Either way, I've always though D&D games didn't translate well for PC, which is ironic, being a roll playing game... So true. The rules are just incompatible with the pick up and play attitude of the PC gaming masses. Making an irreversible choice in a pen and paper settings is one thing. If it sucks you can always work with the DM to change it, create a new character, or have the campaign tailored to fit your abilities.
On the PC, nobody wants to have to spend hours planning out their feats for all 20 levels just to make sure they won't be gimped later. They want to pick whatever skill looks fun and run with it. If it sucks, they want to replace it with something else. |

I find it amusing that people are accusing Brad of not learning his lessons. If you bought Elemental then YOU didn't learn your lesson. Games are frequently buggy on release. This isn't just Stardock. This is a large number PC games from any publisher, regardless of pedigree. Look at APB.
You don't buy games on release day! It's that simple. I look forward to buying both DemiGod and Elemental, but just not until they've been patched up and the price is right. I won't be disappointed. I've learned my lesson. |

| Cool, I had to skip the beta and free weekend due to the DRM. I may actually finally get to try their game. Which I presume is what they've wanted all along... |

Congrats John, well deserved. Let's not forget the major contributions to gaming he made by open sourcing so many of his projects. Thousands of people have learned and benefited from being able to see the inner workings of his games.
Also his support of the modding community has benefited the PC gaming community hugely over the years. |

| Needs a demo, or a deeeeep discount for me to test it out, even without a subscription. Sounds like it could be fun with a group of friends. |

| This game desperately needs an 8 player coop mode, and more difficulty options. I could play coop all day if it weren't for the fact that advanced is too easy and expert is too irritating without exactly 3 friends online. Make the 8 player coop mode NOT fill in bots for the new slots, instead have the director scale everything based on how many players you actually have so that the game can be fun with anywhere from 4-8 players. |

| I didn't buy the first Bioshock until after the activation limits were removed. Definitely won't be purchasing this until the same thing happens. |

| I was hoping for a release of the original SS on Steam or GoG, not a remake. But I still might get lured into this. Had some good times in SS coop. |

| The price is absurd. I'll definitely buy it after it comes down a long ways in price. Of course that will be literally years. CoD4:MW never had a weekend sale on Steam (that I remember) and still isn't under $39.99 on Steam. But that's OK, there are tons of other great games to get for much cheaper while I wait. |

| If this succeeds in being like Painkiller or Serious Sam, then great. However, given that everybody told me to steer WAY clear of Overdose, I'm not shelling out a single cent to find out if this is crap or not. Only time will tell. |

| This game sounds awesome, but it also sounds like it has WAY too much content already. 70+ hours if you are a slow paced gamer who takes his time exploring and doing side quests? I doubt I'll be interested in any more after 30 hours. Too many games to play, too little time. So I don't care if they have free or pay DLC on day 1 or 90, I'm not likely to get it either way. |

Where do you box lovers put all your boxes and manuals? I can't get rid of that shit fast enough. There's a stack of 13 boxes, dvd cases, and CD jewel cases right next to me and I wish it was all in my Steam account instead.
Ripped off for not having to take out the trash with my purchase? I think not. |

Sounds like they are using the applicants to gather a large sample of network performance data, without any assurance of actual beta access. This is a little different from a normal beta where all you give is an email and answer a few questions. Here they may run detailed tests on your connection and still deny you access.
Interesting approach. Just applying makes you a beta tester, but you won't necessarily get to play anything. |

| This is just awesome. I love it when companies punish people who can't understand the spirit of fair play. I look forward to my halo. |
