You made decision to not move to California?

Yes we did. Shockingly, I know all about you and your love for your SoCal weather, so I guess I'll address that part of this.

Among other things, we actually have concerns about the viability of living on the fringe of a giant desert that satisfies the water needs of a huge population by diverting the already way-overstressed Colorado River. I am not very optimistic about the future of your area.

I'll see your link, and raise you one:

Here's another:

Glendale 10 day forecast. Chance of precipitation: 0%.

Blue, doesn't your wife work at disney interactive?

Formerly. We forewent the opportunity to relocate with her job to Glendale. I'd be lying if I said one of our concerns about that was something like what happened in this story.

Edit: Actually, MrsBlue corrects me that she never worked at Disney Intertactive, but rather at Disney Worldwide Publishing. The reasoning for not moving stands.

Egg creams. Oo la la. Aren't we hoity toity today. I have no idea what egg creams are but it sounds like something Thurston and Lovey would be sipping.

Hardly.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egg_cream

An egg cream is a beverage consisting of milk, and soda water as well as vanilla or chocolate syrup, and is especially associated with Brooklyn, home of its alleged inventor, late 19th-century candy store owner Louis Auster. Most modern versions of the drink contain neither eggs nor cream.

The egg cream is almost exclusively a fountain drink. Although there have been several attempts to bottle it, none has been wholly successful, as its fresh taste and characteristic head require mixing of the ingredients just before drinking.

This isnt really a 'steam' thing it's just another application on the steam store.

The title makes it sounds like its an integrated feature which is mislading

Actually I think the inclusion of the word "utility" makes is sound completely unlike an integrated feature.

I know they gave some out to the press for 3. I heard that based on their weight, they tore easily.

Well to be fair, they do work at desks a lot. Oh wait... you meant the violators' weight?

Not at all. I'm just suggesting making a couple of public updates along the way may have been a way of preventing it coming to the point where
he said: "That was really a lesson for us, learning that even though our backers are really well informed, the rest of the world hadn't really heard of us since the Kickstarter happened."

Was it nearly as good as Scandal's Warrior?

One of my pet ways of annoying the crew is by turning various moments into musical interludes, so I actually did sing bits of that while we are playing. I regularly make MrKawfy crazy by singing Black Betty any time someone says Bouncing Betty.

I'm sure Bats' regret that the game is always full is eased knowing this.

Sorry, yeah, we are quite consistent... we have only played these four players together in co-op since we rolled them up, and always as a foursome except for a point during a boss battle where our gunzerker lagged out, and has been a little behind on XP ever since.

I think it is... it used to be the BBC writing NASA, but to have the mouthpiece for Xbox LIVE not respect their own oddball capitalization scheme seems even weirder. He even calls himself Xbox Live's Major Nelson. Weird.

Did they finally fix it where some of that awesome loot is no longer under the warriors body, and you can actually get everything?

Seems that way -- I remember that from the first time I soloed the Warrior, but there were no issues last night.

Also, RIP Ralph.

and an incredible catalog of first-hand anecdotes from the golden age of baseball.

A lot of these "first-hand anecdotes" from baseball's old timers tend to simply not be true.

You'll notice that I made separate mention of his knowledge of the game from the point about the anecdotes, as they are two different areas. It's like the old saying about not letting the facts get in the way of a good story.

From his Daily News obit:

He once met the actress Jamie Lee Curtis at the ballpark. Ralph, in his courtly way, told Jamie Lee that there had been a time when he was a younger man when he’d dated her mother, the actress Janet Leigh.

At which point, according to Ralph, Jamie Lee leaped into his arms and yelled, “Daddy, I’ve finally found you!”

If you live there (I have never been and have no desire to even get close to the cess pool)

At least you're open-minded on the topic.

The square? Yea, would never even dream of going there. Are there things I want to see in NY? Sure, but it is pretty far down on the list.

The question: Is there anything there that someone who lives in NY needs to go to in that area? Don't people avoid it?

Well, it's the junction of three major midtown thoroughfares (Broadway, Seventh Avenue, and 42nd Street), so it's sort of smack in the middle of things, and how Broadway veers westward as you travel uptown makes it an efficient path in many cases. People avoid the area because it's touristy, but there are tourists everywhere, so if you need to pass through Times Square, you do it.

The cesspool comment is out of date, however, though maybe you didn't mean it how I'm reading it. There was a time when the place was a dirty den of porno theaters, peep shows, and assorted crime not limited to drugs and prostitution. But nowadays its all cleaned up and commercialized, so if you have a desire to see a Broadway show or eat in a theme restaurant, or if you need to catch a bus at the Port Authority Bus Terminal, it's a perfectly safe experience. Overly commercialized and lacking some of its former character? Definitely. Cesspool? Not at all.
