I've seen a weird trend where millennials call gaming "XBox, PS and Steam".

They don't call it PC Gaming.

Calling Steam a platform like that is happening within the industry. I see it in press releases all the time nowadays.

Is there a link to the video? Blues recap doesn't seem to discuss the story itself or if there is an optional strategic combat camera. What I'd also like to know if there are branching consequences (inXile or CD Projekt level of caliber), updated follower orders, etc. and hopefully no mention of paid modding.
Here

Don't see the video there either. For some reason Bethesda has not posted it yet.

Wait a minute..... wasn't there a DOS-based Ant-sim title back in the mid/late 90s?

There was a isometric lawn, you had to feed queens, build nests, explore, move/fly to different squares of the lawn, deal with lawn mowers, etc.?

Goodness that takes me back. Does anyone else remember this? What was the title name?!

SimAnt.

Right. So, is it okay for me to post something that mocks homosexuality and makes every effort to offend and humiliate gays? How about vegans? No? Why not? That guy with the funny emails seemed to think it was okay to mock Christanity and Easter, so I don't see why he's special and can get away with being intolerant, but I can't.

Wait, what's that you say? The ideology of tolerance is NOT a two way street and those who preach it are not required to live by it? Ohhhh, I see. Yeah, that's what I thought.

As the one who decided to post that, I can't object to your point as strongly as some others have... I thought the humor of the piece was the overwhelming element of it, but the target of the humor being in the majority does not invalidate your point. I also probably would start deleting posts if a religious flame war had emerged, and would have no one but myself to blame, so I will keep that in mind going forward.

Off-topic political trolling. There are sites devoted to those topics you should be using for this.

Same answer applies to the following post.

Oh well. I've still got June old school concert plans. Graham Parker and the Rumor a week from Friday. I am *very* stoked.

edit: City Winery, my spies say.

Wow, it is his birthday (76!!) and he does have a show there tonight. I'm not sure I can actually pull off attending, but I am sorely tempted. Thanks for pointing that out.

did you make the camera yourself, out of parts taken from a potato?

You can blame the iphone for that. Mine does the same thing, zoomed in shots go to shit.

Missed that part of the thread at the time... That's exactly what it was... too much phone zoom.

Shelf the hurt ego and whining and put the dog on a leash.

I'm with Bob on this one. Off your property, use a leash or go to a designated leash free dog park. Too many dog owners think it's great to have their dog plow over little kids and shit on people's lawns.

Any other suggestions from you and BobBob on how to not get on people's wrong sides?

I already copped to being in the wrong.

I'm sure New York's Finest will send their top men out to apprehend you. Or at least that's what they assured that other guy.

That being said... just leash the dog in populated areas. It doesn't take any great effort.

I always do. Part of our walk is along a commercial street, and I always have him on leash. But most of our path is along very quiet side streets, and this is the first time anybody has said anything about it other than to compliment Gunnar on being so well behaved. There are two ladies we run into on our walks who are terrified of dogs, and they are each okay with him being loose because he shows no interest in them. You are certainly right that I need to just leash him anywhere it may be an issue, but as I say, this was right across the street from where Gunnar's girlfriend lives, and I will continue to let him loose into her yard to frolic (she has an electric fence), so if this guy lives there or visits often, this is going to come up again to some degree.

It appears your neighbor has a pretty big ego to stroke there - upholding minor 'laws' to feel self-important. I would have just told them the leash was invisible... and smiled.

I wasn't that classy about it, but I did make a couple of cracks about how little he must have going on in his life to make a federal case out of this.

In an odd coincidence, later in the same walk I had only the second-ever conversation about him being off-leash. A fellow dog-walker was telling me about a guy who belligerently let his dog run free to bark up a storm and crap on all their lawns until the police got involved. Because he broached the subject like an adult, I quickly offered to leash Gunnar if it was a problem, but he was fine with how well-behaved he was and the fact that I was already toting a bag of poop I scooped. I would have been just as responsive to the first guy if he hadn't been such an asshole about it.

Pics, or GTFO.

I took him out to pose for a portrait, but he offered an action shot.

Before you shave your dog, have you read anything about it? Here is a link if you want, shaving your dog is sometimes a bad idea (depending on breed) because it messes with there temperature regulation.

I appreciate your concern, but the Gunnar-man is a Poodle. If shaving was bad for that breed they'd be extinct by now.

I was sure that was going to end badly. You only get one free pass on a stunt like that. It will if they try it again.

That was more suspenseful than any Hollywood movie I can recall.

Might be too little, too late for some but my group has been looking for something to play and the Pre-Sequel is going cheap fairly often so I think we'll check it out. The legendary drop rate was my biggest beef with BL2.

Helped kill the game for our group too. Difficulty keeps scaling to the point where the game requires the kind of weapons that never drop.

On a related note, the reliance on golden keys for good drops is not my idea of a proper game mechanic either, but it's just been a crap lottery for me anyway.

Intermittent problems of any sort are difficult to troubleshoot. Blue, would you mind expounding on the issue as it might help others. Muchos Gracias

It was a combination of a couple of bad cable connections in my house causing packet loss along with a repeater on my node that was over-amplifying (or whatever is the equivalent) the signal.

Great Steam is doing well, but "concurrent records" every month isn't impressive - it's expected and would mean just as little if they were on the decline.

I would argue a 5% jump after two months seems significant.

Indeed, and this is something I had experienced before, but since it was always something I did when the phone was powered up, I guess I viewed it as a ctrl-alt-delete function that rebooted it when it was running. Funny feeling so technically ignorant. Obviously one of the reasons I have an iPhone is because I want to deal with it like an appliance.
