Its the queue problems that are causing the launcher to have issues. most of those have been resolved now. they are adding more server this morning. they had more people jumping on then they anticipated so the queue times got really large.
So some of you don't like the game, that fine. but remember this to those who are still wanting to check it out. its all personal preference. Its a free game, and those who are trying to make it out to be a pay to play are just being dumb.
First off how do you think this free to play game will survive and have added content if they are not making some kind of income?
I look at it like this, how many here paid for a monthly subscription on a MMO in the past or currently? then take that money and add it up for however many months you paid for that game.
So now you are playing the game and say you need a little more space, and spend 10 dollars for some Zen and buy a 24 slot bag. what is the difference here compared to other MMOs that charge you monthly?
Funny, how one guy here compares this to trying to be like GW2. sorry, but this game is nothing like it especially the combat. in fact the combat in this game is a hell of a lot more fun. Also why is it that no one here brought up the fact that GW2 does the exact same thing that this game is when it comes to buying items? If you need extra space GW2 also charges you for bags too. Crafting in NWO has bags that can be made. So there's no difference.

It's only saving grace, and the only real reason to play the game, "The Foundry" isn't even implemented yet.
For those who haven't read a damn thing about the game, "The Foundry" is an editing tool that will allow DM's to create their own dungeons and story's for other people to play through.
That is the only thing I can see giving this game any longevity and it's not even ready yet.
You need to crawl out from under your rock, the foundry has been working for the past few betas. and mediocre at best? okay, you defiantly need to crawl out from under that rock you've been hiding under. |

Can you show me one game that every single person loves? Not on Blues in general I mean. I live for a good RTS game, I loved Act of War, that was a really good game. Many people screamed to these guys to please make a patch to fix the Win 7 x64 issues. That fell on deft ears.
RUSE was a lot of fun, was something complete different from most RTS games. Had a lot of fun with this game.
So, one of my favorite developers comes around and make EE. I though hey, awesome a modern day RTS game. But, we were left with no base building, yes I know it’s not but that does not mean it makes it better. So they implement a buy what you think you will need system. Then make you level up to try and get better units. And on top of that use a supply system that to me is a little flaky because supplies drain incredibly fast. A little too fast. You end up with worrying about supplies rather than playing a good strategy game. I hat micromanaged games, and having supplies in this game is what you get.
Many of my friends who also bought his found it to be too hindered by many of those aspects. Yes, some people live for this type of system. I’m not one of them. |

you know that is or was on GMG for 4 dollars with the voucher code.
Yep still is. GMG20-GGN5D-FC3NA

That, and the fact that no one likes to use Origin to play their games through. If they get rid of Origin, go back to using steam and stop being douche bags, and then they might save themselves. But otherwise their done. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’ve been boycotting them since they boycotted steam. I haven’t bought one of their games since. |

| I watched the video of this last night. I saw their new game pop up on steam and thought oh, and new RPG I missed. Then I saw that lame ass video and then saw the comments about buying the game for 39.99 and then pay 15 dollars a month to play it. I went, screw that shit, NWO just came out, why I would pay for this shit when NWO is free and looks way better. |

| Same as the original, I love this developer; they made RUSE and Act of War which in my RTS book are some of the best RTS games out there, but this one. bad camera angles and you feel like you’re playing with a bunch of micro miniature units. Don’t care for that feel at all. Plus there’s no base building. Supplies run to way to fast. You can’t build new FOBs to try and speed up the Conquering process; you have to run back and forth to the original ones you placed. The list goes on and on. |

At the time, it was very annoying to not be able to play with friends and I pretty much stopped playing at that point. I also don't remember getting any new updates for the original DI so I'm not sure if that was ever fixed. There were a lot of threads about this issue with no replies from the developer. It's a shame because the game seemed like it was fun but just the general bugginess of the game stopped me from playing after a while. Yes, Coop was fixed, played all the way thru it with a friend. Been playing this one too. I like many of the new fixes and changes to the UI. It feels a lot smoother now. And you can fricking wheel mouse to change weapons now. Game looks great too. and plays the same as before. But the guns now feel like they have more hitting power. Took down a Thug with no problem at all with an AK. |

