You guys who insist that if we are unhappy about this then it means we must have crappy internet connections are basically trolling. You know damn well that there is a pervasive fundamental objection to be required to be online for a singleplayer game on the part of many gamers.

My connection is 100% stable, but that is entirely besides the point. Even with a stable connection on my side, I can't speak for Bnet. All I know is that I got tired of losing connection to Bnet servers, sometimes twice a mission in SC2, so I only play offline.

Got a question for ya? Seeing how you think that connection of yours is very stable, how do you account for other routers and gateways that might have interruptions and possibly causes your connection to drop? Plus, I want to know what happens if you’re playing Coop and someone’s connection drops. Either by lag or the so called unexpected interruptions that do happen. Is their drop in drop out coop? If not this is going to be a very big issue with many players.

Great, with the AH they have now opened the door to every low life scumbag gold farmer in the world. And have now succeeded in turning the game into their next MMO.

Funny how the Ubishit rep doesn’t mention anything about the reduction in sales too.

And we all know there has been. They are just trying to cover it up and justify their DRM. Screw Ubi and their DRM. I haven’t bought any of their titles since they started this bullshit, and I’ll continue to do so.

Yep, sometimes all it takes is some solid combat gameplay to be fun. Borderlands lacked in many areas, but the gunplay was good.

Rage looks great. Despite all the hate on Doom 3, I still enjoyed it immensely and have played it through 2.5 times (1.5 times with mods).

Out of curiosity, what mods did you use with Doom 3?

Creston

Creston, I made a mod for Doom 3 Coop. it was pretty hard. I made all of the creatures a lot tougher. An Imp for instance with a shotgun would take three to four hits to take them down. Made a bunch of other changes too. I never released it to the masses. it was more of a personal mod for me and the friends at LAN sessions. But you can have it if you like.

I hope you realize the last games using this drm weren't cracked at all, like hawk2. Crackers were unable to crack it. Waiting to read what excuse you'll use for giving ubisoft the ok so that they can keep escalating this drm. And considering gamers have no other form of protest other than not buying a game I realize many gamers are fucking spineless, too emotionally attached to a fuking game and blind to the fact some publishers are fucking them in the ass. But who cares as long as you can play the next shiny thing, right?

So because I don't prescribe to your specific set of ideals, I therefore must enjoy "getting fucked in the ass" by Ubisoft? Oh and on top of that, you extrapolated that I'm a drooling retard that wants shiny things and has no power to reason beyond that. Alrighty then... And you're still going to insist that you aren't too emotionally invested in this? Rolleyes

I played AC2 on a computer that had no internet connection for a while, trouble-free. I had a great time, and will cherish it as one of the best modern gaming experiences I've had in a long while. If this is getting ass-fucked, I guess I like it.

Hawx 2 WILL get cracked if it hasn't already; I don't really know because it was not high on my list. Which, incidentally is probably why it's crack took longer - it's kinda low on everyone's list. The uncrackable DRM does not exist. It may take weeks, months, or even a year in the case of SC Chaos Theory, but I can wait.

HAWX 2 sucked, no one cared to crack that game. and yes it has a much harder DRM to crack, but again the game is horrid and no one really careded to try and crack it.

Who was buying Driver: San Francisco in the first place though? This is one of those franchises that sells the majority of its copies based on the name and boxart at Wal-Mart.

Not me, I had no interest at all in this game. And always on = never buy. Dumbass developers!! Hope they enjoy the lost sales.

I might have to agree, I’m very skeptical about this being a Pirate themed game. I would rather they stick to what worked in the past and go with a more fantasy themed game with lots of dungeons and creatures. I always hate the NPC garbage and drama that goes with them.

And when people post about craving innovation and being bored of modern military shooters and Tolkien-esque fantasy, you are the gamer I mention. The gamer who wants the same fantasy setting over and over and over again.

I mean christ, pirates isn't unique either, but at least it's not knights and castles again for fuck's sake.

News flash for you Velvet, there is nothing new or innovative anymore. it’s all been there and done that already. Everything is a rehash of something so get used to it or fucking quit playing games.

Either way, stops your fricking whining already.

I downloaded this game about six months ago on a whim, based on the fact that PC Gamer gave it Game of the Year honors. At first I didn't think much, but after awhile it grew on me, and I still play several games a week. It really is a fantastic game, simultaneously rewards strategy and coordination. Its also a perfect game for short play sessions, 3 vs 3s last 30 minutes on average. If you're even remotely curious I would encourage you to check it out.

*the guy complaining about clicking probably didn't like Diablo, Starcraft, or any other number of games either*

Sorry, but Diablo or Star Craft never required you to click the mouse rapidly in succession over and over. And please, don’t assume you know me or what I’ve played, because you don’t!

Anyone ever notice that Bioware for some odd reason has something against their female characters having long hair? Dragon Age, not one playable char has long hair to choose from, Mass Effect games. None there either. I would mention one of their game but I can’t right now because of NDA.

I got a chance to check out Ghost Recon Online while at E3. All I can say is stay away from this utter crap of a game. Its nothing but run around and kill each other. No story at all. The Graphics were very bland and dated.

Yes how terrible of us to assume your vague language had anything to do with the topic Rolleyes

This is kind of an odd move...Mass Effect 3 is the type of game that does not need a demo.

The Mass Effect games are not blockbuster franchise sellers or something, I don't know why people keep saying this. It makes perfect sense to put out a demo for your game, particularly the way they like to do it after the game has been released so it gets people on the fence who haven't bought the game yet.

Yea, far be it for you to ever act civil right Veron? Rolleyes

That's my bad, I just assumed "this game" meant the game we were talking about in the topic, not Witcher 2. Regardless Joe's point is spot on, demos serve a different purpose to many people but are definitely "necessary" at times even if it is the worlds greatest gaming franchise evar or whatever.

Hopefully there will be a PC demo and BEFORE release. I'm looking at you Witcher 2. <taps foot still waiting>

Do you seriously need to play a demo first of this game to actually know that this is a great game? No demo is required to know that this game kicks butt and is worth every penny, and btw, this game is on sale for the next 2 hrs too.
