First off I don’t buy without thinking about what I’m buying first. I’m not an impulse buyer. Secondly, we are not talking about the environment; we are talking about a hobby. I’m not saying that anyone has to buy a game that they don’t want. That’s your choice! But what bothers me is when people say they are not going to buy something just because it has or does not have a feature they like in the game.

GFWL isn’t perfect, but it’s far from terrible too. Yes, some people have issues, but I haven’t been one of them nor have any of my friends.

Its just really boggling when someone says I’m not buying just because it has GFWL.

GFWL? No thanks.

Ditto. Epic fail, Codemasters. Epic fail.

^D^

This is the point I was trying to make, OK, so just because it has GFWL that constitutes a no buy? You got to be kidding me. I’m not just talking about this game, this goes for any game that uses GFWL.

The game hasn’t even come out but you all have made a conscious decision to not buy the game. To me that’s just absurd. How do you all justify your comments on a game that’s not even released? Just because it doesn’t have a feature that you all like? You all don’t have any clue how this game will play but you all made a decision to not even try it. Sometimes I wonder if people are saying what they do just to go along with what others are saying or agreeing upon.

This is the point I was making about how people make blind decision on a game that no one has even played yet. And just because it has GFWL is not a valid excuse to not purchase a game. Now if there were a lot of reviews out and the game sucked, OK I understand that but to make a claim about something that’s not out yet is plain absurd.

Really? I belive I stated that I have not had any of those issues Verno, I belive thats being postive enough, or is it that you cant read what I wrote correctly?

I said, I have no issues at all with patching or slowness.

I said I use the service without any issues.

BTW, Take your troll ass some place else if you cant be positive in comenting. fuck, why dont you stick to your crappy console while your at it. It seems to me thats right up your ally. go play your Piece of Shit 3.

I’m just sick of people always bashing the pc games we get. You guys are not helping pc games with all the bashing its hurting it. I know, I have a good friend who’s a developer and he tells me that they are sick to death with all the bashing from the community. You guys are not helping PC games when all you do is tear it down with all the complaining.

I hate console, can’t stand them, I happen to enjoy pc gaming. I just don’t understand why you all shit all over what you all claim to love so much.

Verno, you never cease to amaze me with how much you bitch, complain and disagree with everyone’s comments. You could write a book with all the complaints you’ve posted here. You complain more than a woman, for all we know you are a women.

Your comments are the perfect example of what I was saying. You say GFWL is clumsy, and poorly implemented, and it’s slow. Hmm, I’ve never had those issues. Maybe it’s you or your shitty pc or maybe your brain dead, whichever comes first. I use it to play games with others, and inviting people into games. There’s nothing hard or horrid about it. It’s not as streamlined as steams are but it works all the same. As for the patching process, I’ve never had it take more than 5 mins to do all the patches.

The problem is you all are spoiled, you think just because stream works one way that GFWL should too. Deal with it or don’t buy it either way I don’t give a shit one way or the other. But stop your whining about it all the time. If you can do better and make something better, please show us your all mighty developing skills and do so.

The point I’m making is that PC games are far and few between, and if you all keep on bitching and going down this path we won’t have to worry about bitching about pc games because there won’t be any to bitch about at this rate.

Gotta love how they don't have the balls to ask why they are using GFWL when everyone hates it.

It's because this is a console game, plain and simple.

Tons of console ports use Steamworks and such, I don't see how that matters.

It doesn’t matter, its the hate thing with people, all they want to do it hate something because it uses GFWL. There is nothing wrong with GFWL, I use it all the time on my pc and it works just fine. I think people just like to hear themselves bitch is all. Face facts you guys, if all people do is keep putting down pc games with complaints and commenting that I’m not buying it because it uses GFWL. That’s not a legitimate excuse. But people use that as a one all the time.

It cracks me up when I read a person saying they won’t buy a game because of that. We should all be happy that there is a pc version of the game. I know when I see a consol only version, how many times in the past have people complained about why there’s not a pc version coming out? Quite a few times.

12. Re: EA on The Old Republic vs WoW Mar 16, 2011, 01:57 Darks

The difference is, you need to go and watch the complete walk through at lv 32 for four players. This is a perfect example of how the game is different. Yes there are going to be similarities, but I play wow with a very good guild. From watching that video I can see all the differences. There is a lot more story driven quest with full on dialog. go to Fileplanet and download this video and watch it. I think you might be surprised.

Search for this text, I would post the link ,but its telling me its too long.

There was a little country called Germany many years ago that was in the same position....economically and politically. In that scenario it took one maniac with a vision to nearly take over the free world. Also, you are talking about the NK of today, in the game after Kim Jong Ill dies his son opens up dialogue with the west and unites Korea etc. You are then inserted into the game ....20 years from now? Its improbable but hardly implausible.

I was thinking the same thing... Have you never watched the History channel?

