That's weird. So 3 players can play against the AI, but not 2?

I'm not sure about a third needing to be in the game yet. but im betting that the answer is yes.

So has anyone actually watched the movie?

Please no spoilers, but is it any good? For reference I thought that Cloverfield was a piece of shit film and hoped throughout the entire movie that the monster would excrete and set off a giant nuclear device so that everyone could be put out of their misery...The Godzilla '98 with Ferris Bueller was okish although the intro and the interveiw wih the japanese sailor: Gojira, Gojira....was the highlight of that particular movie, its kind of downhill from there...

I saw it and loved it, although they could have done a few things differently to make it even better it was still a very good movie. So, itís worth seeing and you wont be disapointed. They are already planning the sequel.

If this is true and if. Then it only means that Rock Star does not have anything new to release and they need income. Because I don't see how they would release this game any other way. Especially after 4 years.

Nobody in the community is calling it a WoW killer.. nobody who is worth listening to is that dumb. It will be a better raiding game for hardcore players who want a challenge, that I will say for sure. In fact, Blizzard already came out and tried to mention how their raids are more accessible, for everyone.. etc. I saw a link the other day.. can't cite at the moment.

Game will sell well..I suppose. I don't know enough there.

I suppose, like most MMOs/big games, there will be issues at launch. I have seen the devs quickly address game-breaking issues in beta though.

The only people I see turning against the game are those that can't get into a raiding guild and do raid content. However, those people won't be level 50 in a month anyhow. Then.. when they hit level 50, if they complain, these are the EXACT people that I've seen in every other MMO who come back with this total absolute horse shit:
- I shouldnt have to play with others to see all content (forgetting how MMOs work)
- Guilds all have issues (right, it's EVERY guild and not you? it's you)
- i hate playing with others ..you should change the game to what I want. (go play a SPRPG)
- why do they have to make the content so hard (you knew that going into the game)
Every reason the complainers have will be garbage, selfish, narrow-minded useless complaints. absolutely rebutted by the community.. and the devs alike.

In fact, someone tweeted the lead dev about lowering the difficulty in the dungeons.. to which his one word reply was "no". This dev house is aiming for a certain harder core demographic at end game. Is it enough to sustain the game for years? Nobody knows yet.. but they're gonna try.

If someone is an MMO gamer (WoW, GW2, Rift, ESO, whatever else).. and wants to play something better.. I'd suggest WS.

EDIT----
Open beta launch trailer.. yes!

Colorado, Let me let you in on a little secret and the rest of those so called Hard Core Raiders. Sure, the game will do well in its first 3 or 4 months. But in the end it will lend up just like WOW. There will be so many complaints about how hard the Boss fights are and the Raids requiring 40 people that in the end, the developers will have no choice but to change this and bring the game to the entire audience. This is what happened to WOW and why WOW made the changes they did.

You cannot cater an MMO to just the Hard core Raiders, because you are cutting your own throat in the end. Most will end up leaving the game and all that will be left is the Hard Core gamers. And that will not be enough to save this game from its own short sightedness. If they donít have enough people subscribing then they are dead in the water. And so will your 40 man raids.

Blizzard saw this coming and what was happening to the game that is why they changed the game into what it is today. MMOs whether you think so or not are not made for just the Hard Core games. You need to make a game where all can play and enjoy it. If they donít, good luck trying to keep this game a float.

Trust me, thereís really nothing to get excited about in this beta. I tried it and I just could not get into it. It felt too much like WOW and at the same time like I was playing some toon land kiddie game.

So, I played this this past weekend and what a piece of shit game this is. Its fricking WOW in space for kiddies.

Warning: It's not really a good game for kiddies, they are focusing on group content, are bringing back 40-man raids, even a couple things that'll take more than a 40-man raid group to complete, supposedly.

I was one of those who played WOW for many years, was in a very good guild and Raided all the time. I can tell you this now. 40 man raids Fuck that! Do you have any idea what itís like to try and get 40 people together at one time? Itís nearly impossible. You end up pugging it because you canít find everyone. And itís so fricking chaotic during battle and trying to coordinate everyone.

That is why WOW slimmed down the Raids to that they are now to make them manageable. Good luck with your 40 man Raids. Because that shit wonít last long you can bank on that.

Should I have complained about the NWN vault hosting your mod back in the day because the site was cluttered with 'pre-alpha' releases and hopelessly broken / never-finished mods? Seems a lot of people were willing to vote for those shit mods to keep them on the front page. (Also, thanks for that mod, it was great fun back then).

If Steam actively policed their store then people would complain about the lack of variety and the hurdles independent developers face when trying to bring a product to market. I really don't think it's Steam's responsibility to force customers to make wiser spending decisions.

I think the fact that Steam is willing to police, remove, and refund potentially fraudulent products once they've been identified by the community while keeping the platform relatively open is still the best approach.

