Yeah I hate it also when games have complex character creation systems. It's much better when they lead you by the hand like most other popular MMORPG's....sarcasm off
The game's true shortcoming is the extreme lack of missions/content. It's worse than Conan when it launched. The game easily could have used another year in the cooker. He says they're addressing the gap in the 30's in a few weeks with shitty repeatable missions. That's not nearly enough. You currently have to do every single mission in the game in order to level. That's just not right.

The power level nerf was fine, it's still easy. It's faster paced than most MMORPGs so the feebs are having trouble.
The main problem is they've nerfed XP a few times and there's not enough content to level to the cap without grinding out a LOT of mobs. |

Look you monkeys, by limiting the lifetime subs they are showing confidence in their product. If they sold everyone lifetime subs and the game goes past 1 year, they're now losing money on those people. By limiting the lifetimes they are planning on making money off of people paying the monthly fee for more than 1 year.

People actually use Direct2Drive? I have heard nothing but horror stories and crazy restrictions from people who bought games there.
Those are mostly lies, bad information, or the usual bullshit from morons. I use it regularly and rarely have problems. Customer service has been good to me when I do. I enjoy their uncapped download speeds and lack of required app(steam) to play the games.
Years ago they needed their own patches. I've found the past few years that their games all seem to work with the regular patches.

The game looks fucking fantastic, especially in motion. I'm not so sure about the actual gameplay though.
I have seen a video with vehicle driving. |

Creston speaks the truth. Although, Medieval 1 was my favorite.
The worst thing about this version is the battle AI. It's just not up to the complexities of combining ranged vs melee combat that the game is comprised of.

| It doesn't differ. I jumped into the beta and was in a field with everyone else told to kill x wamprats or whatever and immediately uninstalled. |

It wasn't just that the enemies respawned too fast. It was combined with the fact that you couldn't drive past the checkpoints due to NPCs all having catchup speed while driving. I don't know what ass decided that was a good gameplay decision/combo but they should not be allowed to make any future decisions.
As others have said it doesn't seem like it would have taken much to make a great game out of what's there. Most people are in agreement with what tweaks are needed.
