The 15 Most Annoying Video Game Char... |

Baby Mario from Yoshi's Island Why he annoyed us: Did you know that human beings are biologically programmed to find a baby's crying unpleasant? If you answered 'yes', congratulations, you're smarter than Nintendo.
Every time Baby Mario is separated from Yoshi, he bawls his lungs out, releasing one of the most ear-piercing sound effects in video game history. While the relentless crying does prompt the player to urgently recover Baby Mario, it comes at a great price: their sanity. which makes eating baby mario more satisfying: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nfigSWuh7o

What a terrible comparison. Far Cry came out for the PC in 2004. Far Cry Instincts came out for the 360 in 2006. yes, i know. i just wanted to highlight the quality of the rendering of an xbox 360 by itself. as a comparison, its stupid, but i couldn't find a high quality video of the xbox game easily. So, if you want to upgrade to a mid level system, you can buy a Core 2 Duo Processor, ECS motherboard that supports it, and 2 gigs of memory, all for $300. do you really think an average person on the street will bother to build his own system from parts? if you can show me a gaming PC system with xbox 360 quality graphics, without a monitor, for $350 dollars, then i'll change my opinion. look at the quality of rendering of an xbox: http://xboxmovies.teamxbox.com/xbox-360/2898/Far-Cry-Instincts-PREDATOR-Xbox-360-vs-PC-Water-Comparison/ and bioshock for the pc (dx9 at high)and xbox 360 look just the same.

if they just made a 8800GT class graphics card $100, PC gaming would get saved.
the issue is, who, other than hardcore gamers in this forum, would want to spend $1000 on a PC when you can spend less than half of that to get a decent console? once all console games support keyboards and mice that connect to the USB ports on those consoles, there will be little hope left for the PC.

So what did people do? They did what he said, they made characters with names like LIILILILILILI, so you fought 50 people with almost an identical name, making it impossible to target anyone to focus fire. won't it be better if they called themselves LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIL?

how did they improve the performance and compatibility without access to the source code? if they reverse engineered it, why don't they share their findings with nvidia, who maybe even can hire them to make their drivers faster?

Or if you know, if you were looking at the game using a PC monitor instead of through a DIGITAL CAMERA. What kind of two-bit gaming website takes screenshots that way? agreed.

from the article:
Nancy Ascher persuaded an employee to search the Radisson's guest records by first name and country of residence ... Nancy Ascher charmed the hotel employee into sharing the guest's e-mail address. one way of getting e-mail addresses for spam, sleeping with hotel employees.
seriously, isn't Radisson's image damaged because of this article?

now that i think of it, if having a blurry eyesight makes AA unnecessary, then why bother getting glasses plus an expensive gfx card? or just take them off before you game.

i think the benchmarks showed that the 8600GT is only slightly faster than the 7600GT. This comment was edited on Jan 14, 00:48. |

Fans of PC games will always be wanting to have at least 2x AA ... It can't handle High settings at all. medium in the jungle, low in the alien ship and low-med custom in the ice and carrier. ... I have an 8600 GT ... Crysis should run well on my system with Medium settings i don't think so.
