out soon? I was baffled and pissed off at Ubi for again screwing the PC over.

Update: OK, let me rephrase this, when I was there they explicitly said there were no plans for the PC. Maybe they heard a lot of complaints about the PC getting passed over that they decided to go back on their word and now finally do a pc release. This defiantly makes me happy. The game looked damn good at E3.

Iím hoping that doom 4 with feature two players Coop too. ID needs t o concentrate on the survival aspect of the game rather than making it dark and gloomy and trying to scare you to death around every corner.

You can reach 30 in 15hours of play (if you know what you're doing),
I was in the beta (PSN+ access) and I hit the beta cap (15 IIRC) inside a day. This alone turned me off to the game. No to mention I would have preferred to play on PC which I heard was a complete abysmal port.

While the game was cool it really felt like a Fisher Price MMO. Like those crappy web based ones advertised during Saturday morning cartoons.

And finally stack on PC and PS3 being on different servers that sealed the deal for not buying into it.

Say that reminds me. Was the PC version down during the PSN hacks or was it still running?

It was down..

I tried to pick this up again a few weeks ago and my formerly packed server was so dead I couldn't believe it. Watchtower had only 2-3 people on a Saturday evening Dead.

The Reason those servers are dead is because of Sonyís failed attempt to satisfy their customers after the Hacking. Yes, they offered us time back, and some even got items. But I lost more time when I still had my 30 original days after I bought this game on sale.

Right after I bought it the servers went down; I got a whole 5 days usage out of my account. I informed Sony after we got back on line that I had lost several weeks, they pretty much told me to piss off, what they gave us was more than enough.
So, I cancelled my account and havenít gone back. Sony is now the ones suffering because they have turned away from their customers. Which is why the servers are merging no oneís playing the game. Sony is untrustworthy and they have failed.

The only way to win a MMO is to stop playing. Looks like 11.1 million people still need to realize this.

That is so true, blizzard sees the writing on the wall, and they donít like what they are reading. Itís only a matter of time before they lose millions of users. No matter how much content that put in this game it will always feel that same way. There is nothing new about WOW except how boring it gets after a month of playing. I left over six months ago and so did many of my friends. We all have said the same thing, we are done with WOW!

I will also add this, with all the new content they added, blizzrd made the new addon way to difficult for many of the normal users. it pretty much drove them away from the game.

"world-renowned"... God I love marketing speak.

To be fair, I think Gearbox probably does qualify. They have released a lot of games that have sold really well. The Brothers in Arms series, Borderlands, the Half Life expansion pack, etc.

They've been in business as Gearbox for... twelve years or so now? In the gaming industry, that's an eternity for a studio.

Creston

You got that right, with EA and Activision buying up all the small developers just to get their hands on their IP then dumping the rest of the lot. Iíd say the Gearbox is doing pretty good for themselves. Still awaiting Colonial Marines from these guys too. But, Borderlands 2 should be pretty good as long as they still have 4 players Coop.

There was nothing to hate about this game. Solo it was slow, but Coop it was a lot of fun and pretty difficult at times. The endless weapons the game gave you was pretty kewl too.

For this to be a deal breaker is really a typical knee jerk reaction when you refuse to remember how most of the population enjoyed playing Diablo 2 and only draw comparisons which simply aren't there.
You are totally missing the point. There is no reason to not allow an offline option just like Starcraft 2 has.

The sad truth behind why D3 wonít have offline mode for the SP game is because they saw how Star Crap 2 was still pirated. Even though Blizz got their millions, they still want to gouge the community for ever last dime they can get. Blizzard is nothing more than a blood sucking Vampire that doesnít give a shit about any of us or what we think about their DRM.

You guys who insist that if we are unhappy about this then it means we must have crappy internet connections are basically trolling. You know damn well that there is a pervasive fundamental objection to be required to be online for a singleplayer game on the part of many gamers.

My connection is 100% stable, but that is entirely besides the point. Even with a stable connection on my side, I can't speak for Bnet. All I know is that I got tired of losing connection to Bnet servers, sometimes twice a mission in SC2, so I only play offline.

Got a question for ya? Seeing how you think that connection of yours is very stable, how do you account for other routers and gateways that might have interruptions and possibly causes your connection to drop? Plus, I want to know what happens if youíre playing Coop and someoneís connection drops. Either by lag or the so called unexpected interruptions that do happen. Is their drop in drop out coop? If not this is going to be a very big issue with many players.
