You're only addressing the first paragraph out of context, from several, all of which more than adequately addressed the question.

It is not out of context, I said it was his first reaction and quoted it correctly. Do you know what out of context means?

IGN AU: What does BioShock do that the System Shock games didn't?

Jon Chey: Oh God. Well, start by go taking a look at a BioShock screenshot. And put a Shock screenshot next to it. I love Shock 2 but it's kind of hard to claim it was pushing the visual boundaries of game development. I think that is a claim we can make with BioShock.

That is really disappointing. He asks what is better about it than System Shock and his first reaction is....Look at how pretty it is!

That is not a good sign.

Oh man a Blizzard take on Planetside could be awsome, but I don't see that happening. I don't think it'd be a large enough market, too much twitch skill involved.

I really liked the concept of Planetside, I just did not like the gameplay at all. The biggest thing was the complete lack of phsics with the vehicles, all air vehicles were essentially hovercraft that took zero skill to pilot.

This game actually sounds very cool. Hopefully it all pans out. Each map is supposed to be completely open and you choose how to accomplish the missions. After the briefing you also choose your drop point.

You are aware that the name Jericho existed long before the TV show used it....it's not something they made up.

We’re excited to let our concerned friends know that this speed bump won’t keep us from continuing our development of great new award-winning product.

Pretty cool that they've won awards for unreleased products, must be some damn good games.

As long as it supports pausing to issue commands I am all good. I'll be giving it a try tonight.

In the 300 dollar range the only card worth looking at is the 8800GTS, once you go past midrange Nvidia is the only one in the current high end market. ATI is supposedly releasing something or other within the next couple of months...maybe.

nin:

I personally would go with a 8800 GTS 320 for 80 bucks more, maybe less if you don't mind rebates.

If thats too expensive, I'd go with the x1950 pro. It's faster overall and cheaper but doesn't support DX10. However, I don't think that the 8600 GTS is really fast enough to take advantage of DX10 enhancements anyway.

Changed my mind on the mobo, this one is a better deal. Only has 1 IDE connection though, if that is a concern.

EA makes publishes good games every once in a while. They generally are compromised in some way and you can feel their evil hand on it but they do accidentally publish some good stuff.

The reason no one tried to stop him is most people in America are non confrontational pussies. I can't be positive but I'd like to think if someone was walking around a room executing people I'd give rushing him a try. At least tell someone to follow me and get him if he takes me down. I damn sure would try it if I heard his guns click empty.

However, like I said, I've never been in a situation like that and can't blame people for reacting the way they did.

If the dude just had a pistol, you could easily conceal that with enough ammo in a backpack.

Doesn't sound exclusive, it sounds like they're doing it right and supporting both dx9 and 10.

Do you even enjoy RPGs? Saying fallout tactics was the best of the bunch tells me you don't care about story, meaningfull quests, solving quests without help, and just want to blow shit up. Which is fine, but it's not what most RPG fans are looking for.

I gotta be honest here as much as I despise Oblivion, I much prefer the combat in it to the previous games.

The Elder Scrolls games used to be mature, but somewhere between Daggerfall and Morrowind they began their trend towords mass market appeal. I really don't see them releasing any kind of challenging and mature game. That lying doushbag Pete Hines even said in an interview recently that the mass console crowd is their main focus now.

It was changed to M after someone found some semi nude art leftover on the DVD, not for any of the actual IG content. They can bullshit all they want about the violence, but if it wasn't for the leftover art it'd have kept the T rating.
