P.S. The men "failing" article was an attack on a new study about online porn and video games, and nothing to do with feminism. I am starting to lose faith that article links can stand alone, and I may have to start doing more summarizing of what they contain. I prefer to steer readers toward the source of content, and am not a fan of sites rewriting perfectly good stories to hog traffic, but it seems to be a disservice to allow vague headlines to derail topics.

Of course you are entitled to take the discussions wherever you want, but I am going to have to take some responsibility for this sort of recurring confusion.

Hmm, my 4 year old Samsung Infuse has no burn in and no pixel loss after 4 years of daily use, and it's Super AMOLED. I thought the technology was maturing.

Your phone isn't on for large periods of time and it has a lot less pixels so there's less concern about blue pixel lifepsan. Everyone has given up on OLED and has invested in quantum dot instead, its cheaper and consumers aren't willing to pay the crazy price premiums for OLED sets that are costly to manufacture.

But, hey, how about those Optimus keyboards, huh?

Erm. I don't follow American Football. So what exactly is achieved by slightly deflating the ball? Is it easier to catch? Throw? It sure as hell wont go further when kicked (laws of physics)...

They use an entirely different set of balls for kicking. For QBs ball pressure is a personal preference: Apparently Brady is one who prefers a softer ball to grip and throw.

There are also very suspicious stats about the Patriots' lack of fumbling that may relate to a softer ball being easier for the runners to grip as well.

Hey Blue, I just loaded up the site a minute or so ago and Firefox asked me if I would allow "Starsizzle" to access my location data. I obviously declined, but just thought I'd bring it to your attention.

Thanks
I don't know if he reads here often. Try e-mailing him?

Actually I saw this, thanks for the report. I've seen a location request myself, and I am working at making sure none of us see one again.

Wow, that's awesome, Blue!

I tried doing children's book adaptations but after doing ones for Natural Born Killers and Se7en, I gave up.

Haha, very nice. To be clear, she is working on producing and editing these books, not writing them.

Did your wife have a hand in writing some of the previous SW younger adult books (Like Young Jedi Knights)?

No, this is pretty recent, she's only been working on Star Wars stuff the last couple of years.

My friend took her dog over to her dad's house. He's got cancer and takes medical marijuana to mitigate it. Anyway, his whole stash of hash brownies was on the table and she didn't know, so the dog jumped on the table and ate them all. Died a week later.

Holy shit, thats pretty hardcore. Bet it wasn't the marijuana that killed him though. A lot of chocolate and butter goes into brownies too.

It was surely more than a little attributable to the pot. This thread quickly hit on three things you should never feed to your dog: Chocolate, grapes, and marijuana. All three can kill them. Pot brownies with raisins would be a triple-threat.

I believe, as they say, it is your move, Mr. Blue.

Poop? AKA doggie caviar? I think a lot more dogs eat poop than broccoli.

You can easily start a friends-only, crew-only, or invite-only server.

But (if I understand it right) it's still through Social Club, so they're still tracking it. And if they see a mod they don't like...

Haha, caught me in the second before I added that via an edit.

You can easily start a friends-only, crew-only, or invite-only server. Don't think that permits mods, though.

Also, hint to airline captains: If you're diving 20000 feet because you're worried about a loss of cabin pressure, ANNOUNCE THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE DOING! That way the people on board your plane don't think they are plummeting to their deaths and pass out from fear.

This really doesn't seem that hard to frikkin' comprehend.

Just pay attention when the captain extinguishes the no pants-shitting light.

Smoke detectors have an expirated date...?

How do I find out what that date is? Is it on the unit somewhere?

Both our old and new units have a sticker where you are supposed to write the installation date and the projected replacement date. Even if you didn't fill it out, there may be a sticker on your indicating its projected lifespan. Seems 10 years is typical, but YMMV.

I got the same card recently too. Definitely worth the upgrade! It barely fits in my computer it's so freaking big! But it's quiet and cool.

I had a bad moment at first seeing it was clearly not going to fit in my case, but then I saw that Cooler Master cleverly made the part of the drive bays that were blocking the back of the card removable, and there was plenty of room once I removed that. Whew.

Blues, I'm not sure if your card qualifies or not, but I read last week that it was either Nvidia or EVGA, cant recall now. was giving away free backplates for those who bought a new GTX 970 card. Might want to do some checking. Those backplates are awesome to have on your card.

That was EVGA. The Gigabyte card I got comes with a backplate preinstalled.

Edit: I see you ninjaed me with your edit.

This is the second reference to me regarding that harassment comment. I was simply pointing out a discrepancy from the body of the article, not offering an editorial.

I feel like virtually all the removed posts I see are by regulars with thousands of posts. People with a few hundred posts never jump in guns blazing.

And, you know, nothing happens. Like one or two guys who weren't bots have ever gotten banned. There's no time out, you don't get any privileges revoked, Blue doesn't even tell people to get back on topic. And there's no mystery figuring out the gist of a removed post; we get the idea. I can't understand how people can get into hysterics over this, getting into a mental state where "hypocrisy" gets flung around. Just copy and paste the exact same post and take out the part where you directly called the other guy names, done and move on.

QFT.

So you report my post calling you names, but Blue leaves your post calling me a douche.

A third party reported it (and this one for that matter), not Rigs. I deleted the post that was reported.

So your complaint is not that I deleted your post, but that I didn't comb back through the thread for more posts to delete?

Is that how you want these boards moderated? Should more posts be deleted?

Typical Blue, keep that double standard going.

Yeah, that's not winning you any points right now.