I would expect them to be working on a new IP. I would love to see them make a Terminator game with the Skyrim Engine. That would be killer to have a Hugh open world with Terminators running around all over and trying to survive. |

Well, on one hand, I could see some of the "dumbed down" people arguing that they shouldn't have to make this choice and should be able to just mow their way into Columbia.
But that ruins all the story, all the prologue, goes against anything your character would do because at this point he isn't expecting violence and isn't the one that starts the violence, and your character isn't happy about the baptism, either.
Plus, who cares? People can dunk me in the water, that doesn't mean anything about me has changed (which may be a theme...)
Maybe the issue is that the guy in the story is too stupid to understand that not every game is a role playing game. In some games you play a role. In some games you control one aspect of an already defined character on an already defined path. You aren't Booker DeWitte, you're someone looking through Booker DeWitte's eyes. While, I agree choice would have been nice. But on the other hand this guy is a total looser at the same time. He complains about a moral choice about being baptized, but he was perfectly willing to run around Columbia killing people.
Now someone explain to me how there’s much of a difference in that? in fact, I would argue that it’s even more damaging as a Christian to kill then to be baptized. At least being baptized you are being washed of your sins. Unlike killing someone. |

This is the part of the haters' argument I just don't understand. I had zero issues with this game other than the crappy resolution, which was fixed by a user mod. Once the mod was in place the game looked great and ran great. I put 150 hours into this game and it never crashed on me once. I can't think of any real glitches during gameplay either. It just worked fine. How is it that other people had such a completely opposite experience? Mods may have fixed issues with this game, but mods should never, ever be a final solution that makes the game better.

You're also the guy who thinks the ArmA series is complete crap. Funny one of the most PC centric games out there gets ragged on by you.
I think with you it boils down to, "Game complicated. Can't make work. Dumb game.".
Ironically you sound more like the target audience for console gamers.
'Nuff of this no where debate for me. Yep, you’re right; I own both of their games. I even bought the new ARMA 3 because I got a really great deal on it. I love military shooters in general.
Honestly dude I really, really tried to like that game but it was so damn buggy, scripts failing to execute. Missions broken. The player movement feels like crap. And don’t tell me it’s not. Even the new ARMA 3 has fixed many of those issues because of the complaints. Yea, it does have a big following, but that is mainly because of the new zombie mod that’s out for it. Otherwise the game would not be as popular as it is now.
I’m, giving ARMA 3 a chance but only time will tell if they get it right this time around. |

Verno wrote on Apr 12, 2013, 16:00: Things aren't going well for you here Darks, maybe take a step back for a moment and get some perspective. I understand you really liked A:CM and were upset that most of the general press/public didn't but that's life. I've held minority opinions before too and get it. It's not really a comparable situation to this game though. Most people who liked it have been pretty up front about its faults so I don't really get your complaints. Worse, insisting that everyone plays games the same way you do is juvenile and not going to get you anywhere, it's also against the open/customizable spirit of PC gaming in general.
Getting angry and just lashing out at people (even if provoked) just nullifies any legitimate point you're trying to make too.
Incidentally if you actually wanted to play it with a KB/M, there are some fixes for it. If not, fair enough. Seriously Verno, Where did I ever tell anyone that they needed to play a game like I wanted them too? I never once said that, if you all assumed it then that’s your misjudgment. If you all don’t like how I come across on defending a game they sorry, but that’s how I feel. I stand, by my comments and will keep on doing so.
I made it pretty clear that I don’t care for developers trying to turn the pc into a console but you all seem to think that fine and dandy. So in the end, you get what you all expected then, some dumbed down ported over game. I’m a pc extremist. I wholeheartedly stand by the pc and feel that the pc should never be turned into a raging console. When someone comes here and tells you use a controller to play it, that’s when I get pissed off.
You’re trying telling me that I’m telling people how to play their games yet, you all except dumbed down pc games that almost require a controller to play them with. And you feel that’s okay? |
