Borderlands is one of the few games out these days where the DLC they release is actually NEW additional content in full, not an extra couple of multiplayer levels they stripped out to sell as Zero Day DLC like many other games.

When the DLC is actually like buying an expansion to the game, then its not really part of the whole "DLC scam"

I have no issues buying the games DLC because of this, as I have enjoyed the hell out of both BL1 and BL2. The season pass is an extra 30 bucks up front, but in the long run, it saves me 10 bucks. Unless of course I want to wait a year, and buy it on sale. That could be said about any game. Its borderlands, I know it will be fun, so I dont really care to wait a year to enjoy it.

Sorry, but I would have to disagree with you on some of this. Yes, some of what they did release was new and good. but that was mainly after the Season pass ran out. Or do you not recall the Game hunter DLC Sir Hamerlock they released that was a total POS?

The best DLC they released for the Season was the DnD Tiny Tinas. now that was great. So was the newer Island DLC. but that was not part of the Season pack. So its hit and miss with these guys on what they release that is a viable DLC release.

I love the series, but I'm waiting this time around to see what they do release.

Hey, let's release it on the same day that two of the biggest games of the year (DA:I and FC4) are being released too! I'm sure that'll do wonders for sales!

Deep Silver, you take idiocy to completely new levels. Congratulations.

Totally agree with you dude. This has to be about as dumb gets. Why not release the game 3 weeks later after everyone has had a chance to paly the other game and still cash in on the Christmas releases time frame. this makes no sense at all.

It sounds like they are putting actual effort into it with real dungeon crawls rather than just some dumb survival modes so kudos there.

My friend worked on this game exclusively, he told me that the Coop mode they added is a lot of fun to play. He also told me that there is a separate team working on the PC UI which they have not shown yet. but he said it was very kewl looking. Looking forward to seeing that, hopefully it is good.

Me personally, I'm looking forward to the game. I'm pretty excited about the Coop, that's just an added plus for the game that's already 200 plus hours long. Cant wait!

BTW, there are three Coop Campaigns for the game if you all didn't know that. I'm down for the Blues Group add me when it time.

Seriously they shit on AOE fans with that F2P garbage and now this?

It's business as usual

No kidding, If MS fucking thinks this will get people to buy into Win 8, they got another thought coming. I would install that POS OS on my PC even if I were paid.

But, on the bright side I can see this getting cracked and made so it can be used on Win 7. The Crackers are going to do it just to shit on MS.

Okay, just watched the video, they can keep this POS. This is nothing more then the same BS F2P games that are on the Google Market now. The one were you build up City in the middle of the map and then wall and defense to keep others out of your city.

This is NOT AOE, trust me.

Go look up the game on your phone called Clash of Clans, and a slew of other games just like it.

What an insult to this games legacy.

Blues, you have a type O in your comments about this game requiring an Origin Account. It specifically says one is not required.

Huh? Did you follow the link? There is no way to register for the Alpha unless you join with an Origin account, or create a new one.

This is straight from their page.

Join with EA Origin

This game does not require download of the Origin Client

That to me says, you do not need Origin, only an account to sign up for the Alpha. When it says it does not require a download, that is saying it doesn't require Origin. Is that not how you guys read it?

This game sounds like shit, so you have three others who join you in a game to survive a dungeon or whatever they toss at you while someone else controls and acts as the DM trying to screw you over by spawning creatures and events. I personally don't understand how they thought this old school crap was going to go over well with most people.

So what happens when you cant find a full group? How is it handled for the person who becomes the DM?

I don't this this is going to do well at all...

Blues, you have a type O in your comments about this game requiring an Origin Account. It specifically says one is not required.

That mount will be useless, if its not a flying mount. No one will ever use it. Flying is the only way to travel in the game now. Its going to be interesting to see just how many raids are really put together and how long until no one is able to do the dungeon because of the lack of finding enough people to do 40 mans.

This is why Blizz removed 40 mans to begin with, it was to hard to get 40 people together at one time. I just don't see this working out very well in the long run.

I haven't played this in a while, but did the developers ever go back on their whole "permanent item damage/repair pool" thing with gear?

I remember that being a big bone of contention with various players and the developers being very stubborn about that "feature." A bunch of friends and I uninstalled the game since that felt like an artificial gimmick which forced players to endlessly grind and craft (ie. Thump) to stimulate the bare-bones AH economy since our gear was constantly damaged and would eventually be completely broken. Plus the whole developer attitude of, "deal with it, we're a small studio and can't constantly put out new content to stimulate the economy" was off-putting.

I played this for the first time last night to check it out. Over all I didn't think it was a bad game. I liked it way more then Wildstar. and yes, your gear does need repairing. I was disappointed to see that.

So, what was going on with this that pissed everyone off?

But selling your soul to scammer steam for a few buks , thats not a problem , as long as one earns money there is no problemo i guess.

I have no idea what you are talking about. How is steam scamming anyone? I have never had any issues from steam, nor have they just dumped their customers on another service and said, fuck you for all the games you bought from us over the years and then game fly says, yep fuck you we are not honoring those games you bought.

So, if you can compare steam to that, then, and only then will I believe that crap your spewing.
