So was the BF3 one, and look what you ended up getting.

Why not just stop supporting these milked titles?

One could argue that to each their own. Its whatever you like. You may not like their games or care for the Zombie missions, but some of us do. So lets leave it at that shall we?

Freedom of choice, ever heard of it?

Oh, that's just you "telling yourself" to continue on and support it even though you shouldn't. But that's okay; usually takes a while for people to figure it out that they're being milked.

Dude, I donít sit here and tell you what to fucking play, so donít come across as if youíre the all-knowing holy guru of gaming and trying to impose your will upon others. Give your ego a rest already.

Yes, it should've been a "key per major boss" thing. Then you get something genuinely worthy instead of the questionably partly decent loot they give now.

In all actuality, they should have made these keys randomly drop from kills. Sitting around pining and waiting for Randy to toss out a few codes is utter crap. Which is why I went to the trainer. Go to Gamecopyworld.com and download it there. The best version to use is the one made by Fling. Itís the best one. It will probably complain about it being out of date. But it will still work. In game press f-11 and bling, 100 keys.

I donít consider this cheating either out of every 50 keys I have used. I may get 8 good items from the box. Since the odds are so stacked against you at getting a good item the trainer is a good thing.

I played it Coop with a friend, we really liked the game. It plays a lot like Rainbow Six Vegas with the tactical elements of the Ghost games. Many have bagged on this game, but it really is a very good game. Makes me wonder if those who were complaining even played the game. I highly doubt they did.

Agreed, can anyone say Re-hashed maps?

Iíd rather they just concentrate on making an add-on with new locations and expanding the story. Not some stupid trials maps that will be locations that we have already seen or been too.

10. Re: Guild Wars 2 Beta Mac Client Oct 17, 2012, 09:57 Darks

So I tried out this new patch last night to see what itís all about. My Brother wanted me to run an act with him so we did. About the only good thing I can really say about the patch is that Legendries drop a lot more now. We had 4 drop in our run.

The new monster challenge 1 thru 10 is a nice change, but level 3 is inferno mode level. Need I say more if you set it to 5? Ridiculous damage and dying. Blizzard thinks by shoving a patch at us with a new slider bar that this will make people feel better about the game. My thoughts were around level 5 is where inferno should be. I have the full immortal set from my Barb and was still having way to much difficulty staying alive. This is some of the best gear you can get for your barb and you canít stay alive.

Everyone will be again complaining about not being able to beat the game on the highest level. This will all fall apart again and end up just like it was when the game was released and how no one is able to beat level 10.

One new thing they added are the Key Wardens. There are three of them, in the first three acts. You have to get all three keys in order to open the special Hard Boss that has a chance to drop really good loot and a book for crafting the Hellfire ring that is a very impressive ring that you can make.

I see good in this patch, but I also see the bad too. Loot drops for the most part too were mostly level 60 to 63 rares. That was good to see too. Time will tell if the patch works out for the better but I think Blizz missed the boat and many donít car anymore.

As I said before I think they're just complaining instead of trying to solve their own problem. These are people who probably had no issues with farming for items for days in Diablo but they complain like BL2 should just hand them shit. Other than the perspective it's still technically an ARPG and should play the same way. I didn't always have the best weapons in Diablo and could obliterate everything, sometimes you had to work harder.

Well the problem here is my first run through I did all quests and was therefore overleveled for most of the game. It doesn't matter what gun you have when enemies are 3-5 levels beneath you.

My second class I tried to stick to the main quest as much as possible and found myself routinely underleveled/underequipped.

Same I guess, we never skipped a quest so we were always overleveled. So that definitely helps.

Try playing Vault Hunter mode after you beat the game, trust me you will be singing a different tone. You will not be over leveled. Everything hits a lot harder and is more difficult. I never out leveled an area and we did most of the side quest. Also, this game auto levels many of the areas after the starter areas. So itís kind of impossible to be out leveled in most areas.

More importantly, if this DLC is out today, why can I not find a quest to start it or a zone to teleport to in the quick travel list to begin it like the old DLC's in BL1. Is this due to Steams retarded updating schedual?

Cant verify this yet because Iím at work, but I suspect its the 10am released date thatís holding up the release. Also try re-verifying your files. That might initiate the update.

I would not trust GMG, many banks, including mine, have them listed under fraudulent websites.

I've used them at least 5-6 times over the past year (SR3, Dishonored, BL2, BL2 season pass, DX:HR, Sleeping Dogs, off the top of my head) and never had an issue. A lot of folks here use them, and I don't recall anyone saying they've had fraud.

Same here, I have never had any issues with them or any fraudulent changes against my account. I trust them and have used them over the past two years. If there are reports I would suspect some people saying that crap just to get a refund on a game they didnít like, so then a bank would list them as suspect.

Whereís the Sarlack Pit and the Rancor?

Actually this add-on looks pretty kewl. I was getting a feeling that Gearbox was taking some crack pot shots at Rage with the way some of those environments looked.

