T2's videos make it look very very like T1 gameplay-wise.

Borderlands 2 looks great but I am concerned that it will be half a game at launch, with lots of DLC to buy extra. Not a pre-buy for me.

Half a game with a 60 Hour Coop campaign, not hardly. And that 60 hours is all depends on the person and if you rush through the game or not.

For me it's actually not the money budget that's the problem, it's the TIME budget. Just got GW2, then BL2, then Dishonored a few weeks later, then AC3 a few weeks after that.

I don't see where I'm going to have time to fit TL2 in that. Had they released it in July, I'd have had two months to play it...

Creston

By releasing it in september, will the game magically not be available in july?

OK, stop being so literal dude. Heís referring to the so called original release data it was supposed to have. Last July.

Because they dont? There are a lot of people who are not interested in Borderlands or vice versa Torchlight at all. Different games, different tastes, different people.

To some extent your comments are true, but, there are people like me and there are a great deal of them who want to play both. As Creston said, this will cost those sales at some point. Those sales will be made up at a later point. But this does nothing for the initial sales. Again, itís kind of dumb of their part to try and compete.

How about this, first it was your fault GW2 to begin with. And since somehow you know who did it and if they will follow through, how about your program takes care of it and deletes the gains? I like how they think they can make the mob have morals like this, say "I'm sawries, I promises never again". It's still just a game Anet, sheesh.

Ok thanks for sharing your valuable input.

I got to say I do not get this one at all, some people fell into this unknowingly and bought an item or two from this so called exploit.

Where is Arena nets integrity in all of this? I mean really, were they not the ones that fucked up in the first place with this over site on their part. And now because some people took part in buying even one item are now getting banned even people who only bought one item. Ridiculous!

To me thatís utter crap on Arena nets part. They are the ones who left this in the game to Begin with. Itís not like people used a hack to get those items or the extra karma out of it.

I was not banned, nor did I know anything about this until last night. But still Arena Net needs to take some responsibility over this too. From their point of view everyoneís guilty and to me thatís more than a little disturbing, also because they hold the keys, do what we say or else. Yea, OK!! Iíve just lost some respect for Arena net.

Ive been enjoying this game a lot, but this just sickens me to no end.

This release date is really dumb on their part. Why do they want to compete with Borderlands 2? Iím all for the game coming out, but I feel that the game should have come out a few weeks ago. Oh well, at least itís almost here. With GW2, Borderlands 2 and TL2 itís going to be a very busy fall.

Hey Verno, Iím with you on that one. I canít figure out people and wanting to rush through the game like that.

Iíve been enjoying my Warrior way better then my Thief, Iím dual Wielding, and I crush everything I come up against in my level range.

Dual Wielding is the best, I only switch over to a shield if the combat gets crazy.

Also, I tried adding you to my friendís list last night, but someone elseís name came up and that person didnít know who I was or who blues was.

So, when you get a chance add Ilyra.

I got into an argument with someone on Reddit about this. They claim it's because Anet wants to cut down on WTB/WTS spam in general chat channels, and force people to use the Trading Post (when it's up...).

I have to laugh at that, All I see i nth game is spams about WTS or WTT.

Yea, the lack of trading does suck, but you can just email it to the person too. it s instantaneous. Not sure how you would collect though if someone wanted to be devious.

Someone maxed a crafter already. Give me a break, this is just another copy cat MMO with very little substance behind it. No challenge, strictly fun.

I will have to disagree with that, I have been trying to get my weapon smiting up and Iím finding it a bit tedious. Itís been tough getting the materials needed to get your leveling up. So I canít agree that itís a cookie cutter in anyway. I found WOWs crafting much better and simpler to level versus GW 2 system. Their system is requiring a lot more materials to make items. And some of the materials required are a bit hard to find. Vilas of Blood being one of them.

So, if someone maxed their crafting out already, then I have no idea how they did it so quickly. itís not been something I found very easily done so far.

Anyone else finding crafting a bit frustrating?

Copper ore being one of them, the conversion ratio for ore per bar for one. Then trying to make weapons requires a lot of bars. Iím finding that per weapon, the amount of bars required seems a bit high. Plus finding copper isnít exactly and easy chore either.

What race are you? The human starting area Queensdale is drowning in copper ore, particularly around the quarry to the west of the Divinity Reach entrance. You can take the Lion's Arch gate thing to there if you're a different race or hunt around for better spawns. Ore spawns aren't shared btw so don't worry about people hitting "your" node or vice versa.

