So...despite an early video giving a glimpse of what looked like a cross-hair and some shooter type of action, it sounds like they're just pushing out another standard MMORPG.

I don't understand. So what he's saying is that he developed an extension that basically disables V-Sync at will, if necessary? Rather than slow down?

Quite frankly, I fucking HATE screen tears, and I'd rather the game just slow down a little bit. (Although, for example, in the case of Just Cause 2, that caused a ridiculous speed up-slow down-speed up-slow down type of gameplay which was really noticeable and really annoying.)

It's kind of surprising that a game which can run at 60fps on the ancient, decrepit 360, would have issues with not being able to run at 60fps on a PC?

It's going to depend entirely on your rig and game settings. It's possible the PC version is going to have much mroe detail. If it doesn't, then this optimization will be for those with video cards a few gens old.

Wait are you saying the writing was plagiarized...or the fact that it uses line drawn dungeons? Making a new game in the same genre isn't plagiarism. You can say they were not original with the concept.

Some of the people have this thread have clearly not played the previous games. You dialog selection options have always only been a few words long and then Shepard talks for a while.

The mouse is in no way floaty...which would be a deal breaker. It's just a bit of weirdness in how the character moves around.

That review is testing two cards 50% apart as far as price goes.

If you're a submachine gun user, the one in the Katsumi mission is the best one. You can also get it much earlier than the other top one.

Isn't this a linear game? Why would you need to use scaling in a linear game?

If you are ok with the scaling in those games, I don't understand why the reaction to this game. They said the scaling is imilar to what they did in FO3.

Doesn't level scaling also happen in Fallout 3/NV as well as Dragon Age and Mass Effect? Its been around for a while...

negative

All of those games scale, NV does it the least.

I imagine the name recognition will give this game decent initial sales, but it's a terrible game and it won't maintain any kind of subscription base.

I am unsure what the target audience is for this game. It's too basic to appeal to the normal MMORPG fan I'm thinking. I don't see too many parents of young kids shelling out a monthly fee for the game.