Yes, Rage should have had Coop that would have made the game much better. Take a few lessons from GB ID.

BTW, Greenman Gaming has Borderlands two on sale if you use this Voucher Code. 25 percent off untill the 19th. that makes the season pass 24 dollars.

I might pick this up, dunno. There's Treasure! Yeah, it'll be a chest that drops four shitty-ass green weapons.

Amen brother, so tired of getting shitty drops in that game. After 70 hours I've seen 3 legendaries and 2 of them weren't even very good. Maybe a dozen purples, half of them total garbage because of that multi-barrel nonsense or some other stupid modifier. The loot was the one thing they did pretty well in the original, not sure how they messed it up so much this time. Give me 87,000 unique and useful guns instead of 87 bazillion pieces of shit that I need to farm hours on end for.

Havenít you heard? Theyíve been taking lessons from Blizzards Diablo 3 shit loot drops. Grind, grind, grind and keep on grinding. Iíve had a few really good drops. I found the Mine Craft Shotgun and used it all the way till the end of the game. Best shotgun I had ever seen. Had a Few other drops to but nothing you can really get excited about. My best drops came from the Gold chest. Got several keys from pitchoford. Got some really nice weapons out of that chest.

Don't get me wrong, I've been playing since before Wing Commander (though WC was one of the first games I played on a 'modern' PC - in 1992), and I love Privateer and Starlancer AND Freelancer (Starlancer never gets any love! I think it was almost as good as Freespace...seriously!) But one thing bothers the hell out of me when Chris speaks of doing a single player sim and then some kind of multiplayer/MMO -type of thing...he's said it before. When? Freelancer. In the run up to it's release I read preview after preview that touted it's grand single-player with dedicated servers for multi, which is fine. But then he swore that after Freelancers release, say a year or so out, he would release an MMO version of it. In fact, he said the the 'first' single-player release was to be a 'dry run' to work out all the kinks and bugs with the game and then they would put a new version out as an MMO...Of course, it obviously never happened. Freelancer released and I swear the day it went out, he closed up shop and disappeared. I'm not even sure if they released any patches for it. (They probably did, I stopped playing pretty quickly after release) But you never heard another peep out of him about it...

Now here he is trying to wow us again with a suitably impressive demonstration of a new game. But his plans for it are so strikingly similar to Freelancer that I have to sit back and say, 'Nope. I not falling for it again!' I'll wait and see. I'll watch, be sure. And yes, despite my wariness, I AM excited. I just really hope he pulls thru with this one. If anything, I wish he'd be trying to bring Freelancer back, maybe update it and put out the first MMO he said he would ten years ago...

EDIT: I'm with Cutter on this one, gents. I'll watch and wait. X: Rebirth will be coming along soon with a veteran crew at the helm and a seasoned game infrastructure to use...

=-Rigs-=

They are valid points, but most of Freelancer's bullshit happened because of publisher pressure, or at least so it appeared. When he was with a dev (and back then a publisher) who left him alone, he made Wing Commander and Privateer. When he had to work under publishers who were continuously pushing for shit, he made WC Prophecy and Freelancer.

And Freelancer really isn't a bad game, but it fell far far far far far short of what he promised.

This time he hopefully won't have a traditional publisher to jerk him around and he and his team can make the game they want to make.

I'm a bit worried that he's not using Kickstarter though. I understand that 7% of your total haul is a lot of money (KS fees plus Amazon fees), but who's to say he won't just cash in my donation even if it doesn't fund, and then blows it on hookers? A little checkmark that says you can get a refund doesn't make me feel any less wary.

Creston

First off, you guys really need to know the background on Freelancer and why it was never really finished before you go bashing Chris. You can blame Microsoft for that one. They pushed this game right out the door before it was finished, that was when Chris said the hell with this and left the industry. Donít believe me ask him yourself. I know the guy personally and got all the low down on this one back in the day.

He had so many plans and ideas for Freelancer to make it something that had never been seen or done before but Good ole Microsoft just had to have this game out the door making money. This was a primary reason that Capitalships never made it into the final game; they were not finished in time.

Erin, Chrisís brother ended up taking over the project and released it as it was. But this was far from what Chris envisioned or wanted the game to be and the state it was released in.

Yeah, that's something else that sort of bothers me about this. That's pretty cheap just because he doesn't want to give up a few points in donations - and losing a ton of exposure in the bargain. Bad move IMO. And something else about accountability nags at me with all of this. So there will be a playable version next year, but the game really won't be complete for several years? And it sounds more like an MMO than SP with MP component. Hrm, I dunno. Just doesn't quite add up. I think my focus is going to remain on X-Rebith for now.

Whatís there not to like Cutter? Stop being an ass, thereís a check mark to get a refund if the game doesnít fund so whatís there to complain about? Oh wait that the norm for you isnít? No one makes Space Sims as good as Chris Roberts, even your X-Rebith canít compete.
