Volunteers or not... a Vapor reward is warranted, in this case, and IMO.

The point being that almost every mod ever released has been delayed to some degree, and I would hazard a guess that more than half of the mods ever announced have never seen the light of day. What did one mod team do to earn the scorn of a major tech publication?

Nope, that Ubi DRM is not part of R.U.S.E.

Blue, if you had a problem serious enough to call a plumber, surely it can't be very surprising your wife wants you to talk to him?

Well he was here to look at the relief tank on the furnace, so this came from left field, though we had talked about the foibles of the toilet in question in the past. Turns out it will need to be replaced, but on the bright side, it's one of those round bowls, so we'll end up replacing it with one of those oval ones better suited to manatomy. Flush

Careful out there Blue! Take it easy....don't want to over strain yourself. Was just watching a piece on the national news that injuries and heart problems abound around this time of year from people who over exert themselves shoveling ridiculous amounts of snow.

I appreciate the warning. That's actually my excuse for not having dug out the car already... I shoveled the walk the morning after the blizzard, but found the snowbank in front of the driveway daunting enough that I left it until today. Hole

Again, it's 2010 numbers only. Forget anything that happened prior to 2010, because that has nothing to do with 2010's net income or loss.

Not to mention that that period covers nine months of game development and music licensing fees with no sales to offset those expenses, since Rock Band 3 didn't come out until October.

This flies in the face of http://www.guru3d.com/news/unreal-engine-3-now-with-valves-free-steamworks-tools/
http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/63966
http://www.1up.com/news/epic-integrates-steamworks-unreal-engine

That was reported here as well:

http://www.bluesnews.com/s/108291/unreal-engine-3-adds-steamworks-nvidia-support

But there's nothing there that says Unreal licencees *can't* use GFWL. This doesn't make this report true, as it's just based on that pack shot, but it doesn't automatically make it false either.

(Speaking of Jeff) Who's seeing True Grit this weekend? I'm not one for westerns, but it looks too good to pass up.

I'm not sure I'll make it this weekend, but I am looking forward to that one greatly. I love Jeff, westerns, and the Coens, so this is a no-brainer for me.

Yeah same here on two different PCs. I e-mailed the web site too. I wonder how Blue played it.

Worked fine for me when I tried it before posting it (using Chrome), and it worked fine for me just now.

Where is the gameplay trailer that can demonstrate that this will not be consolitis tripe? Wake me up when that shows up.

There was a trailer not so long ago that was showing all gameplay.
How "consolitis" the gameplay will be we will know when we play it.

Can someone explain to me why a CG movie like this hasn't been made and released in cinemas yet? Why do studios continue to release CG movies like Despicable Me, Igor, Toy Story, UP, Tangled, Cars, Clone Wars, and so forth? Is there something that is keeping Hollywood from making a film like this trailer?

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within - 2001.

Though it is common knowledge that the wheel case is not a place where you can survive - so in a sense this is just natural selection doing its thing.

It is a place where bombs can survive, though. If this is not the TSAs responsibility, it should be. This situation seems much more dangerous than allowing passengers to carry nail clippers and shampoo.

My GOD! I just had a brainwave.

I'll start a buisness. Everyone I hire, I will title as Level 1 Peons/Widgeteers/Treeslayers/Code Warriors/etc.

For every set amount of time they clock, call it a full Quarter or whatever, they gain a level. When they complete a project, they get loot - an upgraded keyboard, a better pen, maybe a chair that doesn't make their legs go numb or their back hurt so much. (Or maybe I just throw some glittery crap on it, add some spikes or LEDs or something.)

Oh, and "higher level" workers get a better dress code. Noobs have to wear coveralls. Top level people get tuxedos with built-in special effects.

People who take sick days or vacation get a negative modifier on their earned "XP".

I mean, it's just a rough idea - I'll have to hammer out the details...maybe even pay them...

There's already a business that follows this model. It's called the military.

Agreed, Don was awesome. I lived for him trying to get under Howard's skin.

It's a good thing we don't live closer to the BBQ place, or I'd be 600 pounds in no time.

From the few pictures I've seen of you I'd estimate that you'd have to gain about 475 pounds for that to happen.

Okay, maybe I exaggerated. But if we lived closer to that place I would surely be 160 pounds in more no time.
