Lowest standards since the American Civil War? It's only been volunteer for 20 years or so.
The rapid multiple deployments are not from a shrinking army but from an existing army that is too small for the task at hand.
I don't like the phrase "backdoor draft". It is made quite clear when you sign up that you're contracted for 8 years, not just the active duty time you serve.

If this cancer thing is true, why isn't it bigger news?
EDIT: Well I did some looking around and this is from a legitamite institute and school. The head scientist has won awards in Canada for his research in cancer.

Question for OOO vets. I have some converns about the wide variety of monster levels in dungeons as you get deeper.
How large is the level swing? Will I spend the first 10 levels doing only the first part of a dungeon and have to wait till till I'm a much higher level an go back to finish them off?

You ar atually using the way Oblivion and Gothic run as a shining example of how to do it?
Walking around in Oblivion is a chopfest, I'd much rather have a load every 10-20 minutes than the current system of stuttering every 10 seconds.
We need not even discuss the mess that is G3.

Well you can get a PS3 off of Ebay right now for around 650USD for the 60gb version. That's about what it costs with tax out here in Cali.

While the US government may be be only 14 in GPD giving to charity, I'm pretty sure that American personal donations are near the top of the charts in percentage of wealth given away. I know that we give double what the Canadians give by percentage of personal wealth, thats the only statistic I could find quickly.
You also have to factor in the aid that the US military gives, which is not calculated into the statistic that is commonly referenced by America haters. You think that all of those planes and ships we sent for tsunami aid are cheap?

I recommend you give them at least another 6 months to finish 3, might as well try out the other in the meantime. They're all pretty similar.

I look forward to the first game publisher who makes a shooter identical on both consoles and PC's, then allows them to play against each other. This will be a mistake unless they allow for servers to keep out one or the other.

There's a French demo out. I couldn't figure it out though, so decided to wait for an English demo.

Regular old graphics will not fill up a standard DVD. the only time you need blueray is when you have a LOT or audio and FMV. A bajillion pollies won't do it.
Yes there will be some japanese RPG's out there taking up multiple disks, they do like the FMV, but it will be hours between disk changes. I'd prefer to keep my 200 bucks and swap out a disk every 20 hours.

How many devs truly wanted or needed the space in blueray? One, two maybe? If lair is taking up that much space without FMV or sound, they're doing something seriously wrong with their compression.

While the graphics may be "dated" I like the artwork. Good art direction and texture work can make up for a lack of fancy tech...see HL2.
It's not the game they wanted to make, but it sounds like it could be a very cool FPS anyway.

The game has no facing, so the camera rotating around him is the same thing as your character rotating with it.

I'll never fulyl understand the problem people have with the camera in NWN2. I mostly play with it at max elevation and swing it about manually with the middle mouse button. I've never really had a problem with it.

While I totally agree that they completely FUBARed the UI, the campaign itself is leagues beyond the NWN1 campaigns.
If you don't mind playing with a jacked up UI, NWN2 is a pretty damn good game.
