And maybe one day Jaenos will "get it".
Technically he does get it, you don't. Men weren't meant to mate for life but over the years, while thinking themselves pretty clever for turning a wolf into a Yorkshire Terrier, they were domesticated by women and convinced themselves it was a good thing.
And what's going to happen? Thanks to the way society is breaking down that caveman existence isn't that far off for most of us. We'll be left facing a world gone mad not just without our women but with only a Yorkshire Terrier for companionship. Jack London would weep.
EDIT: I think women are scum, in general, so I may be biased. I did however once meet a Yorkie I thought was "okay".

There's often a gulf between what the state-sponsored think tanks reccomend and what actually get implemented. Look at pensions. Original link here:

Doesn't actually say this research was initiated by the UK government anywhere in there. Hard to see how these guys are getting money for saying no to extensions to copyright duration and yes to making home back-ups legal. Pleasant change of pace from the usual rights-holders backed propaganda.

Plus Xbox will never get a foothold in Japan, where Nintendo and Sony typically excel.
Never is a long time and Japan has a LONG history of embracing the West. I realise it's harder to do over there but Microsoft could start buying up developers the same way they've done in Europe and the US. They've already started by funding Sakaguchi.

Fuck "the children". They're the sole responsibility of the people who bring them in to this world.
Until they do something wrong and then society is to blame. IF people were actually responsible for what their children did you'd see a lot better parenting and a lot fewer kids.

Careful on buying UK based games. Many of them have the gore, or blood, stripped from the final product especially due to some of the laws I have read about. All the way back to Carmageddon 2, where the people were changed to green blooded zombies, which took away from the game immensely.
You've made the fatal error of confusing the UK with Germany. In actual fact we get all our games fully gored up here because we have a legally binding age rating system - which is largely ignored by the mothers who buy the majority of games for children but at least the burden of responsibility is put onto them and not onto the game developers, publishers or retailers. Often if a game is considered too wussy it will actually be sent back to have more blood/boobs/toilet-humour* added.

There's also talk of it moving to a 9PM slot. I find it hard to see how the current storyline, mirroring Iraq as it does in fairly liberal fashion, is going to survive the criticism a mass audience brings it.
Oh and bring back Over There.

After a day with it I have about 17 daughters and no sons (using the 1 year per round "fix") and none of my daughters seem to want to go to school or sign on as apprentices. Very lifelike actually.
Unplayable POS right now but if they fix it it could be fun.

I'm a rapid SE4 fanboi but I was very disappointed by the demo for this. There's a feeling amongst a lot of the community that there are problems with the game but we should give it a chance in the hope it gets patched into something usable by Aaron. I say the game is owned outright by Strategy First and there won't be the same level of support we enjoyed for the older games. Regrettably I'm going to wait and see on this one.

Locate a Relic and it's yours to keep, so long as you walk the path of good.
Rules out my gameplay style then.
Visiting all the shrines is kinda like the start of the temple quests from Morrowind. Never did get into the temple in MW. Or finish the main quest.

This is going to strengthen Steam. Who are you going to trust for your digital distribution now? I never even heard of Triton but they must have shaved a buck or two off what Steam or Direct2Drive was offering. With Steam you have an established company with a pile of money in reserve and the built-in ability to have your game promoted to over a million existing paying customers.

I have zero qualm with anyone believing what they want to believe...except when their belief system means they're forcibly trying to foist their beliefs and value systems on me and everyone else who doesn't want them.
It's actually worse than that because they're actively brain-washing their own children. Someone somewhere is making money off this.

I checked gametab and they had one (eurogamer) review up. It was a 50% from someone the sim wasn't aimed at. You're just objecting because one of the target audience liked it. It's not even a game - it's a sim. If you think there's no difference ask yourself what you would rather an airline pilot logged hours on, a game or a sim?

Hey I had a message removed because some guy almost lost his kid through shoddy workmanship in his house. But these suicide messages remain and as far as I know nobody has bothered to track down Fredrickson and beat him until he squealed. To proves he was alive. What's the deal?
As I've already said, I dabbled in suicide so it's not like I'm averse but it's not all clutching flowers and apt last words. From past experience it hurts like fuck and there's an ocean of vomit. My stats are still fucked after all these years. I really don't recommend it and I think the pro-suicide stance we're getting here is wrong.
