This is really not surprising news about the low sales. Not everyone is looking to play a stealth game about sneaking around to survive.

I prefer running around with hundreds on the screen and laying waste to them. I'm pretty sure many other Aliens fans were looking for that type of game too.

My thoughts exactly, although I'm sure Ironclad was less than ecstatic about their Sins of a Solar Empire sales.

That's because sins was overall an unfinished game. It tried to merge RTS with 4x. The combat was just fucking tedious and the super jacked pirate faction intervening in the game was just a big wtf.

You are clearly clueless when it comes to talking and knowing anything relevant about Sins. The pirates can be turned off dipshit. And the game was completed so I have no fucking clue what you are referring too.

I never heard of these Star Trek adventure games. As a PnC fanatic, and someone who enjoys trek enough, I don't know how I missed them.

Maybe because you were to young?

Klingon Academy was vastly superior as far as gameplay goes.

On the other hand, I'm glad they've included 25th and Judgement to start things off. Those are some excellent games all-around.

Sadly I'm at the point where I think no one knows who owns the rights to KA. I'm just glad I've got a CD copy of the game and it still works so when I get the itch I can play it.

I loved that old game, we used to play the hell out of this at lan parties. I do recall there are updated-versions of this out here that some one modded and has working for the modern day pc. Ill have to do some checking and find those links. Man, this all brings back so many good memories.

Own and played everyone one of these back in the day. Still have all the original boxes. and I have the Collectors edition that came with the VHS Video tape. Cant recall the actual Episode...

I used to live very close to Interplay back in the day and knew a few of the guys who worked there. They used to tell me Shatner was such and ass when he came in to do his lines. He would just blurt out his lines without any emotions they said.

Anyway, I'm wondering what my old box version might be worth these days. never opened or played that video. Everything is still in pristine condition.

Now that's some old nostalgia.

Is this considered a paid mod?

Yup. There are those who remember their previous pledge to never charge for it...

I haven't kept track of its development over the years, though I've always presumed or gotten the impression that many people contributed over the years, coming and going, and no longer present.

I'd say it's past the point of "slippery slope" if they intend to profit off those past contributors work without paying them. Also if those contributors did the work at a time when they were pledging "to never charge for it" there may even be legal issues on top of the ethical, or lack there of.

Oh, this gets even better. two of the more and interting levels in the game have been cut.

On a Rail and Surface Tensions. Just lame as hell. The guy who originally created those levels had them pulled from the game because he said he was not happy with the quality of those levels.

http://steamcommunity.com/app/362890/discussions/0/620712999965314909/

I played the original mod, those levels were in there and seemed fine to me. He did point out that those missing levels will be in the workshop. but still to have those levels missing from the campaign just feels wrong.

I will also be waiting on a five dollar sale for this. Wont be paying these guys for a modded version of the game that they said would never be charged for.

Hearing good things about the gameplay, so far...

One person said 6-ish hours.

I was about to post that question on the length. seems a bit short for a 40 gig install. I hope he rushed it and its actually around 8-itsh.

What really was appealing to me on this one was that they went back to the castle. I really liked that about the first game.

Thanks nin!

Are they putting in the original game in this release too? The original game was 40 GB. that's a lot of data for a supposed add-on.

Could work, useful for games that use Steamworks.

I can't wait until it's abused by one of the fly by night devs who do dcma takedowns on reviews that don't flatter them.

Oh, it will happen, there are far to many ego maniac devs out there that have no self control when it comes to this kind of power. There are going to be all kinds of disrupts over this. wait and see.

7. Re: Diablo III Blood Shard Bans Apr 25, 2015, 15:22 Darks

I'm sorry, but any exploit in any game that is the developers fault should never get anyone banned even if they are exploiting. Blizz knew about it and did nothing to fix it until it got out of hand.

You cant fault someone who is only using the game, if a goblin is dropping Blood Shards at a crazy rate, then blizz should have hot fixed it on the spot and not a week later.

Blues, I'm not sure if your card qualifies or not, but I read last week that it was either Nvidia or EVGA, cant recall now. was giving away free backplates for those who bought a new GTX 970 card. Might want to do some checking. Those backplates are awesome to have on your card.

Sorry Blues, it was EVGA.

Anyone know if the fighting system will be improved from Witcher 2? I thought Witcher 2 looked great but played like shit. Kind of wish they'd just copy something like Dark Souls if they want something slower or basically any other 3rd person game (Batman, AC, GOW, DMC, etc...) if they want something faster. The weird "my enemy is at 2 o'clock so i'm going to do an awkward 360 spin move that will get you killed strike" wasn't that appealing to me.

Well, to each their own I guess because I actually liked the Combat in Witcher 2 but totally despised how Witcher 1 Combat worked.

And quit frankly Dark Souls combat and camera sucked. You guys are to in tuned with Console game play. I like a Third person Camera that is locked right behind the character and sitting just above the shoulder. Much like an MMO style camera.

Having a camera that moves around just kills the experience. I cant stand having a camera that moves around when you are trying to run and the next thing you get is the camera in your face like you are running towards it. just a horrible way to try and play any game.

you just described WOW.

Yes, I know. Blizzard has cornered the market for stupid, gimmicky MMOs. They even corrupted their Diablo franchise with retarded wow-like game mechanics as well as the story/art style. Really sad stuff.

I know what you mean dude. I cant stand the constant Grind in D3.

Also, the re-rolling of gear to try and get the perfect stat on a piece of gear is beyond ass stupid.