Playing a human, and yea I know about the nodes not being shared, that was a great idea on their part to not share them.

Ill have ot run over there. Im always short on Ore.

I find that I have out leveled the areas where Copper ore is at and now mining Iron and Silver. Before I have even leveled up and past Copper usage. I donít mind looking for the Ore, but the returns seem far too low. And I really donít want to spend all of my time just searching for Ore and going back and running around just looking for it. And lets not talk about the low drop rate of the Blood Viles.

Anyone else seeing this issue too?

Been having a blast in the headstart, I didn't approach it as WoW and this definitely helped. It's kind of amusing watching just how badly conditioned players are to the "stand still and spam butan" MMO combat model, I watched a Veteran mob wipe the floor with about 6 people last night. I approach it more like an ARPG with MMO trappings and find it pretty damned fun.

My thief is at level 14 and my Guardian is 15. Still can't decide which one I want to play going forward, they are both damned fun. Done a lot of exploration, its nice to see things exist without a seeming purpose or quest hub. I found some crazy underwater cavern with jumping puzzles and stuff last night. I'd encourage people to get out there beyond the renown heart stuff, there is a lot of hidden stuff to find.

Overall the launch has been pretty good but they have some stuff to work out:

- Guilds over 250 members are broken, invites stop working at that point
- Trading Post is always down, fix this shit please
- Party invites across instances are wonky
- A few event triggers are bugged, most likely from a player starting them and logging out.

Not sure, I was on most of yesterday and Sunday. On the Server Maguuma. I know that Verno said hes playing on this server. Not sure about anyone else. Made lv 22 and stopped for the night.

I am indeed on Maguuma with Starfleet Dental. The Blues guild is on Tarnished Coast but it doesn't really matter which specific server you are on, you can belong to multiple guilds across different servers. The only thing you can't do is WvWvW with a cross-server guild.

Server transfers are free for the first week too so people can always change their mind to hop back and forth to play with friends.

Verno, I tried playing a Thief, usually I really like the thief class, but found myself not liking this one as much. Takes far too much damage and dies a lot, I felt the damage was not high enough using the thief. Iím still on the fence about going back and retrying this one. But my warrior kicks butt and has great survivability. Iím really liking this class a lot.

If so ill have to hook up with ya. Friend me when your on. Ilyra

Playing a warrior.

I agree, if Blizz wants to save face in any way then need to fire this ass hat.

I got back on to see the new changes, was running around with my brother and we went thru Act 3 Inferno last night. for the most part the new fixes seem to be working, but Cham and Elite fights are still pretty hard, not as bad as before but still hard. Being mobbed by an Elite pack that spawns in more elites is utterly stupid. Even with the equipment i have we died many times until we finally killed them.

Heres my profile, as you can see I have some decent gear. I tanked this with my monk while my brothers wiz did most of the dps. My Stormshield kept me going. Never discount this Shield. Itís absolutely a beast.

I'm more interested in hearing if the new item properties are only on the legendaries or if they pertain to some rares too. The biggest problem with the game was not a lack of an end game per se, it was more that grinding wasn't fun because the items you were obtaining sucked. If they have addressed that then the paragon system is just a thin layer on top for the lulls in between finding fun items.

Unfortunately, none of their changes address the problem that the game is just boring to play. Maybe if they redesign some of the skills and allow you to use more than 6 at a time, we might see some significant improvement. Fat chance.

I do think that the lack of personal customization is a real problem but hopefully the rebalanced skills will allow for more builds and less boredom.

Not according to the patch notes, I read down the page towards the bottom I believe that all level 61 to 62 will have better base stats on min and max dmg.

My thoughts exacly Verno,

Iím a little concerned about the lack of Keyboard remapping. I had to use Auto Hot Key for the last game. Itís a work around, but never should be a final solution. Devs really need to pull their heads out between the cracks, because this is getting very old and all to failure with games these days.

If this had campaign co-op (like the first) it may well have been a full price, day one purchase, but without it, it's at most a "maybe if I happen to see it on sale sometime" kind of purchase.

I enjoyed the first one quite a bit with a buddy of mine. Despite the setting, the sound effects and animation did a great job of making it fee like Transformers should feel.

According to the steam page, this game does have Coop. I would be curious to see if it really does.