Excuse me but thereís a Hugh difference when it comes to free and people spending their money on something. You canít even compare both. So your point is invalid.

Beamer, I understand what you are saying, but the problem is, early access does not and will not give refunds. Unless something of this nature happens. In most cases the customers is screwed over by lame cheaply made games that they are trying to paint this pretty picture about how great their game is when in fact its total shit.

In fact, I would stack my mod up against most of those Indie games any day of the week. And Iíll bet you now that my mod is better. And itís free.

They also forgot to mention Free 2 Play transitioning. You know it's coming.

Give them time. It just launched. They still haven't even gone the route of "play to level X for free!" yet. It takes time for the corporate shills to realize this won't be the cash cow they thought it would.

Damn shame their idiot marketing department decided to advertise ESO as the "Skyrim MMO" because it isn't even a single candle to that roaring forest fire of a claim.

I seriously donít know what you are referring to when you make that statement, because ESO feels a lot like Skyrim in many ways. So you are either trolling or havenít played the game very much. Iíve finished the Daggerfall side of the game. And I can assure you that ESO is every bit like Skyrim. Yes fundamentally there are many differences but there are still many aspects that are much like Skyrim.

In fact, Id even say that ESO does some things better then Skyrim does. Combat for one to me is much better, and more fun.

I just finished the Daggerfall faction quest line the other day. Loved every bit of it. I wonít give away details on how they give you an option at the end. But it was pretty kewl to keep on progressing after level 50.

BTW, you dont stop leveling after 50, you more to vetern levels after that.

What they fail to mention in the conclusion of the ram article is the decent improvements in load times. 4GBs is fine, but with ram so cheap might as well go 8GBs for another ~$30. I mean for game performance the order is GPU>CPU>SSD>RAM, but if you just want to shorten loading screens or smooth out area transitions (an MMO issue), on the cheap, more ram isn't a bad idea.

That site also fails to talk about games that are in the works or some of the higher end games that do run much better with 8GB or higher of Ram. And future games like Star Citizen will require 8GB and higher of Ram to run.

I personally run 16GB because I know that not only do the games require more ram and run better. The back end system Windows uses a big chunk of ram to. The system will auto allocate ram so many times just because you have 8GB of ram does not always mean the game is using all 8GB of it. Windows will always reserve ram for the system. That is what these guys fail to include In their testing.

And letís not forget that the Video Card plays a big part in this testing too, something they also failed to include in that test. The GPU takes on a big part of those load times and performance.

They are, but even better on PC. Don't let facts get in the way of the hate train, though.

Agreed. PC version or bust for me.

What hate might that be Jacob? If you are referring to the M+K fiasco, then there is good reason for that hate. Because those controls are abysmal, try remapping some of the keys in the game and see what happens. That is what kills be about the game. I specifically use the right side of my keyboard, always have. I cannot stand to use the WASD, I have larger hands and the closeness of those movement key always cause issues for me hitting keys I donít want to. I do not have those issues using the arrow keys.

When you try rebinding those keys, they wonít save. Itís utterly ridiculous that you cannot rebind certain keys in the game.

So yea, a lot of pc gamers are upset.

Lmao... First of all, I have no sympathy for anyone who plays these kinds of games with KBM. I've said it before, Dark Souls, Assassin's Creed, Need For Speed, whatever, you're torturing yourself needlessly with an inherently inferior control scheme for the gameplay style.

Even ignoring that, you're doing it wrong. I've not used arrow keys for movement since the Doom era (I'd say different strokes, but again, you're hampering yourself with a terrible hand position), but just to see for myself I went in-game right now and re-bound it that way. It worked just fine. I even restarted the game to see if it stuck, and it did, so... You'll have to blame user error there. You're probably running into an issue of overlapping keybinds that the game is trying to prevent. If it didn't do that, you'd be complaining about the game firing off spells or moving the camera or whatever when you try to step forward.

I've never said they have the best control scheme, especially not for KBM, but even for that it is serviceable. They actually did a lot to the UI in making it mouse-friendly, including a grid-based inventory and all the rollover selection. You couldn't do that in the last game. This is a gamepad game, and there's nothing wrong with that IMO. Sorry the truth hurts, but you can either suck it up and wrestle with the system they gave you or swallow your misplaced pride and get a damned controller. Believe me, you'll be much happier in playing this and many other games.

First off, fuck you. Okay, we clear now? Secondly do not try to tell me how Iím doing it wrong when the fucking developer stated it very clearly that the preferred hardware is pc. If the developers did not want us to use a mouse and Keyboard then they would not have Implemented the ability to use the mouse and keyboard now would they?

Its fucking dumbasses like yourself that think the fucking world revolves around how you play games. Get a clue asshole, it doesnít nor will it ever. We all have our play styles if that bothers you then tough shit. But do not come in here telling me or any that we are doing it wrong. Fucking moron!!
