"intense dog fighting"....I'm not a modern air combat expert. So maybe someone else can clue me in...how much dogfighting is done with modern jets? Don't they usually kill each other at long range?

Bioshock was only original if you hadn't played SS1 or 2. Still a great game but it felt like a remake or reimagining of SS2.

Yeah consoles are pretty much locked onto medium settings for most games, especially shooters. That and small maps.
I't supposed to run pretty decent in XP, I can't say for sure, but it seems that most XP people are happy with it.

Hump, Vista isn't working in the game. My 8800GTX won't go above 20fps with everything on low, outside. DX10 version isn't part of the demo either.

This is probably because the damn thing doesn't work at all in Vista, after they've pretty much pimped the DX10 mode almost exclusivly.

I apologize if somewhere along the line I gave you the impression I am not an asshole. I assure you that I am, but that doesn't mean you're not a jackass.
"I never once saw the kid fight back."
You use tiptoe around the issue with bullshit statements like that. The guy was resisting, he was still resisting when he had one arm cuffed and the other was free. Rather than break his arm they tazed him.
It wasn't torture, it wasn't brutality, it is the safest and least halrmfull thing they could do to get him cuffed.

I'd like to add that the reason it takes so many is they are trying to do it without hurting the suspect. If they could just beat the shit outta people it would take far few officers.

Dagok,
I have to disagree with Enahs, I am trying to insult you and I think you are a moron. How the fuck can you sit there and say exactly how many people they needed to subdue him? You we're fucking there attempting to do it. I can assure you that if I was stupid enough to resist arrest, 3 officers would have trouble getting me handcuffed....and they would proceed to tazer the shit outta me. I am by no means a giant either.

Why do people keep saying he was already subdued, dude had one hand free and they couldn't get the cuffs on it because the ass was resisting.

The difference between you and me is that I know that there is a difference between unnecessary force and abuse. Not all force is unnecessary, but most of these videos show assholes resisting cops and getting a beatdown. If you just go along with the cops the vast majority of the time nothing will happen to you.
Can any of you hippies show me a video that has a dude comply with the cops and they just start kicking the crap out of him and then didn't get investigated?

Please don't lump prison guards in with street cops. From the prisons guards I've met they tend to be assholes. Same way I don't confuse street cops with those pricks with the CHP.

What I would like from some of you hippies is a video of a guy peacefully complying with the police and THEN getting a beatdown. I'll join you in condemning that.
Like that dude who got shot down in LA after the cop told him to get up. Funny that didn't get much coverage from the "civil rights" activists. You bet your ass that if it had been a white guy shooting a black guy it would have been everywhere. The dude got off, did you hear any outcry?

As someone who gets burned regularly, has been tazed, and pepper sprayed, I can say that in no way is being tazered anything like extreme heat.

Hey Woody, there are two reasons the dude got so much coverage.
First off, the dude is a professional pain in the ass, he's got a website where he displays videos of him being an ass. He made sure everyone knew about it. One of the videos was taken with his camera and he distributed it.
Second, it happened where John Kerry, maybe you've heard of him, was giving a speech. That automatically raised it's visibility.
Also, tasering doesn't hurt it's just uncomfortable. I imagine if you're some kind of soft pussy not used to anything physical you might scream. Or if you want it to seem like you're being brutalized. This comment was edited on Sep 21, 12:27. |

I've used those on XP, and it's a similar license. When you upgrade your stuff you pretty much have to call Microsoft every time and get them to activate it. It was a fairly painless process and I just said my motherboard died and I replaced it, worked for over a dozen reinstalls I'd guess.
I have regular Vista Ultimate and I've had to call Microsoft a bunch of times for activation shit anyway so having that version so far hasn't been a help.
You don't get tech support with the builder one. Not like that's a real drawback anyway.

We shall see, I really hop the SP mode is a lot better. I'm a big fan of the Far Cry gameplay and really liked to look of the map.
Apparently the Vista support is completely broken ATM, which is odd since they've been pimping the DX10 mode. Maybe it's jsut the DX9 that doesn't work right.

I very much can test the performance by the MP mode. I can tell the difference between lag and low FPS. Lag doesn't cause consistent 15fps. Regardless I will be checking out the SP demo anyway.
Technically it is beta, even though it's very late beta.
