Removing the time limit on trials is far from going "Free to Play", this is the definition of a sensationalist headline.

Please justify that criticism.

Free-to-play (F2P) refers to any game that has an option of allowing its players to play without paying. Some of these games have both a free version and a Pay to Play version that offers the full version of the game and all of the updates. Free-to-play games with pay-to-play components utilize the freebie marketing technique to draw in a user base with this advanced type of game demo. The term "free-to-play" is frequently heard in the context of massively multiplayer online games (MMOGs).

Blue! C'mon, I still use your texas-style chili recipe frequently; you're going to tease us with grilled buffalo wings and not share the recipe?

No fair!

Not trying to tease, it's just so simple i barely qualifies as a recipe.

Cut the tips off some chicken wings and feed them to the dogs. Separate the rest of the wings into their two parts, the double bone and the "drummette." Boil them in beer for 15-30 minutes then grill them over medium heat, turning frequently. When the skin is browned and crispy, set them aside and let them cool a bit. Heat some Frank's Red Hot sauce and butter until the butter melts (tradition calls for a 50:50 hot sauce to butter ratio, but mine is more like 90:10), and toss the chicken in it until it's coated properly. Serve with celery and blue cheese dressing.

Couldn't be easier, or more delicious. Chef

But that said, FF5 is just FF 4.02 really why they felt the need to bump a whole 99 revisions up is a mystery, and fairly dumb.. but not really relevant. Its a security update for FF 4.01 and thus "not installing it" is not an option.

I'm guessing that browser revision numbers have recently become a "whose is bigger" contest, and they are playing catch up. Chrome is up to version 13.0.782.32 beta-m, and this is just to fight the perception for casual users that Firefox is falling behind.

^D^

I was thinking something similar when I dug up my QUAKE CD and I recalled how I got it autographed at that QuakeWorld event in SoHo. Sure enough, it's signed by Carmack, Romero, and *scribble*. The last is probably American McGee by the looks of it, but I can't be sure. Not sure why I didn't get it signed by the other guys. Anyway, it is indeed hard to believe that will have been 15 years ago this September.

How does that leave your steak cooked Blue? Well done? Medium?

They were a bit past medium rare. This was a perfect compromise, as I like mine medium rare, but MrsBlue prefers medium. I could have done one each way, but this way we split them both: One fresh off the grill, and the other as a leftover.

Oh god. I would have entertained the idea until that quote...

Did you all skip that part?

Nah, I went for it. I had already given a couple of strong "no" answers in the assessment of my menu choices, saying I didn't want seafood and organ meat dishes, so I'd have felt a little too picky to pass on bacon, though if it was pecker bacon or something similar I certainly wouldn't have tried it.

Happy b-day, Mrs. B.

BTW, we never did get to hear how those steaks were, Blue.

Ah. forgot to follow up.

I let them come to room temperature, covered them in kosher salt and cracked pepper, and cooked them four minutes a side on a grill as hot as I could get it. I put a bit of olive oil on them and let them rest in a foil tent.

The zucchini I was making as a side was just so-so, but the steaks were absolutely perfect, which certainly beats the reverse.

What about investing in a deli meat slicer. Those can cut regular meats into paper-thin bits, I imagine it can do the same for pepperoni.

That's probably the best idea, thanks. I'll have to see how much space they take up and how much they cost.

If you don't have other uses for a deli slicer, it's hard to imagine that you couldn't get a similar result a lot cheaper with a simple mandolin slicer.

It's to pay for the clerk who is going to take your payment, her supervisor and blah blah blah.

Actually I think it goes a bit beyond that, to the extent of being a bit sinister. From what I know, the Feds have measures in place to try to prevent local municipalities from setting up "speed traps," and can withhold federal money from places that derive too much income from speeding tickets. This is one reason there is such willingness to negotiate them down to non-moving violations for those who appear in court, and why so much of what is paid for tickets is listed as court/administrative fees rather than the actual fine. Someone who is a cop (Bats?), lawyer, or judge can surely explain this better than I can, if not outright correct it, but that it my understanding.