I know its just a game, but I’m pretty sure NK would never be able to put together a force to take us on, especially in our own homeland. First off they would have to put together a very sizable navy to even start thinking about taking us on. Before that would even happen the US Navy would crush anything they built.

Secondly, they would have to invade SK in order to accomplish any plans like this. That would involve us in a ground war there. Not likely NK could defeat us without the Chinese helping them.

If China involved themselves their economy would collapse over night because they are to dependant on the rest of the world to survive economically. All allies to the US would collapse on China and NK. End of story. Plus let’s not forget the nuclear deterrent. Don’t think for a moment we wouldn’t use it if it got that bad.

The story would have been more belivable if it was China doing the invading and not NK.

I finally decided to hold of buying DA2 simply because I didn't feel like getting shafted with all the DLC again, only to find out from quite a few people whose opinions I value that the story is rather mediocre, with barely an overarching plotline of any kind, and it's mostly just doing a horde of unrelated side-missions.

Chapter one is like that but later on it gets much more involved and the overall plotline made clear. Your friends probably didn't play it that far in.

I will have to agree, your friend most likely didn’t play the game very much. I just finished the game last night and I have to say that it was a very good game. Some of the side quest I could have done without, but most of the quest had some kind of link to the story later on that affected things the choices you made.

I played both endings, loved them both. Moral choices, there are a lot of them in this game that evolve the plot and your reputation within the order.

Complain all you want, that’s your choice, but I really enjoyed the game a lot.

I have a serious problem with Valve on this one. I have a steam account with quite a few games that I have purchased too adding up to well over $1000.00 If Valve banned me I would pay them a visit and beat the hell out them if they didn’t un-ban my account.

Personally I feel that if I wanted to sell my account that’s my business and fuck Valve if they don’t like it. I paid for the shit not them!!!

No, there’s actually something wrong with the Nvidia drivers or the way DA2 is working with DX11. The game is horribly laggy when using DX11. I’ve had to play almost the entire game with DX9. Just made it to Chapter 3. and beat down the big ass dragon at the mines. Great game so far. Just wish I was able to play it using DX11.

EA has got to be either stupid, or they just don’t give a shit about their users. How did they even begin to think that this wouldn’t come out? Seriously, they knew a hacked copy would be released and those guys would have found Secrom while cracking it. Utterly stupid and carless of EA to think we are all stupid. I think EA thinks that they are so big now that no matter what they do doesn’t matter. This is just another nail in their coffin.

Well said ASeven, I totaly agree, its one thing to ban you from posting your opinion, but its another when someone fucks with your game where you can even play it. BTW, dosent freedom of speech play into all of this? Banning someone from speaking their minds can probably get you into a law suit.

I'm seriously rethinking any future Bioware purchases, at this point.

You can’t just flag Bioware for this one, if you’re going to take that stance then you had better be doing the same for EA. they are all and the same now.

But, I do agree at this is really starting to bother me about EA and Biowares QAing and business practices.

Dragon Age 2 is having all kinds of issues with DX 11. The game lags like hell. Unbelievable that they released it in this state. but considering its EA nothing they do surprises me.

If they want to save face with their fans, they need to go back and do this one correctly and with Demons and portals and fireballs flying. Personally I can’t see how one movie, namely”Constantine" can get away with Hell and demons and such but Doom cant. Give me a break all you religious zealots and whiners!! I’m as religious as the next person, I believe in Heaven and hell but I do not allow those beliefs to get in the way of entertainment. Get a fricking life this is entertainment, you have a choice watch it or don’t. But please STFU and move on with your lives and leave those of us that like this stuff alone.

26. Re: Homefront Campaign is Five Hours? Mar 8, 2011, 12:11 Darks

So, as usually many developers are taking the short route and short cutting many games stories these days. So should we call this the 5 Hour war? I don’t get why they made this campaign so short, how can you really get into the game and explain and setup the story very well in five short hours? You can’t!

Ok, the comment if you’re buying this game for the SP content only is for the wrong reason has got to be the stupidest comment I have read here. You’re joking right? I’ll tell what, why don’t you stick to MMO PVP server, if PVP is your thing have at it dude. I personally never ever buy a game for Multiplayer unless it’s Coop. Utterly lame comment. Single player and the story is what is all about.

Zyrxil,

Ok, let’s hear you expert opinion about someone who uses a laptop and that laptop gets stolen or misplaced? Yea your account is locked down to that laptop and now someone has full access that account. Sorry, but a key fob is ten times more secure. Plus you can use it anywhere you like unlike someone trying to login on your pc at work and make a change. The idea of using hardware as a lockdown is stupid. This only benefits the manufactures and Valve along with the publishers to put that noose around your neck even tighter for DRM. No thanks! And I’m not stupid enough to allow my account to be hacked, those that do get hacked are the morons that get virus and spam from going places they shouldn’t have gone in the first place that got them hacked.
