So much attention for such a terrible game. Really? I used to enjoy a good family game of Monopoly every now and then. Is there any particular reason you don't like it? I guess like anything else everybody's personal taste is different. Just always struck me as a game where luck was a primary component with an endgame that always involves players who know they are going to lose hanging on and pawning stuff to stave off the inevitable.
That doesn't make it the worst game ever, but it does make me wonder why there are so many editions, not to mention the gold one. |

So when his parrot dies are you going to do the Monty Python Dead Parrot bit for him? Those birds live a loooong time... it's far more likely the parrot will end up doing a dead owner bit than vice versa. |

Out of 36 links non-gaming links, 9 were HuffPo. I'd say 25% of content coming from one source is quite high. I will try and be more conscious of too many stories coming from a single source, though I should add your analysis of this is a little deceptive, as 55% of those HuffPo links you cite are actually Associated Press articles that happen to be posted there, and could have come from any of hundreds of sites that carry that wire feed. That is simply because these links typically come from submissions.
Two ways to change the makeup of these links are to submit articles from other sources, which you are encouraged to do, or demonstrate some problem with the site to which we are linking. There was a comment that "90% of the stories there are either celebrity gossip or pseudo-science homeopathic medicine articles*," but that doesn't describe any of the articles in question, which are all on topic for the various categories where they are filed. And as always, these are arranged in easily skippable bullet point format so you can avoid inflammatory content such as "Twitterers React To Facebook's New Features" and "Next Generation 'iPhone 5' Teased In WSJ Report: What Will It Look Like?"
* A recent "science" article there drew some valid criticism here, and such stories will not likely be linked from here in the future. |

How old is your home? Very... about 80 years. And we do have old windows.
We also have an especially cool house, so we don't need AC except in my attic office all summer. The trade off is it is also especially cool in the winter. |

Not that i care about polotics, but it is interesting that you allow all the trash, profanity, vulgarity and the like that is posed here but ban people for political views you dont agree with. This coming from the man who called freedom of speech "perversion?" And you don't care about polotics [sic], but write things like this?:
"HE IS PART OF THE MACHINE. Do a little research. He is one big lie. the guy is every bit out of the same mold as the bush's and clintons,, in fact he is WORSE. because he was hand picked by the eliete for the very tasks he is performing all while feeding everyone a ration of lies they all swollow like baby chicks." Anyway, if I was banning people for their political views, I would have banned him. My warning was not about the view being expressed, it was about popping in here and dropping political grenades into threads in an effort to derail topics, only to disappear. You have shown a similar tendency with your moralistic scoldings, so if you keep it up and get banned, believe what you want, but it will be because a vast majority of your posts here are off-topic quasi-religious outrage punctuated by name-calling. |

It makes me sick who some allowed to be president. Duly noted. If that again becomes the only thing you post here your new account will be anointed with a ban a lot faster than your old one was. |

DangerDog wrote on Oct 5, 2010, 16:18: They need to stop retelling the origin of Superman and just get to the action As the superhero movie genre matures I think the art of not dwelling too long on origins has gotten better and better, perhaps peaking with the Dark Knight, which leaves the Joker's origin out altogether.
I'd also not try to develop any romance with Lois. Romancing Lois is an integral part of the Supes story.
What needs to be avoided is magical power removal to impregnate Lois while avoiding the "Man of Steel/Woman of Kleenex" paradox, followed by amnesia caused by time-reversal (caused by altering the Earth's orbit) to result in a super-boy with asthma.
God, I just threw up a bit in my mouth just typing that out.
That's some bad crap, Harry! |

Interesting article.
After a personal interview with Steve Jobs, the president of Chile, Sebastián Piñera, said that the owner of Apple was “very close to death.” I didn't know Jobs was president of Chile. Wonder where he finds the time? |
