What is a "de facto" review of a cheat's effectiveness? I mean, what other kind of review is there?

The other kind would be if the site listed it as a review of cheating methods rather than as an analysis of why one player started cheating.

Were you expecting a different explanation?

I don't see many people talking about their kids around here. Makes me wonder how many other members are DINKs in their 30's (or up).

We were talking a bit about how DINKy our circle is, and whether this reflected our situation or a change in general. There were four couples at dinner Saturday, and only one had kids. Definitely not a baby boom.

Really Blue? So this was fixed in a few days instead of a few months (ie: how it was for Diablo 2), and this brings into question the benefits of always-on? /facepalm If anything is shows the benefit of it.

"They use this incident to once again question the game's inconvenient always-on DRM."

Emphasis added, though it seemed clear enough to begin with.

Right, that's why you tacked that troll bait story as the lead onto a story regarding the official terms of service being updated for the Authenticator and the RMAH.

So a story about possible item duping in Diablo III isn't newsworthy, it's "troll bait"?

Bleu, as a guy that's worked with some incredible chefs you pick up things over the years about things like brining. Restos don't do it - again unless it's a flavour bath - because there's no need to. Seriously, try what I said and see. Tent loosely in foil/cook/remove foil for maillard reaction/eat. You will see it works out perfectly.

Well, I doubt those chefs were actually grilling over charcoal in their restaurants, but I have actually never seen much argument against brining from anyone. And it is indeed to impart flavor as well as moisture: I have garlic and lemon and pepper and more in the brine. Chicken turns out better than without it, and I've tried various ways.

you always want to sear the meat first, not after you cook it through

otherwise its pointless .. the objective is to keep the moisture in

That's a myth. The sear is for flavor. It doesn't seal in squat.

And I'm all about the brine. Never realized there were a bunch of non-brining heathens around here.

I think I got ya beat Blue...

Today is the 25th anniversary of my fathers death, and my mom calls me at 12:30am having a heart attack.
Seems either she had a heart attack, or when she had a angiogram 2 days ago they tore something on the way out. So they can't do a CT scan cause that much dye in 72 hours would fry her kidneys.

I fucking hate May 24th.

I can't even imagine what you are going through. I don't know what to say except you have my sympathies and all my hopes she's okay.

I was in the beta event this weekend, played several chars to see what one I liked best. I have to say my two favorites were the Warrior and the Thief. Had a blast with the beta. Some really intense battles in the multi stages events you do with other people. The game is going to be a Hugh success for Arena Net.

"So I'll tell you all the story 'bout the warrior and the thief of the night!"

I tried your chili recipe way back and it was delicious.

I'm planning on using the new one with some dried ghost chillis, but I'm a bit nervous on how much to put in. I may drop just one in and see. If its 8 times stronger than a habanero, then 1 ghost should equal "weapons grade" plus a little bit

I'd kinda like someone else to try tho, before I kill my workmates...

Funny, I wouldn't mind someone else taking the plunge first either. As I said, I may experiment with making some hot sauce using one of the ghosts to get a sense for how potent they are.

Glad you liked how the chili turned out.

Ok, just for the hell of it, I put up some examples of how I think the front page could be 'spruced up' some. Again, just for the hell of it, mainly just to get it out there and out of my list of things to remember to do. It feels like my brain is running out of memory lately. I wish I could just pop in another stick of...bRAM? Alas, that's not gonna happen anytime soon, so here you go: http://clubrigs.wordpress.com/2012/04/26/bluesnews-gradients/

I didn't get permission from Blue to show an altered version of the front page, forgive me. I just wanted to know what everyone thought of the idea... ;P

That's not an issue. If people have thoughts on this I'd be happy to hear them.

Which part did you get stuck on? I'm curious if it's the same part that had me for a while. Actually, there was a few parts that had me going WTF!?

I'll tell you the two places I needed much more work than expected:

There was a level where you leave the inside labs and need to get across to offices way up on the other side of a huge chasm. It required going back to the speed gel on the floor you previously used to get past some crushers and use it gain momentum to run into a portal on the wall and jump the gap.

The other is the one where you have to manipulate a blob of repelling gel through the pushing/pulling beam so you can drop it on a string of sentry guns on the other side of a glass barrier.

Interested if those were parts others thought were particularly hard or easy.
