And this is why we get a shitty UI.

/mods already in the work.

Creston

Once I fixed the mouse sensitivity problems I didn't really mind the UI. There's a bit too much scrolling but the sub-categories take care of that for the most part. Then again I actually use my houses for storage and don't walk around like a mobile armory so *shrug*

I keep TRYING not to, but then I stumble on another bandit camp, and five minutes later I'm loaded with all kinds of loot again.

Btw, I HATE that they did loot the exact same way as in Oblivion. It's horseshit. Yes, the bandits aren't walking around in Daedric armor, but even so, it's fucking stupid that you can't find any decent loot when you're low level. Isn't that the whole POINT of exploring? That when I find a chest guarded by a puzzle and a Master lock, I get something decent when I open it? Rather than 14 fucking gold and a potion of fucking Stamina???

I recently found an underwater ruin where there was a glass mace lying on a table. Sweet! So with my Orc warrior playthrough, I run there to go pick up my sweet weapon. Yeah. For my Orc, the mace was Iron.

Actually, ALL of the loot feels pretty shitty. They're obviously using a Diablo like system, where you have a main range of items, and then you can have a few modifiers to it, so an Iron Mace can be a Hallowed Iron Mace of Fire, for example.

Except that in Skyrim, the modifiers are mostly shitty, and there seems to be maybe a dozen of them, and that's it. I can't even fucking count the amount of weapons I've found that "make undead flee."

Is there really NOBODY at Bethesda who understands that part of the fun in a big open-world RPG is going into a very dangerous area, and managing to sneak out with a Daedric weapon, or piece of armor? They fucking knew this in Morrowind?!

I guess we'll have to wait for Oscuro's successor to fix that.

Creston

Your choice if you want to use this or not. but you can use this code to increase your weight limit that you can carry. This code will add to your existing weight. So if your carrying 300 now and add another 2300 with the code you get 600.

player.modav carryweight xxx Use to set the weight you can carry

PC Gamer says:

While only 14% of those copies sold were on PC, those figures don’t include digital download numbers, which are sure to be substantial considering the enormous numbers of people playing Skyrim on Steam.

I'm surprised it's as high as 476K units sold on the PC if this doesn't include digital downloads. Does anyone know what percent of PC game sales are digital? Can anyone even make an educated guess? I would have thought it would be several times the number who buy physical copies, but that guess isn't even educated.

I think Skyrim requires Steam, so even people who did buy physical copies will show up on Steam's stats.

I think we can guess that Steam sold well over 300 Thousand units, the other day they posted a record of 231,593 concurrent users on Steam for Skyrim. So i would imagine that they sold around that amount if not more.

Ugh, Bethsoft as usual. All you need to know from the gamespy review...

I like the storylines in these things well enough, but I have the attention span of a coked up ferret

and

I was less than jazzed with how Skyrim handled the PC interface. I like the idea of the Favorites system, but would have preferred to be able to assign specific weapons to the number keys or to generally have a different item interface instead of scrolling through rows of item names -- if you're going to make the game for PC, you might as well find more ways to take advantage of the hardware than simply tightening up the graphics. The interface works really well if you have a gamepad but I felt it was rather cumbersome with the mouse and keyboard.

This shit pisses me off to no end. They're going to make how many millions from PC gamers and they can't assign a guy or two to make a PC UI? Oh right, that's the community's job. Silly me.

Anyway, it's finally up for sale on Green Man for $53 and it's a Steam key. I think I'm going to wait a few more hours to see if they have their typical weekend sale and save another 15 or 20 points.

Pisses me off to, now it’s going to be up to the Mod community to make a proper UI for the game. I can’t understand why Bethesda chooses to not implement a proper PC UI. That’s unforgivable!

And you guys wonder why developers shun PC gaming.

Yeah because PC gaming is the only industry affected by piracy, obviously Rolleyes

LOL, agreed. I love how when it comes to pirating and games the PC seems to be the only scape goat.

Does this writer actually believe SW:TOR is going to bring anything new to the table besides a multi-million dollar voice acting budget? Dubious.

Actually yes they will. The game is fun and alive. The latest beta build is looking really nice and there is still a lot more changes to come before release. You’re diluted if you think otherwise.

WOW, I stopped playing that game about a year ago. Glad I stopped. It got to the point where all it became was an endless cycle of changing out Tier gear. Now they are changing the talents again, I told my Son who didn’t believe me that Blizz is slowly digging a grave with every stupid change they add. Looks like I’m right, users are beginning to leave wow in groves.

People are lining up waiting for SWTOR. only 30 days more to go.

And we all know how good Darks is at calling winners.

First off Mag, you don’t know me or anything about me. So don’t talk about me as if you know what I know or what I do. Because you don’t!

The press has not been kind to this game and its not doing well on forums either judging by some of the big sites, I think I'll steer clear. It sounds very repetitive and simplistic, the flaws in the character choice and level system don't sound too fun either.

There’s that word I hate again in games. Repetitive. Tell me something Verno, when you were playing Dark souls and Orcs, how many times did you kill the same shit over and over? That’s not repetitive? You guys kill me when I hear you all complaining about Repetitive and simplistic. Gaming in itself is that in a word.

Your loss, but it is a fun game.

I don’t understand why there’s any negativity about this game. I’ve been playing it Coop with my Son and we have been having a blast with this game. This game can get very brutal at times. And the game scales in difficulty the more people that join in. I played one area myself at the start and then with my Son Coop and there was about 2 times more enemies tossed at us of goblins crawling out of the ground and scaling walls. It was pretty cool to see.

The game feels so much like your actually playing in the movies. There is defiantly nothing cheap or trashy about this game. Coop in my opinion is really the only way to play the game, but the AI does a pretty good job fighting alongside you. If you die, you will be down on one knee and are still able to move very slowly over to allies so they can rez you back up.

Anyway, the game has been very enjoyable. I think any fan of the movies will really enjoy this game.

You would be wrong, this game doesn’t even come near to what a Mod would be, The game is top quality. And this game depicts the LOTR universe better than any game I have ever played.

Reviews are pretty meh atm which is why I decided to hold off. Repetitive and very short is what I'm seeing.

Far from Short, and someone really needs to explain to me what the term repetitive really means, especially when it comes to gaming. Because lets face it. every fricking thing in any game you do is repetitive in some way or another. Whether it is endless killing of Zombies or hacking and slashing your way through hordes of Orcs and Goblins.

That term should never have any meaning in a game. because in the end all games are repetitive.

This game is by no means short. Cutter, you’ve been playing Call of Duty or Battle Field far too long to stero type this game as short. It’s well over 15 to 20 hours long depending on pace and how much you explore.

I’ve been enjoying this game immensely, it’s fun, and it’s got 3 players Coop which is a lot of fun playing with others. The fights are brutal and chaotic.

I played through the first area, Fornost, it took just over 4 hours to get through that area. But it’s been a lot of fun so far. The item drops are nice and the variation of loot has been good. All the items so far have been nicely details and designed. Snowblind did a really nice job on this game. the game is linear but I don’t mind that in games like this. it’s the game play and story is what i like with the Added Coop that makes this game so much more enjoyable.

Anyway, this is a good game defiantly worth picking up.

It’s on sale on this site I got mine for 43 dollars.
