Bugs aside ... its the same game over and over again. If you have a patched Stronghold 2, there is no need for Stronghold 3. Heck, S3 even looks the same than S2. Same textures, same models, same water shaders. And paying 40-50 bucks for a slightly modified interface?

And yes, isometric & turn-based is a no-go for games produced by major publishers, because isometric isn't 3D and turn-based is not fast enough for the shooter crowd. Sadly, the Syndicate IP belongs to EA and not some nifty little indie dev, who doesn't care what the biggest demographic target group seems to want or not want.

That was under Flagship Studios. When Flagship went bancrupt, Hanbit from Korea took over all assets from Flagship and released Mythos as a typical Asian MMO grinder in their market.

And Hellgate London is suppossed to be re-released some time next year, also from Hanbit. Yay ... not!

Mythos still runs in Asia, but there is no loss here. Torchlight is the game you want to play if you knew Mythos from its humble beginnings.

Yes, but it only removes the necessity to be online when the gane starts. This crack does NOT restore the misssing content when playing offline.

But i guess, someone will eventually tackle that problem.

True. Homeworld 2 was such a dissapointment. Especially this stupid dynamic-leveling crap which punishes the player, who played so well that he has a surplus of ressources and/or ships at the end of a mission. I never finished this game, never picked it up again in years following. But Homeworld 1 and the addon? Played every last bit of them a dozen times over and over and over.

KotoR 1 & 2 anyone? Horrible, horrible inventory management and user interface, straight from the console without any improvements or adjustments to the possibilities of mouse/keyboard. Excellent games, but lazy ports they were.

Being released on Steam has some advantages for (nearly) everyone.

1. Steam as copy prevention sucks. Cracks are easily availabe on release day and for every major patch release.

2. The dev has a well established DRM system he can show his investors.

3. For some customers Steam adds value to a game.

4. Sales will reduce the buying price to a few dollars, if you are patient enough and have no interest in spending 40-50 bucks, dollars, euros, pounds whatever on a game you only rent.

Yes, no DRM at all is the best solution for the devs and the customers, but sadly not all devs go indie and the major publishers answer only to their investors, not to the customers or devs.

There, RIGHT THERE is the problem.

Developers have to learn that "fighting" software piracy is as effective as attacking windmills in hope of defeating them. There is no proof that software piracy decreases sales. There is more and more evidence, that more DRM leads to more piracy and less DRM to less piracy.

Just stop fighting. Its useless.
